Huawei is eager with with EmotionUI development but it's still a way lag behind compared to MIUI V5.

MIUI V5 on honor2/g615 it's not so good ATM.
The battery consumption is very high, RAM management is poor and is very slow compared to EMUI...
Our phones are very similar, I hope it will works better than the honor2 porting..

Looks nice. Is there any possibility for Emui 2.0 running as native android ? So it wouldnt be emulation anymore? And,, is there any release date specified?
A post about EMUI 2.0 made at the end of last month. He attaches a screenshot but im not sure if his source is that screenshot or its something else. Blunt P6 could help translate that screenshot. Anyway im not sure of the accuracy of the info as of for now.
The two relevant posts about emui2.0
I put out to our mouth in front of EMUI1.5 and 1.6 system is a transition at best, 88% of the development of the UI developer for three consecutive months in R & D UI2.0 version, so this version is the ultimate us expect
no nonsense, put EMUI2.0 an updated version of the following describes
1. icon Auto Arrange feature;
2. status bar transparent;
3.N many topics;
4 unlock vibration users set their own;
5.MeWidget optimization;
6 Desktop fluency, Caton, power consumption optimization problem;
7. rid of excess APP software;
8. voice assistant substantial optimization;
9 adds a key lock screen, increase the lock screen, shutdown, restart the drop-down notification bar shortcut buttons;
10 battery icon changes to the user to select whether to use the percentage of battery power.
gaming performance estimates has improved, but the upgrade is not too large, after all, is not generally used Hass GPU core.
Pollen said there are some new drivers GPU upgrade, do not know is accurate, if accurate, is estimated to be in use on the new system.
1 memory optimization is estimated EMUI2.0 overcome the first problem, after all, as the user's main concern.
2 power, greatly optimized, you want to have 100% of electricity that is not possible, unless the invention nuclear battery! @ Diao silk Little Prince @ tears _ pattering @ kilge_xu @ this number easily reimbursement @ chen729099655 @ Silver Maple Leaf ☆

Revolutionary improvements:
1. camera perfectly optimized. Red screen green screen all goodbye, more exclusive night mode ~ ~ big slogan that everyone is after seven photographers, dissatisfied take photographs?
(2) Theme DIY whole series opener. Icon, background, status bar ... the perfect mix of compatible third-party themes, big slogan - after seven dry hair brush miui? Shualewagan hair? Brush flyme dry hair? See my big seven straight mash ~ ~
3. power consumption chip-level optimization. 124 most power? no.no.no ... 2.0 version based on the 124, and then saving ½ ... most importantly, the battery charge five times faster! Is not it Guards? ?
4 revolutionary process management optimization. Daemon frequency of the activity is automatically adjusted to run, semi-dormant, hibernating or a complete end to reduce unnecessary consumption hardware, any program, any time, any place ... perfect smooth running, big seven cheap cheap new users often asked ~ What is the Caton ah? It's time for a change...I think some might like the changes others might not..
I've created an App. (it's my first one so no laughing!!!)
It contains the same options you know and love and a couple of new ones!!!
The idea of creating an App is to cut down on the number of files I have to tinker with each week. It was taking too much time. This way I only have to modify the SystemUI.apk and the Launcher2.apk and I'm done.
Those users who couldn't use this Mod because of the changes to services.jar should now be fine..
Couple of things to note..
The option to Hide the Debug Icon is missing. I'm trying to work out a way of hiding the icon without modifying services.jar
If you change the battery Top Bar you might notice a delay of a few seconds before it updates.. (Just me being Lazy)
The Auto Close feature is now standard with the Launcher so the option to enable it is no longer needed.
There are three version
ESCenter - Center Clock Version
ESSwitched - Center Clock, Notification and signal icons switched.
ESRight - Standard version with clock on the right as normal.

i strong heartedly disagree with the above poster. I'm on MIUI atm, and I get one full day of use out of my SGS, with HSDPA enabled /always connected, lots and lots of browsing, phone calls, sms, yahoo and whatsapp messenger online almost 24/7, some games, some BT transfers and some Wifi.
then again, I do know how to customize my SGS with black themes and various other settings to extend battery life...btw, no underclocking or undervolting..
no way you're gonna get the same level of polish and the same experience on Eclair..
just my 2 cents...
cheers!

I would have to also tell you, yea there is...
Just because there are people like yourself who extremly are satisfied with it and consider it a top rom, doesn't mean everyone see it in the same light.
I stuck with MIUI with every version from 3 to the latest 5.3, it was my first ever custom rom, and as much as I wanted to like it I finnaly decided to give up on it for the foreseeable future. Even for someone who tried to like it was biased toward it it is more a gimmick rom for entertainment, than proper sgs rom you'd consider serious. Even tried to get my friends on it while I was on it, everyone hated it.
In my opinion it has great potential, but its still in its infancy. It is way to rough and misguided to be a good solid rom. Even going to a base 2.2 rom just rooted and lagfixed beats MIUI in almost every aspect. I finnaly don't feel like breaking my phone again. Almost every aspect of MIUI is different, which is where the appeal comes from, but somehow the difference is rarely for the better and it manages never to be as good even an original rom in terms of usability. At the moment I would consider it the poorest choice out of the the popular roms.
Since you will probably ask, the biggest downfalls off the top of my head I had with MIUI is unrelenting and completely unsolvable battery drain issues. This alone makes the rom not worth taking seriously. Calendar, the way you set your alarm, messaging, contacts etc, having to press double or more buttons to get to particular areas the stock phone does in 1, little things like that.
Laggy menus is another one.
I dont even want to get into how bad this rom is with the camera. Horrendeus software, menus etc, recording upside down, and on top of that it completely incapacitated the video recording of the phone. VErsion 5.3 and the videos still record at 3fps and the frames jump back and forward every 2 seconds as well...
heres miui on a good day for you.

