[Q] Unlocked LG OGPro work on Verizon? - LG Optimus G Pro

I got my S4 stolen last night, and will be looking at getting a phone to replace it. I was going to just do the 12 monthly payments for another S4 and call it a day. But the price is still 650-700 bucks, so I started looking at other options. The LG Optimus Pro looks AMAZING, and I found an unlocked international one on Amazon for 480 with free shipping.
My question is whether or not the unlocked phone would work on Verizon. I don't want to buy this phone online and wait for the shipping, just to have it not work with Verizon's 4G. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This phone looks incredible.

No the unlocked phone is still an unlocked GSM phone, and you need a CDMA phone.

OK thanks. I saw this in the description, so I wasn't sure.
*This is Korea F240 version, Work for worldwide WCDMA 3G & & 4G LTE Network
edit:
I also saw this for the phone.
Cellularhone
Cellular-Networks: GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS2100 (B1)
Cellular-Data+Links: GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, HSPA+
Call_Alert: 72 -chord melody
Vibrating_Alert: Supported
Speakerphone;: Supported
Secondary:Cellular-Phone
Dual_Cellular_Network+Operation: Dual standby
Secondary-Cellular;Networks: CDMA1800 (BC4), LTE2100 (B1), LTE850 (B5)

It can be confusing because, although related, CDMA refers to the base 2G technology Verizon uses with almost no one else worldwide using it, where as WCDMA is used for 3G/4G services pretty much worldwide.

I will do that tomorrow. I found the F240 model, and looked up the datasheets for it, that's where I found it. It's the Korean version.

If it's designated as a "world phone" it would have the correct technologies in place to work in theory.

Yeah, I just wish I could get my hands on the actual literature the explicitly states that it has the right radios in there, evne if they're secondary. I'm not sure what that even means.

even if it has the correct radios, vzw doesnt just allow any phone on their network.

It is not possible simple as that..... even if it was technically possible, verizon doesnt allow anything other than verizon phones on their network anyway..

According to GSMArena, the i927 utilizes the following frequencies:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
I'd say that makes it a definite 'no' on the 4g...

Is the international GS3/quad core compatible with T-Mobile?

I assume the quad core gs3 is GSM? Will it work with T-Mobile 4G HSPA+? My friend is on T-Mobile and is planning to get the gs3 off contact. He wanted me to find out if T-Mobile 4G will work with the quad core version or should he just buy the T-Mobile version instead.

It will work but you will be stuck on Edge.
I'd check what frequencies it has. I'm using a T-Mobile version on at&t and get 4g data. If the international version has T-Mobile's frequencies then it should work.

Are you getting 4g lte or hspa? I don't think t-mobile s3 can do lte

Would this work?
Tmobile uses Band (frequency): 850 MHz;900 MHz;1800 MHz;1900 MHz;UMTS: Band I (2100);UMTS: Band IV (AWS);UMTS: Band V (850)
Device Additional Information tab on that site says "Service 900, 1800, 1900, 850, 3g 2100"
But at the top of the page it says "Band:GSM 850/900/1800/1900"
T-Mobile UMTS/HSPA+ (3G/4G) mostly runs off 1700/2100 and the international model i9300 does not support the frequency we use. The quad band GSM/EDGE will work (and therefore voice/text and slow internets).
AT&T uses a more normal 850/1900 for everything but LTE, making them more "Normal" along with our Canadian neighbors.
T-Mobile is weird :-o.
If you've got access to any make of GSM based + unlocked iPhone, stick your T-Mobile SIM in it and see what speed you can get. An unlocked AT&T phone may work for testing also. We're supposed to be getting better coverage in this kinda frequency range for that but it will likely be a long time before we get sufficient coverage to enjoy a i9300.
Well put. It will be a long time before we see decent coverage for AT&T/UK phones.

I saw it on androidcentral.com.. it wouldn't make sense if it didn't include 2g though because there are many areas that have poor to no 3G/H+ coverage, so 2g fallback is a must

You do realize that their 2g (1900 mhz) carries the voice signal.
You think T-mobile don't want voice anymore?

