Hello everybody!
I was trying the development option "superposition screen" on tools (Cyanogenmod 10.1) and I have a superposition screen that puts "#1 superpositon 720x480", when i try to get to Settings to quit that, the phone restarts, and when i open a new app the phone restars aswell, I tried wipe cache and dalvik and hard reset but the hard reset dont work, and the wipes dont do anything.
Any help?

Hi,
I have been using ICS for Desire for 1 year. Thanks to this mod I don't even want to buy a new smartphone instead of using my 2.5 years old HTC desire.
However, for 2 weeks I'm having some problems with my phone. When I try to restart the phone, it stucks in boot screen (that has a text "evolver" on the screen with a nice animation) and it doesn't start (I waited ~10 hours). (BTW during the boot the phone is heating up)
I tried "Wipe cache partition" and "Wipe Dalvik Cache" in Clockware Recovery but the problem isn't solved. Then I decided to try another rom "PARANOIDANDROID" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1912187) but same problem occured and it couldn't pass the boot screen.
Then I tried "Factory reset" and the phone successfully started at first. Then I realized that whenever I restart the phone, it still stucks in boot screen and I have to reset all user data with "Factory reset".
I couldn't figure out how to solve this problem, can anyone help me?
Note: The phone is S-ON and the problem suddenly occured and I didn't install/remove something from the phone.
This might be related to the google play store updating to the latest version. It is known to cause a boot loop on every restart for some ICS ROMs. Try this if it helps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33793990&postcount=16742
So, i bootlooped my device somehow, and now I'm trying to factory reset the damn thing. problem is, I go to the recovery screen, where I can choose safe mode, clear cache, and factory reset. I click factory reset, and the little android alien pops up for 1-2 seconds, and then it goes black and the phone restarts. In other words, its not letting me factory reset for some reason.
Please help asap!!

wtf? I never installed a custom ROM or anything. just a custom boot animation and a build.prop edit, and one of those two things boot looped my rig. when i try to factory reset via the hardware buttons, it restarts after 1 second of trying and goes back into the bootloop. i try ever different setting on the recovery screen, and they all have the same result (either safe mode, or delete cache)
how else can i factory reset so i can get my phone back'??

is that stock or custom rom?
if stock then do reset again & wipe dalvik cache, cache then restart
if on custom then reflash custom rom
Hey guys,
The tablet wouldn't recognise my pin. It happened once before but a simple reboot fixed it. This time nothing I tried worked (switched accounts, restart, wiping cache partition). So after a lot of consideration I decided to go to Recovery and do a factory reset. After it finished, it automatically restarted and since then it's in a bootloop.
All the instructions I've read about factory reset say you need to manually reboot after it's finished whereas mine rebooted by itself. Do you think that's why it's stuck now? What can I do?
Hi,
from one day to the next the tablet began to reboot itself continuously.
If I try to access the android menu to perform a factory reset or a wipe cache I can safely.
But at restart it starts restarting until it goes out.
What can I try to verify or do?
I can not remember the version of android installed in the least.
Thanks to anyone who can help me
just nobody ???
I do, and change new battery problem gone.
