Ran Beanstalk, 4.3, and everything ran great...except "dead trigger" everytime, and "clash of lords" sometimes. They don't "force close" or "stop responding" though. They just blink, then back to my home screen. Went back to 4.2.2 version and now clash of lords works fine, but dead trigger closes every time. But not right away. 10 seconds in, 30 seconds in, 15 seconds in...any ideas?

Keep trying different ROMs until you find what suits your needs. The newest may not always be the best for you.

I have no problems with games optimized stock ROMs. And on all of Thddude's ROMs. That guy makes some wicked creations. Thank him when you can

First of all, thanks. Yeah I ran another ROM from Thddude, Hellybean, and had no problems. To be honest with you, the only I was trying to get Beanstalk to work is because I like being able to change the colors on my status bar info lol. I was running old faithful, aokp, I always go back to them when I have problems with others. Beanstalk came with android tweaker pro. So like a child with a new toy, I went in and checked off every tweak possible :\… just was kinda wondering if any one thing would have made my dead trigger game stop working. Guess I'm going back to Hellybean 4.2.2. It works good.

Yeah if it was all games then there would be a definite fix. But because it is just dead trigger... Its kind of hard to find the problem. The problem is probably in dead trigger though.

There are other games besides dead trigger that's not playing nice with these awesome new roms. Hopefully there's a fix for them really soon.

read description i did, it does not work, im guessing its jb was not meant to be used in software mode, thats why the launcher crashes.
I want to say that aside from the fact that it's on the DZ (which is a phone I own and use), the best thing about this thread are the advertisements on the bottom of the uploadhouse.com website.

That's not nice of you at all....
The thread proves that, unlike what a lot of people who knows little to nothing about programming say, JB can be ported to the G2 and it can boot.

yes. I just used it and was able to turn the phone on/off, pull the notification bar down, turn off/on the screen, and get to the recent apps screen. That is just about it. I didnt get any type of signal or data. and wasnt able to get to the settings from the statusbar.

I said "ASIDE FROM THE FACT". you misinterpreted.
I would have thought JB would have taken another year for anything to be on Desire Z.
I'm just learning these past 3 years and by no means unfamiliar with personal ports from other devices but took a look at doing something similar for my device for personal use and was humbled very quickly. It's the accomplishing of seemingly impossible tasks large well funded corporations don't bother tackling by one user who solves it on their free time that make me truly love open technology. Kudos. yes this is aosp based, so it support's all res/dpi.

i can very easily get ril working but there's really no point, if theres no working launcher =P.
Ok so, I loooooove CM9/10 Based roms, but they are buggy as heck and I really can't use em reliably.
So Im looking for a solid touchwiz rom that can be themed to looks as close to stock ICS/ JB as possible.
What rom & theme would you suggest?

I'm on codename android with lean kernel. Getting 4+ hours of screen time.

My list of bugs...
Google Play Music - after the track, or if I try to skip ahead, or if its interrupted by a call - I get the Music playback error. I try to restart the track and no deal. Sometimes if I close out the app completely it will start working, but overall, the app is extremely unreliable.
I've got the onscreen buttons enabled like my Galaxy nexus & my menu and back capacitive buttons off and un-lit. The back button works 5 outta 10 times. Super annoying. Sometimes Ill hit it and it doesn't respond, not until 5 or 6 tries can I get back.
When playing music it'll be really soft and so I have to turn it down and then turn it back up to get full volume.
So far that's all I can see, but I just wanna know if they are CM10, Paranoid or just settings related. Because I use the music so often - this is just killing me.
As much as I dislike TW, stock was by far the most reliable. So Im hoping to get the best of both worlds.

Cm10 nightly 10/08 is super stable for me. Haven't encountered a bug yet. I got 4+ hrs of on screen time as well.

I'm using the latest Nightlies of the original CM10 ROMs and they work beautifully.
Definitely daily drive material, depending on what you do, I can easily pull off a solid days of usage and end the day with around 35% charge.
Do you use google music?
Try playing a song, take a call and see if it continues playing after. I was told this is a CM9/10 Bug. Id love to be wrong, because this is driving me crazy.

