Google meenova, it's a microsd card adapter for your micro use phones/tablets
Just thought I'd share this. I've been following their kick-start campaign and can't wait to pick one of these up. I plan on using it for music, as I don't listen to it too often, iI'd rather keep my internal storage for other things.
Anyone else interested?
I already posted about it lol

Hi,
I'm thinking of getting a 2GB card for my XDA IIi. Any recommendations?
I just had a 1 GB card fail after 4 months of a 5 year guarantee (from Integral Memory) and need something reliable to replace it. Does speed make a huge difference? SD or MMC? I'm running Lexipedia, Word, Lexisgoo and a Rhyming Dictionary mostly.
TIA
Happy Xmas
M
Any experiences good or bad? Any links? You know the sort of thing people might say in a helpful forum. Surely some of the 150 people online must have had a memory card or two in their time and know more about it than I do.
Cheers

Before resorting to sarcasim maybe looking under the "Alpine" you would have come accross this http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=29784 and all your questions would have been answered
OK thanks. I did a search for SD Card, SD card recommendations etc. and got about 8000 responses, none of which seemed relevent. I looked at Alpine Accessories which looked to be the most appropriate forum and there was nothing.
Anyway being slightly rude got a response. Thanks again!
I have been using a 2GB SanDisk card for about a year with my XDA2i without problems. Until last week when it seems all the data on the card has become corrupt (see attached file). The data looks the same whether the card is read on the XDA or on a card reader. Any way it can be salvaged?
Hi all,
First of all... the subject has probably been up before, thread might even be a thread covering it, or for all I know a whole forum section about it.
If there is, and I missed searching for it I sincerely ask for your apology.
- Now to my question:
Can anyone recommend a good store in London that sell cheap, no-fake memory cards? I'm visiting for a couple of days, and my 8gb micro sd card in my HTC Desire just started acting up on me (the phone wants to mount it read-only all the time)
So if someone has a suggesion for a store where I can get 8-16gb without getting either "robbed" or cheated it would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
gosa

I live in London but got a 16gb class10 micro sd card from ebay for around £17. Speed test showed it ran about class 16 if there wad one ! not sure if I'm allowed to put the vendors name here though ?

So, I know this may seem like a dumb question and i'd like to say that i should know what the problem is, But i can't seem to figure it out. I just bought a Sandisk 32GB MicroSD Class 10 card. I just ordered a Motorola Xoom Verizon Edition and what i was trying to do is transfer my movies from my PC to the card. I inserted the card in a usb reader and then my PC recognizes it right away. I open the folder and try to drag and drop a 2GB movie and it keeps giving me an error saying "can't read from source file or disk" I mean i have a custom built PC that is running W7 64bit and trust me the hardware is top of the line. I have all my movies saved on my SSD and all i under 3GB a piece.
Anyone heard or seen this problem or is there an easier way to getting these movies on my xoom then on to the card? If i had to, id be willing to put them on the hd on the xoom, but i was hoping to hace 64gb to play with.
Thanks in advance

Hmmm, Could it be that my card reader does not support micro sdhc?
Compatible with multiple memory cards
Including Secure Digital, Secure Digital High Capacity, SDXC and microSD formats.
Close this thread, solved the issue.

How did you fix it???

Apparently the card reader I bought didn't support sdhc for microsd. I just bought it a month ago, you'd think it would support it.

Hey guys, not sure if I should post it in the question or accessories topic but I think I will fined more help her. So today my SD card that came with the phone just broke, so I started to search on a local store to fined one, but I'm not sure about something. Will any SD card work with my Play (r800i) or do I have to buy a specific one from Sony ?
Here are the 2 I found:
http://www.emag.ro/card-de-memorie-sandisk-microsdhc-8gb-class-4-sdsdqm-008g-b35/pd/EM2QTBBBM/
http://www.emag.ro/card-de-memorie-samsung-micro-sdhc-8gb-class-4-mb-ms8gb-eu/pd/ENYRKBBBM/
If they are ok, which one would you recommend ?
They will both work, my card isn't Sony-made either.
Seeing as they're both class 4, there probably isn't a huge difference in speed, so you might as well go with the cheapest one.
Hey guys, so I thought I might write my opinion on this awesome piece of technology that is called Mini MicroSD Card Reader for Android.
First, for those of you who are not familiar with it:
This thing allows you to have expandble storage for you Nexus (or almost any other Android phone).
I bought it because I like installing a lot of ROMs, watching a lot of movies, etc. So all I have to do is to hook the Micro SDcard reader into my Nexus 5 and just like that, all of my data is there.
This is the link to their website: http://www.meenova.com/st/p/m3r.html
It even comes with a little keychain holder. It so small and compact that you wouldn't even regret spending 12$ on it. And you can even pick a color.
Note: For this to work, you need to install a free app from the Play Store called "StickMount". It's made by Chainfire, and it's free, although you can purchase it to support him.
I attached some photos down below and I also urge you to watch some videos about how simple it is.
Continue watching other videos about this, just so that you would be sure that you want it: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=mini+micro+sd+card+reader+meenova
I bought it and Im very happy with it. It works perfectly.
I have and it works normally.
There's Already a thread on this. You could've just posted your thought on it in that thread
Works like a champ!

Wish they would have put some more thought/design into the USB adapter.
Otherwise, this looks like a great item. On the fence about getting one.
Breakdown of the reader
I used it for several months with no problem at all.
Exfat and NTFS worked with card to 64gb in FAT32...
Recently, it is not any more recognized on telephone or computer.
Tested with various cards : 4gb, 8gb, 32gb and 64gb.
Under different format.
Anybody had this problem?
Thank you
I had the same problem. It was dead. They replaced it for free...all they required were a few pictures of the meenova not functioning.
Do we require root access to use this on our Nexus 5 ?

Not if you use Nexus Media Importer. For Stickmount, the answer is yes.

Great AFTER-SALES SERVICE
Just ordered mine today!
me 2 :]
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free...-Reader-Connection-For-Mobile/1885206545.html
I'm not sure how good it is, but it's 4 times cheaper, so might be worth it? Slightly bigger though, as it also has the usb to pc connection. There were a few other different ones on that site, might be worth a look if you don't mind waiting 20 days for china to ship it to you
Micro USB to Type A Adapter
FWIW, the Meenova comes with a micro USB to type A adapter that allows it to be used with a notebook or PC without removing the SD card. Of course that can be purchased separately and probably doesn't justify the cost differential but I also think the Meenova reader is smaller and lighter which could be a factor if you plan to move the phone while using it.

Just got mine in the mail today, this thing is AWESOME!! The only thing is, at least for me, I can't delete anything through the phone, which, I guess is a good thing in a way.

It might be a problem with your micro SD card. Try checking for errors using "Tools" in properties for the drive on a PC or notebook.
