[Q] Help!! How to enter Recovery Mode on Arc?

Hello Guys,
Can anybody help me regarding my problem,
How can enter into Recovery mode of my Arc.?
Phone:Xperia Arc
Android:2.3.4 - 4.0.1.A.0.283
Rooted and Unlocked Bootloader

Install it, and read the guides. ;-)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437840 or unlock your boot loader.

Download from the link v5 (v7 dies not install properly)and install app, then open app and install cwm into system.
To enter recovery press the back key when you see Sony logo, it might be vol button or just try every button until you find which works on your phone

I am using Rush Kernel on Ultimate HD 3.0.2
Device Arc S
I am not able to get into recovery mode (unlocked bootloader - status checked) with pushed volume down button.
Can anyone help me? Or is this normal? (I am sorry, but I didn't read all 32 pages of Rush Kernel thread)

What you suggest update it or not? I heard rooting is not possible after upgrade to .55 with lock bootloader. Anything new in this firmware except baseband.

Some says better battery life.

there is an OTA of 36.1mb on my device..! will i loose the root, cwm and mods !! if i go for it ??

I'm using that and yes impossible to root without unlocked BL.. You'll lose your cwm, root, kernel..

So i love to stay in Locked bootloader. No need to update it.

The OTA upgrade kept root on my XPS.

OTA will wipe CWM.. Root this what above person said

so m confused

Well u can always make backup of ur current rom and then update. If sh... hits the fan u can always flash. 50 with flashtool and restore.

You can use flashtool for flashing firmware on locked bootloader

Download the original .55 firmware

Extract and put the ftf file in the flashtool/firmware folder
In Flashtool click in the upper left ray and select flash mode.
Select the downloaded firmware and click ok.
Power off the phone and connect while press volume down
When finished reboot your phone

Boot loop after flashing .587..!! Please help..!

I was using Omega ROM, it was smooth for one month, and then it became unstable, So flashed back to .587 and still i get a boot loop
PLease help

Use SEUS to repair your phone, if not use Flashtool. Please search next time instead of posting a new thread about a common issue.

No i flashed the whole .ftf it boots and it displays "Unfortunately ..... Stopped" again again and again and then boot loop occours.Is there a way i can solve this problem..?

There's no stock recovery.

But there is a safemode in Android Jellybean.. Long touch at the power off button and there u will be ask to enter safe mode or not.

2.Unlock bootloader
3.Flash kernel for [SS] with cwm included
4.Power on your phone
5.When notification light is pink press volume(+) button and you will be in recovery mode...

You can use the kernel from Android Original Dev Section, But before that, you need to Backup your TA Partition and then Unlock the bootloader if you wish to have a custom kernel and/or a recovery..

i m little worried about situation were if i locked my phone bye to many pattern attempts and locked my phone what should i do without recover to enter and reset phone does safe mode work for this type of situation so i can enter and reset my phone

There is an option for safemode. 1st press power button it shows options power off, take ss etc.. Now touch and hold in power off. you'll be asked to reboot on safe mode.

Ya indeed there is a safe mode.. Once I accidentally booted my phone in safe mode.. But all the apps were functional.. It was not like PC windows Safe Mode

1. Press and hold power button
2. Press and hold Power off
3. Press ok
Phone will reboot into safe mode
restart the phone to exit safe mode

I have unlocked the bootloader.. But while switching ON my phone there is no pink color notification.. WHat to do??

You need to unlock your bootloader to access recovery mode, if your device isn't unlocked then you can't access your recovery .

Now I have unlocked my bootloader but device is in bootloop now (colorful waves)
I can't able to boot my device into fastboot or recovery what I have to do now please help me
I dont have any backup bcz I think of backuping full ROM using TWRP or other. I tried to backup TA but it shkws error