Personally, I don't use Google Music.
Everything I use is sideloaded and played through PowerAMP.
I can imagine your frustration though, hopefully they'll work on that bug.

Quite honestly, after trying out a couple of TW Jellybean ROMS (FrostyJB, LiquidSmooth, etc) I didn't quite like the experience.
My device just wasn't as stable as I would've liked and the TW interface really didn't feel as smooth.
CM10 is my only recommendation, it works well (for me), and it's stable.

I have not long been using AOKP for very long, but i can say overall i love it, i have a few issues though.
I am aware of course it is a unofficial ROM and to expect it to run perfectly would be ridiculous and i was hoping if anybody had experienced anything similar and had any solutions?...
- My headphone jack has 100% stopped working since installing is ROM, i even reinstalled an old backup of MIUIv4 and it was working fine so it defiantly isn't the hardware.
- Black screen notifications, if i received an IM like whatsapp or even a SMS my led would light up and the screen backlight will turn on but its just a black screen?
- Fail to unlock screen first time around, now this doesn't happen all the time, maybe 30-40% of the time, but ill press the unlock button... the backlight will turn on but again its just a black screen, so i have to re-lock and unlock again and it will 100% work the second time... its kind of annoying.
Other than that the ROM works fine for me, i really don't want to lose the JB OS... is there a stable alternative maybe? or hopefully a simple fix.
By the way is based on their latest build.

thanks for that man... im gonna read a little more into but it seems like the best choice... will defiantly check it out!
UPDATE: ive given the ROM a go and i must say its a lot more stable than i thought it would be when its a "mishmash" of different ROMs put together.
i still have the headphone jack issue thought, i read a few other forums that people are experiencing using ROMs based on CM10... have you not had this issue?
Ok so I tried searching for a fix and I'm not having any luck. I recently flashed to MIJJz ICS GOODNESS ICS Rom from their previous MIJJz BLEND [v3.0][EL29] ROM. After I did that, everything works fine except that certain sounds like some notification sounds now cut off short. Also when I use google now the responses also cut out short. Like If I ask for the time for example it will say something like "the time is 4:30 p...." Or I ask the weather and it'll say "it's 70 degrees and a chance of rai..." It's like the sound gets cut off at the end. This happens every time with google now and only on certain notification sounds. Seems to be on ones I've downloaded.
I've tried to see if it's just this rom so I tried out {TEAM REJECTZ} Presentz The Universe v3.0{FI27} ROM and the same thing happens. I've tried turning off motion settings, turning off beats as the default eq, reinstalling the roms, and changing kernals. I can't figure out where the problem is? Something with ICS?
This will fix it. Don't mind that is says its only for FF18. It works through Fi27.

I've posted this issue on multiple threads and I've gotten little to no response. I understand why though--its really not a major issue, unless you really love cm roms and final fantasy games. So here's the problem, which I've ONLY encountered playing final fantasy dimensions on a cm based rom: when I enter into a random battle and I'm in the "fighting mode" of the game, the screen goes black. I can't see anything. The rest of the time everything is fine. This only happens in fighting scenes. It really sucks because I LOVE pac man rom, as well as other cm based roms, but I hate having to restore a tw backup just to be able to play that game.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? I tried toggling the "disable hw display" switch already, btw.

#1 thing to consider - clear the log (su, logcat -c), play the game until you reach that point and exit out. Dump the log (logcat -d > /sdcard/whateverfile.txt), zip it up and try posting to see if people can help figure it out.
Someone elsewhere had suggested that the notification bar in landscape is what causes this to happen. See if you can disable (or hide it) so that it doesn't try to pop up and see if that helps.
Ok. Here's something strange. When I enable the Notification Bar, I can see battles again! Does anyone have any idea what could cause this or have any ways I can fix this without the Notification Bar on? It only happens on CM based roms.