Both 1900 and 1700 carry voice. 1700 carries it over UMTS and HSPA and soon, LTE as well through VoLTE technology.
Anyway OP, the S4 will support all major bands for voice and data and will support 700 and 1700 LTE at minimum.

I'm not saying that other frequencies can't carry voice. I'm saying 1900 is T-Mobile's voice band. If you take away the 2g 1900 then all people in rural areas won't be able to make a phone call.

Well if you change it it'll have to be a setting the carrier supports, in my case I changed the umts frequency to 1900 just to test and it worked fine.. it was similar to 1700 except there's more coverage on 1700, for example I didn't get service at home but in other places I did so I just went back to 1700

T-mobile S4 on AT&T network not getting LTE

I have an unlocked Galaxy S4 T-Mobile version but when I put AT&T SIM it doesn't get LTE. I thought the T-Mobile version had compatible LTE with AT&T. I have entered the right APN for AT&T though, anyone can help?

Make sure your account has the 4g lte package. When you login to your att account should say like.
Data pro 4g lte.
If it says data pro 4g. Its not going to give you lte.
You need to have the imei of an att lte phone on your account then it will work.
I am sure that my data plan has LTE, I took it out my iPhone5 and I got LTE on my iPhone5. I have enabled the LTE and put the right APN. Still no data connection, I have not flashed it to a different modem. So what's wrong?
How to select the right LTE band? I have only select the "Network mode" to LTE/GSM/WCDMA(auto connect). and APN is that all?

Not to bash or anything, but I don't see why people try to use a phone for one carrier on another. Why not just sell (or trade?) your unlocked T-Mobile S4, for an AT&T S4?
You can still get retail price for the phone if it's in great condition. Then you wouldn't have this issue.
To me, I don't think whether it supports the same bands matter. Use T-Mobile on T-Mobile, AT&T on AT&T, Sprint on Sprint, so on and so forth.
Just my two cents.

Yeah, for LTE bands, AT&T version has less bands due to their spectrum restriction: 700 MHz (Band 17), AWS, IMT, IMT-E, while the T-Mobile version have all bands: 700 MHz (Band 17), CLR, AWS, PCS, IMT, IMT-E

Incorrect-all AT&T LTE phones support Band 4 and Band 17-AT&T is predominately Band 17 and has a small Band 4 footprint. T-Mobile's entire LTE footprint is Band 4. The real issue with a TMO S4 is whether or not you can roam on AT&T LTE network when no native T-Mobile network exists-especially since T-Mobile switched many of their legacy plans with put a serious limit or outright block on data roaming.

It will "work", but I'm not sure how well. You will for sure get basic voice and text, as well as 2g data, and I think ATT and T-mobile share one LTE band, so if the LTE where you are is on that band, you should get that as well. However, I think their HSPA+ bands are different as well as their 3g bands, so you might not be able to get those. Someone may correct me though, as I'm new to T-mobile (and GSM) so I may be wrong on the 3g and HSPA+ part.
Yes, it will work. T-Mobile M8 will work on AT&T network for 2G, 3G, 4G, and LTE. T-Mobile M8 and AT&T M8 are the same phone, except the T-Mobile M8 has more bands to support T-Mobile's network.
This is AFAIK, if I am incorrect, someone please correct me.

In short: 3G will work, but since AT&T’s 3G network is limited to 21 Mbps, you will only get half of the potential speed. 4G will mostly work, but the T-Mobile version does not have the radio/antenna for AT&T’s 1900 MHz network, meaning you can only get 700 MHz and AWS. 700 MHz 4G should be nationwide, though. See the deals below.

You’re close, but the T-Mobile version had fewer LTE bands. Just FYI, 4G is LTE (bad marketing not withstanding). Here are the frequencies of the T-Mobile and AT&T M8s:
2G/2.5G - GSM/GPRS/EDGE:
850/900/1800/1900 MHz
3G - WCDMA:
