I've seen a lot of thin cases for the HTC One but they all cover the beautiful design!! Spigens releasing a clear case for the HTC One! Anyone pre-ordered?

Its a shame that it wil cost me about 73 USD for the cover+shipping+tax for shipping to Denmark

I want this but I worry how easy this thing will scratch. Awaiting review for further decisions.

Do they take payment now or in the 1-2 weeks it's expected to ship? Gonna work out to around £25 to get one to the UK but it's definitely tempting. I'm not usually one to use cases but this looks very low-profile. I hope it fits in the car dock. Very much doubt it though.

No by the looks of pics that I've seen, the phone can only fit in the dock with no case. That's the only reason why I'm probably not going to get a case for this phone as I intend to use the dock on a regular basis.

I wonder if this is prone to turning yellow like most clear cases. Just a heads up that the crystal clear is a fingerprint magnet whereas the soft clear isn't :good:

Case looks nice. Looks like they have two choices. Frost/Soft and Hard/Clear. Almost tempted to get both.
I already have 4 cases now before the phone The Rock Thin Case in Silver and White and the Nillkin in Black and White.
This one looks even thinner. Have the case early helped me get a real feel for the phones dimensions. I really like the size of it.
I would like to have a very very thin aluminum case with the same aluminum finish. So it looks like the back of the phone. That way I can scratch it and not feel bad and keep the same look.
I think they should check their description box. They still have iPhone 5 instead of HTC.

Spigen cases are beautiful. I have an ultra capsule (soft rubber case- i dont think it is tpu) on my SGS2 which works wonderfully. The only problems i have with this case are:
a) no front lip which leaves the screen/screen protector prone to scratches when face down.
b) its a hard case which means no impact absorption
My brother had this case on his HTC One X, and when it fell on its side, the screen/digitizer cracked straight from where the charging port is (on the side for the one x) as it is an exposed area. SGP steinheil screen protectors have unmatched quality. I have had them on 5 android phones throughout my family, but i think ill be going for a cruzerlite tpu case because of their impact absorption, and just getting the steinheil protectors. I look forward to AFN's review to see if anything has changed with this particular case, but my hopes arent high. Sadly, Spigen informed me that they have no plans for an ultra capsule for the HTC One.

Picked up my N7 this morning as soon as Best Buy opened, but was a little disappointed in that I didn't find any custom cases/covers for it. I am walking around with it like it's a 1 day old infant. I know Asus is making two types of cases/covers this time around, but I can't find them anywhere to buy.

Anyone find where to get them online...or in store?

droid-life had some amazon links to a case and a screen protector, but the links were dead when I got there.
I saw a case or two listed on amazon.com when I searched for "Nexus 7 2013 case" but I have no idea how reputable the sellers are.
found some more pictures and descriptions on asus website. but I can't link yet.
I REALLY hope these cases hit the street on the 31st with no shortage of supply like the old N7.

i hope they make the blurex case again like they did for the original....the leather case that turned into a stand and had the hand strap also :good:

Amazon has them listed on the Nexus 7 product page, but the links 404 when you click them. Hopefully they put the case and screen protector up for sale soon.

I have the Portenzo Alano with Intellistand for my OG N7. The case is spectacular. It looks amazing, and I get compliments just about every time someone new sees it. The functionality is also outstanding. The Intellistand is an essential feature, and my device has never slipped out of the grips. I also travel a ton, and I just toss my Nexus into the front pocket of my backpack. My device still looks as good as new.
I would definitely be ordering one for me new Nexus (still debating) except the one drawback is that it adds a fair amount of thickness to the device. In the case, you're looking at about 2.5 times the thickness of a naked Nexus. That might not matter for most people. I have always kept my devices naked (naked N4 is sitting on the desk in front of me), though, and it's been the one thing that's kind of irked me about this case. I have no other complaints though.

I am definitely getting a Portenzo for my N7! Looks like they opened up pre-orders with a nice little discount. Although, no actual images of a new nexus 7 in a case. I imagine the cam hole will be different. They posted a pic on their FB page showing work being done to make the new case.

I was actually surprised to see the N7 in stock for how late in the day I stopped in at BestBuy. Snagged one of the last two available, no accessories for it at all.

Those Portenzo cases look like Dodocases, which are made of very high quality materials but do jack when it comes to standing up the device. How does the Portenzo keep the device up?

Case without a front cover?
For the original Nexus 7, I have a back-only case (this one, if I'm not mistaken - http://www.i-blason.com/ninja-x-style-tpu-softgel-for-google-nexus-7.html ) and I absolutely love it, because I can then treat the N7 like an oversized phone.
I've been searching, but because there isn't a clear name (Nexus 7(2013), New Nexus 7, Nexus 7 2, Nexus 7-B), I can't seem to find anything.

With the Alano case, if you get the Intellistand option, the binding edge of the frame is held by two strong magnets on the corners instead of being permanently attached. Since the cover is a flexible leather, you can pull the magnets apart, and it creates a wedge like this:

"I find this unbelievable... Received the "premium case" from gamestop today. It doesn't fit. My case is too shallow for the tablet. It keeps popping out. And these are the people who made the tablet???? God help us. No magnet either, which we knew. Case is going back..no choice"

just got mine today....love it too. Softer than the iblason case i got. Can fold the cover back without any hassle. Great just like my other blurex on my N7 from last year

I posted this in the cases thread, but figured it might be more useful here:
I picked up both the MoKo and Blurex versions of the 6 claw case. From a quick look at the pictures I would have thought they were exactly the same, just with different logos. While they are the same design, there are actually a bit different. Here is a brief comparison:
I liked the Blurex design a bit better because it was thinner and lighter plus the angle of the first tilt position was more vertical.
The Blurex is a tad thinner/smaller in most dimensions. We are just talking about 10-50mm in various areas, but when you add it all up, it just feels thinner, more compact and lighter.
MoKo felt like it offered a little more protection though you get a tiny bit of extra bulk.
MoKo is like the big brother (just 1yr older though) and Blurex is the lite version.
Blurex has the first tilt slot start right after the elastic handle ends. Moko has it start about 3/4" after the handle ends. Where I normally use the tilt feature (nightstand) the MoKo made it feel like I was looking at an angle rather than directly at the screen. I needed to move my head higher above the tablet location to get the proper angle, which was not comfortable to do in bed looking at a nightstand.
The MoKo has more precise coverage along the edges though. Blurex just leaves a little more of the edges exposed (I am talking 10-15mm difference)
The material is also different. Moko uses the soft-touch material and Blurex is the more traditional grained material. The soft-touch feels a little better, but I wouldn't trade the slightly bulkier design for the soft-touch material.
It is one of those cases where if I just looked at the two cases side-by-side I would probably choose MoKo, but after using them a little, I would choose Blurex.
The are both very good products though so this is just based on my priorities rather than something being inheritently wrong with the products.

I don't use screen protectors at all. DROID X, DROID X 2, NEXUS, galaxy s3, note 2, 2 nexus 7's and a nexus 10...never had a issue with a scratch

As the post said, they are different styles...the first has colored bumpers and the 2nd is crystal (clear) around sides which is not a choice for the first. The amazon page for each does have multiple pictures that show the different sides and color choices.

To be honest, it was such a terrible experince with Nexus 4 bumper cases.... They again started selling the bumper cases at very competitive prices, but maann.. that was such a bad peeling experience.
I remember i changed thru amazon at least 4 times.. hope they are doing better job right now.
However, I am still considering buying poetic or not for N5, but to be honest, besides that peeling problem, I have seen way better case designs so far on the forum. This is like the same as the last year N4's exact design.
With couple more bux, i might go for a better looking cases

Poetic makes cheap crap. I have their case on my Nexus 7 and after less than a year of low use it is cracking and falling apart. Absolute junk and will not be buying any Poetic products ever again.
There is a reason these things are less than $5 shipped...

Yeah I know, thats how i got my replacements. They have good customer services, no problem about that.. It was just annoying to wait for the new bumper case every single time the previous one is broken.

I'd have to agree. I had a terribly time with their "Poetic Atmosphere Case for Google Nexus 4". The rubber peeled away from the plastic on two of their cases, and had to fight them for a refund. Check out the reviews:

Thanks, I decided to go with the Spigen Ultra Hybrid though.

I agree with the above... The nexus4 poetic bumpers were terrible quality... Tho the only bumpers apart from the official lg ones out there... And tho they did give good customer service, they would take forever to actually send out the replacement cases...
I think The main reason why the case sold alot on the N4 was due to the glass back easily cracking... People wanted minimal protection while having the awesome 3D design on the back still showing... Since the N5 no longer has that shatter prone glass back, I think lots will go nude this time around... I know I will...

Ummm, it feels cheap, it covers the notification light as mentioned and it doesn't look as good as the photo's. I imagine that a similar case from a Chinese trader on eBay would cost £5 - 8

It sounds like it's on-par with the ones that came free with the Oppo Find 5, I replaced mine with a Nillkin.
As yet I'm not seeing any promising flip cases for the One, which is a worry as it should be here within the week and typically it takes several weeks to get a case shipped.

Mofi and Nillkin have released some, are these any good?

I even emailed them to ask if they'd make something like that for the 1+1 but haven't had a response.
Don't really need a flip case if there's nowhere to put cards or a bit of money, which there doesn't seem to be on those mofi cases. Plus it looks like stuff from AliExpress takes forever to arrive and even though I only got my shipping notification for the OnePlus One this morning it'd still beat the arrival of any case from there by a mile. Not really found anything that's quite right, yet - thinking about getting something like this just to tide me over:

Anybody found anything better? I'm also half thinking about jumping ship and just getting a case for the back to combine with the Rhino Shield screen protector I've already got on the way.

Just got the Mofi flip case. Not impressed. Very weary that inner half hanging case back will fall off....

Could you take a picture of the inside of the cover, please? Or just tell me - does it have card slots?

No card slots. The actual PU leather cover has a metal-like plate inserted in.

Thanks! I'm going to wait for more stuff to be released, have gone for a clear snap-on case along with my Rhino Shield to tide me over. This is mainly cos I'm going away in just over a week and no flip case I want could reach me in time. Let us know how you get on with it, there's gotta be more stuff just round the corner....

i want a flip case like the G3 where it actually replaces your back cover OPO make it happen would be the best case.

One thing that vendors should say about their flip covers is if it turns off/on the phone when we close/open it.
I don't want to pay product + shipment to finally discover that it doesn't work like that.

Bought this one for my nexus 5 and it's just perfect, hope they'll make one for the One aswell.

I'm been wanting to get this case for a while once I get the phone but I'm not sure it works for the international version?
