Ok so here is my problem. I rooted my Galaxy S3 a year ago, everything worked fine. I disabled some system apps because I had no use for them, not deleted just disabled, using NoBloat. Well I upgraded to the S4 active and am selling my S3. I figured Id do a factory reset and completely forgot abot the disabled apps, one of which was the home screen. I can access the settings and notification bar, I can boot into recovery and download mode. I do not have a keyboard tho. I have tried to reflash the stock firmware which i downloaded from sammobile and Have used both odin and the recovery mode manual upgrade, both fail. Any help or direction would be excellent.

Ok I think I got it. as I was replying to you I remembered I have a bluetooth keyboard. Luckily I was able to pair it and I was then able to email myself a launcher which then showed me all my apps and now i reinstall nobloat and I can enable all the disabled apps. Thank you.
Just a suggestion but if it works donate and give the donate key to the person that buys your phone

hello,
i need to get my GSM GNex to complete stock so i could send it back to expansys to get an exchange (screen issues)
anyway, i unlocked bootloader, flashed CWM, rooted my phone via galaxy nexus toolkit v5.6
i was wondering if anyone could check if what i'm planning to do is correct way to turn my phone in to complete stock (just out of the box) state.
1. lock my bootloader
2. reflash stock recovery
3. extract and flash google factory stock rom
is this order correct?
if not, can someone correct me?
or if this is not what i'm supposed to do, how do i turn it back to the complete stock?
i'm not sure, but i'm seeing an option in GNex toolkit to backup and restore the phone.
i don't remember if it was mandatory to make a backup right after you install the drivers for the GNex in the toolkit.
should i use backup and restore option in toolkit instead? would it remove SU and turn everything into stock like fresh out of the box?
thank you in advance.
please help!
order should be
2, 3, 1
locking the bootloader will be last.
thank you for the answer.
by the way,
i just found out that i have made the backup files before i did anything.
restoring those files should do the trick too right?
Dude just download a official Google image for your phone and use the fastboot option 8 in the toolkit to flash the official file it will get your phone back to stock will lock the bootloader and everything by itself

Everything but lock the boot loader. The Toolkit does a pretty good job of explaining the process.

Same scenario here. The toolkit will do everything for you, download and all. Just click restore to stock and follow the directions. Worked flawlessly for me.

Yeah, you have to relock it when finished
I've searched for a good 15 minutes, I might have let it slip, but I'm really busy and I need to have this rom for tonight. This is a big time request.
I'm sending my cellphone for overheating problems because I'm still under warranty, and I can't find the Canadian rom for the SGS3(BELL). I have the stock + root one, but I can't find a really stock one. My flash trip counter and other things that should be default are not tripped, so it shouldn't pose any problem.
Last little question : Do I flash the stock rom via cwm to keep the counters normal? It should also remove cwm, right?
Thanks, sorry for being a burden.

Like "freakboy13" said, "If you can get into DL mode, you're golden." Don't worry it just takes patience and you have to keep trying.
1. First, you want to find a stock ROM only (normally 836MB zipped and around 1.42 unzipped)
2. Make sure you're using a domestic ROM, not International and make sure you're using your model number. Do you have AT&T? if so search for - SAMSUNG SGH-I317. If not search for the one you need.
3.Flash it using Odin. I used Odin 1.87 I believe, I didn't have to use 3.07.
4. Let us know how it goes. I had to do it twice and it worked so be patient.

This is a tutorial on how to use the fastest and simplest way back to stock aka Emegrency Firmware Recovery.
This is accessed via kies.
You should do a bit more reading before attempting to use odin. Using odin is not for newbs. Dont just dl apps snd flash stuff with out understanding whats going on. Mobile odin goomanager is great, just know whats actaully going on.
What you a should do is go back to stock via efr. Heres my guide with pics.

yep is too easy if you read and if you have a doubt read again, follow these steps...good luck
a hard reset does a factory reset too if i'm not mistaken which only wipes /data /cache and dalvik. doesn't touch system or boot which is where the rom and kernel are, respectively. therefore doesnt get rid of root

It is so... not hard, its easier then buttering toast, if you can adjust the sound volume on a pc or navigate a standard windows xp/7 o.s , you can odin a tar file to a galaxy phone .. it takes literally 5 min from dload file time / to flashing finished.
In fact you have the easiest phone to deal with be  thankful not a motorola or htc.

Puting a galaxy any galaxy back to stock requires what wr call removing root and more importantly getting stock 3e recovery back. Its only done by flashing the stock out of the box firmware, otherwise known as a tar.md5 file.
You search in GOOGLE,for
"M919 uvuamdl stock tar. "
Dload it to computer then extract file to desktop or a folder
Next Download odin and open odin,
Connect phone to usb cable to the computer. You will see in odin top left corner a com port when your phones recognized the port will be yellow and say com with a # like com8 for example.
Select pda in Odin, it will direct you to the folder you put the tar file in and select open.
Then click start in Odin. When its done itlll say reset/pass .flashing takes 3-10 minutes on average the s4 takes little longer than older galaxy's used to.
Your all done Back to as STOCK AS YOU CAN GET

What does voiding Knox mean? Boot loader flag goes from 0x0 to 0x1
Notes about Knox:
FLASHING A: CUSTOM KERNEL or CUSTOM RECOVERY on MK3 boot loader VOIDS KNOX
CANNOT DOWNGRADE TO OLDER FIRMWARE!
Composed of an OS side and firmware (bootloader-side) implementation. Apps (OS components) can be removed, but the firmware components CANNOT.
You can still root on the new firmware...but you can't flash a custom recovery or custom kernel, or else you will trip Knox
First!!!!
Damn we need a way to get rid of KNOX!!!!!!.... LOL

Is it any way to flash stock recovery and make unrooting by supersu itself?
If you already have a stock rom and recovery installed and you don't have an sd card handy, it's easy to update the zip using ADB sideload. Assuming you have used ADB before and know how to use it on your computer
Download the file and rename it something easy like "update.zip"
reboot the phone into recovery by pressing volume up, home, and power
select the option to update via ADB
plug in phone to computer with USB cable
on your computer open a terminal window and if you want to make sure the ADB connection works type "ADB devices" you should see some numbers listed followed by "sideload"
flash the file by typing "adb sideload update.zip" if you named it update.zip that is, then press enter
once it's done hit the power button to reboot
profit??