Adding an extra option isn't that difficult. Getting that extra option to do what it's supposed to do is the tricky bit!!! )
If Galnet has managed to work out how to implement this feature I'm sure he's more than capable of adding an option to the settings menu but having said that I'm more than happy to help out if needed..

Ok so it's basically like CM7 and MIUI had a baby. CMsettings, miui notification toggles, launcher named "Coopoui", and some "Ligux tool", which is basically just a power menu. (Bootloader, recovery, shutdown, reboot, fast [hot] reboot). The end.
Yes, but I cottage the IPHONE!
That entire website belongs on engrishfunny.
Edit: don't go on engrish funny. I've been on there for 2 1/2 hours now./
this looks interesting.. AND i totally agree.. the first time i used miui, my FIRST thought when looking at the launcher was "this is WAY too cottage the IPHONE"
I recall a thread about this ROM...never felt like trying it though....But it sure as hell looks good!
good
yes, i use it now.
Its quite nice. Nothing new. Its smooth, fast, still has some chinese characters throughtout the rom (mostly english though). Will continue to use this throughtout the day to see how much I like it. Thanks to the poster for bringing this rom to light on xda.

Release a free version after the paid version and people won't be happy they've paid. Release a free version before the paid version and you build up a userbase. Those who like it will normally buy the paid version to support the developer.
Also, with the 1 comment so far that states it slows down the device it'll be hard to attract people to pay to test it.

Thats a good point, Ive been running like mad trying to test on other devices.
BTW I could really use opinions on what should be limited in the free version, and what should be added to the pro version.
Right now im going to add 3 graphical settings to pro, trial will be on the lowest, im thinking of removing the animation or slowing it to a crawl, but I could really use XDA's Opinion.
Im also going to make an XDA Version, a middle tier version for free for XDA, ive notice some developers do that.

Speed and color options should be in the pro version. I'd work on the performance issue, noone wants lag or battery drain, they won't buy pro version if free is too performance-heavy. The idea is nice though, I'll surely try the free version (at least) when it is ready
I agree with everyone above in that a free version should be offered at the same time or before the paid but not after for the same reasons mentioned above.
As for features in the pro version, I'd like to see the option for selecting a gate that goes over the event horizon. Being able to select one of the 3 gates from the various shows would be cool. I would pay for that.
There are no features or any changeable settings. I don't know what you possibly strip down for a free version.

For apps, services & data:
-Streamlined Exchange Active Sync, particularly when running an encrypted set-up
-Boosted connection stability for 2G network data
-Ensured preferences on 3rd party apps remain after reboot – not a common problem, but we understand it can be a frustrating one!
For battery:
-Economised power consumption, and heat dispersion for longer life
-Corrected juice level notifications, especially when running low
And for hardware & UI:
-Introduced a home key long-press to launch Google Now, and a double-press to launch Recent Apps
-Made sure the volume “up” button is fully responsive
Has this update Stamina mode?
According to the leaks of first jelly bean, this is gonna take months to roll out. Again. I'm out.
Powered by GSR with Android 4.1.2 on the board.

It's real. Notice the baseband, it's different. It's not possible to change baseband version.
According to leaker,
-1080p is fixed
-White Balance setting present
-2G fixed with new baseband
-Long press to go to Google Now

No way that is true. They probably mean they fixed the white balance issue with flash photos on camera.

Sometimes people who know something cannot provide any form of evidence to protect people who leak that knowledge (like Sony or carrier employees). I could sense that this guy was not lying or trolling us. There is a new hope ahead
You've mentioned that it must be certified within a days?
It possible to change baseband, i changed it on arc many times, same works for Xperia S as i know.

Great news! I read on XperiaBlog.net a minute ago.
Can't wait to get the new update for my beautiful Xperia S!
check this link http://www.xperiaguide.com/2013/08/...b-1-96-firmware-screenshots-changelog-leaked/ ...it says we have got following things fixed :
1080p Full HD video recording lag fixed.
Purplish tint in photos due to unbalance white mode is fixed.
Pressing Home button now releases Google Now.
Double tapping the home button opens recently opened programs.
Bug with Volume up and down buttons fixed.
2G Data connectivity fixed.
To do:
-HDMI lagg fix
-Stamina mod
Then good
And for Ion users, we should see the update by December/January

Here's what Huawei said:
"The new EMUI for Honor 6X will be arriving next month, and it’s been updated based on consumer feedback. In case you or your team is planning a full review any time soon, it might be worthwhile to wait!"

Previously I read on Chinese forum is Q1 for China, so they move forward the schedule for global as well.
Hope they can add a double tap to wake in the future update!

Here you can find some screenshots http://imgur.com/a/dhvGI
The main differences are in the multitasking view and about the toggles style, if you have any specific question I'm always around here to answer
PS: Probably we'll need a rollback package in order to be able to downgrade from this version, I won't even try with a standard firmware :angel:

How customisable is the navigation bar?
One of the things I miss most (coming from cm13) is the ability to put a constant menu button on the lower right hand corner. Yes yes it's the same function of a button in most apps but that button is on the upper left corner of the screen (usually) while my thumb is usually on the lower right corner.

There are some options to change the layout in Smart Assistance > Navigation Bar. It's just a little limited. I am just wondering if the same limitations exist in 5.0
