All of my Android games play in portrait mode like riptide, sine mora, crazy taxi, etc. I don't know what's causing this. I don't think it's the rom which I'm on cyanogenmod. Could it be the sixaxis app cause I made a profile for sine mora and started doing it. I have wiped cache and dalvik cache which it stops doing it but when I enable sixaxis games start going into portrait mode again. I just want to be able to use sixaxis with games in landscape mode. Everything else like the browser and email work with the screen rotation

You don't have rotation locked do you? Most games will force landscape regardless. Emulators typically have settings for landscape you have to setup first.
Some market apps can control and force landscape for everything. So make sure all of those are uninstalled too.

I have rotation screen enabled. So if I use like the web browser it rotates both ways. It's just that landscape games play in portrait mode with sixaxis enabled and using a profile

It happens when I enable a profile

Yo XDA,
just wanted to ask if it's possible to lock orientation in landscape mode? I'm running the latest Cyanogen mod. I know it won't be compatible with all apps, but browser, music player and launcher is 'nuff for me.
Thx in advance!

Yes It's possible menu settings adwlancher system preference sensor mode (the last voice)
Browser has an option to lock landscape. Other than that no unfortunately. I tried a few months ago but failed.

On CM go settings>cm settings>display, and check only 90 degrees rotation.
Is there a way to force zoom mode (like in honeycomb 3.2) on apps that do not stretch well to 720p? I haven't found a way to do this and it would be very helpful

Hey guys, came across an app called tablet remote in the app store. Uses WiFi/Bluetooth to connect to your android device which it turns into a game controller. Works well over WiFi, haven't tried Bluetooth yet. Oh, and its free!

Usually people wanna use a controller because touch screen games are usually annoying and inaccurate. So I cant see playing a touch screen game with another touch screen. How u gonna know what buttons your pressing?

I usually would agree, but the app worked flawlessly. It would be awesome to have like some 3D piece to lay over the screen so you could actually "feel" the buttons
This ain't an alternative to sixaxis...

I know this isn't an alternative but does anyone know one like tablet remote that would work with dead trigger? I tried tablet remote but only the left side works the right side doesn't work cuz it doesn't have a secondary joystick for aiming

Just found this app on Google Play that allows full rotation with the Nexus 7 when on the homescreen or in any app.
The app is completely free and doesn't require root.
Check it out!

I would prefer if there was an app that moved the icons to the bottom of the screen etc instead of just rotating them and leaving them where they are.

This is normal on ICS and JB. The Galaxy Nexus behaves this way too.
The only way to accomplish this is tablet mode. Tablet mode always has the status bar at the bottom for all rotations. EOS does this and has full rotation built in.

"Ultimate screen rotation" works great as well. It's free and I believe there is a paid version too.

OP's ap works as advertised, cheap, no surprises.
(I was under impression home rotate, rotation was a big deal.)
Wanted landscape home for car mount.
THS
I am liking the one OP posted so far.

I use ultimate screen rotation too! Works great for me!

Try sslauncher, it lets you rotate anything (even individual icons or text). Screens rotate and let's you have completely different themes in portrait and landscape. Well worth the cost for the full version.
Good find.
Not sure if you guys are aware, but homescreen rotation works with 4.1.2 with the stock launcher

Hello all,
Is it possible to force stock Movies app in landscape mode?
I've tried with Xposed App Settings, but the result was that only the entry screen was forced to landscape mode,
but the playing screen still depends on auto-rotation...
I know that opening Auto Rotation can let the screen turns to landscape mode,
but there is some problem with my Xperia S's Gyroscope,
so for most of the times even if I turn on Auto Rotation it will not rotate to landscape mode, which is very annoying
Is it possible to force the playing screen in Movies app to be in landscape mode?
Maybe decompiling the apk and change some files?
Every answer is well appreciated!:highfive:
