I've heard Timely is good, but I haven't used it. I use DoubleTwist Alarm and it's pretty awesome.
Timely is awesome. Big recommendation from me.

Another +1 for Timely.

HIIT interval timer is another alternative. You can customize intervals anyway you want.

Nothing like the stock one, I just remember what a pain was having to set up my alarm on my old galaxy note, touchwiz fault.

I second that. Wake up to Pandora! Not the greatest UI, but definitely the best functionality.
I always used 'alarm clock plus', to stop the alarm with math, to grant I'm awake
I searched one like this with holo UI and don't need be running as service to start the alarm, but didn't found.
Senti Wayk
It has the waive to snooze function

Alarm klock, huge snooze button when alarm goes off and you must slide a different on screen button to deactivate it!

i have been using this after getting it off of amazon's free app of the day. love all the settings, especially changing the snooze intervals.
Which one do you use and works well on JB? Gentle Alarm was my favourite for a long time on GB, but today it crashed and didn' wake me up.
Stock works perfectly.

Gentle alarm working great over here

I must agree on stock, it forfills all my needs.
I use Alarm Clock Ultra Free, though very similar to Alarm Clock Xtreme. On feature I like is that there is an option to snooze or dismiss an alarm by solving a math equation - guaranteed to wake up your brain so you don't dismiss in half asleep stated and oversleep.
Stock is fine for me

Ditto.
I used a damned alarm clock, what is wrong with you people? Just because your phone can do a thing doesn't mean you have to use it for everything! Never heard of a nice old fashioned BIG-ASS-RED-LETTER-LED® Alarm Clock failing to work Just giving you guys a hard time, but seriously just get a damned alarm clock!
Gentle alarm works for me. Have it at for default with Google Now." Google, wake me at 9 am. " done.

What's wrong with stock? It works and works beautifully. I personally wouldn't have a separate app just for waking me up.

Nothing. What's wrong with stock JB? Nothing, I just like the additional features of CM10 more. Same with Gentle Alarm.
I use alarm clock plus.
I like the nap feature which wakes me up after, for example, 20 minutes. Afair stock doesn't offer this feature.

Not sure if the stock one does this, but I left stock back on my old HTC one day when a song that starts really loud played and literally punched me out of my sleep.
It's also happened once that I accidentally clicked the "Dismiss" button instead of the Snooze one, because they were the same size.
Both of these issues are addressed by using Alarm Clock Xtreme

Have you tried it gentle alarm? It's quite awesome. They are all just apps on your phone, this is just a really good third party app.

I use my phone as my alarm clock and I'm sure plenty of other people here do the same. Do you use the default one that comes with Jellybean or is it better to get an app? If so, what app do you recommend?
Thanks,
Jon
I just use the stock one. Very reliable and I can tell Google now to set it for me.

Yea I think its just called alarm a little silver bell but I love it it even has a nice visual when it rings and you could make it play any random song and Google now can set it for u too it might be a paid app like a dollar but its worth it

You can download zedge and then find an alarm that suits you. With zedge you can choose a different file within your normal alarm app. I am using extreme clock alarm.

I uses Gentle Alarm as it fades my alarm in as oppose to blaring it out straight away
A gradual wakeup call is what I prefer
Can u post the stock alarm apk ??

I've been tempted to try use TW ROMS but I noticed the alarm doesn't have a setting to keep it from silencing itself after a while.
So I'm just wondering if anyone knows a good app that helps combat that flaw.

Hi! Which app do you belive is the best lockscreen notificaton app? I like nils very much, but even Lockepro isn't bad, love the swipe for dismiss or launch the app! Just hate that the clock won't refresh immediately XD
I like dashclock

Nice app, but for Amoled screen it's quit better..On the Nexus 4 it's a battery killer!
I'll have to test battery life without using...I just thought the battery on the Nexus 4 was underpowered. I drain about 12% an hour with normal use.

Tried to combine Knock and Dashclock but its not a goed mix...
I use Floating Notification. It's just enough and doesn't take up the whole screen. I like that I can quick reply as well.
Nils+ working great for me. I can read whole whatsapp messages, gmail, Facebook, all my notifications right on my lockscreen. Exactly what I was looking for.

Question. Can you add weather and battery status on Nils like you can do with Dashclock?
I tried Knock V2 but its not a good combo with Dashclock

I personally prefer to use Floating Notifications, with HALO enabled. HALO is basically what PA uses to display their notifications. It launches the app in a floating window, so you can access it from full-screen apps such as games. Of course, you'll have to have a rooted phone for this to work, and enable HALO in the app as well as download the Xposed framework module.
