**Solved**
Ok after many hours of reading and searching I've found out how to install the new YouTube v5 apk.
I used Root Explorer to navigated to the /system/app directory. I clicked Mount R/W, then renamed YouTube.apk to YouTube.apk.bak. Then I moved the YouTube v5 apk I had downloaded into the /system/app directory, and renamed it to YouTube.apk, then I set the permissions to rw-r--r--.
I have launched the updated YouTube and all my subscriptions showed up and I was able to watch video's.

I'm trying to install the new YouTube V5 on my S3 Running Task650's AOKP.
I downloaded the .apk from the Android Police site, when I tried to install it I get this error.
Code:
App not installed
An existing package by the same name with a
conflicting signature is already installed.
So I read around in my Roms Q&A thread and found this post.
I'm using the task650 AOKP 5/27/13 gapps 5/21/13 on my AT&T s3 phone. When I use Reddit News, I
get a youtube service invalid error tapping on a video. To fix this I thought
maybe I should try updating youtube from the play store. I deleted the youtube
app in system/apps with Solid Explorer and cleared cache. Now, when I install
youtube from the Play Store, I get error incompatible update.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

You have to wipe cache and dalvik in recovery. Then download from the play store. I had the same issue.
Hope this helps.

So I used Root Explorer to delete the YouTube.apk in /system/app. I then rebooted into recovery and cleared both the Cache and Dalvik Cache. When I rebooted I got the Kernal splash and the then boot animation, but the phone never boots, the animation just keeps going.
My phone is fine, it's not bricked, I rebooted into recovery and restored the backup I made before attempting this.
Could anyone give me some idea how to install the new YouTube V5? I'm not asking for anyone to walk me hand in hand through it, just pointing me in the direction of some threads that might help me would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

Download Android Market 3.3.12 here
If normal installation didn't work out well for you, use the method below.
Procedure to install via Root Explorer Method
1. Download the apk file from the above link to your sd card.
2. Now using Root explorer, go to /system/app
3. Mount the system to r/w.
4. Now search for Vending.apk & rename it to Vending.apk1
5. Copy the file you just downloded to /system/app & rename it to Vending.apk
6. Now press & hold the app and select Permissions
7. Select only the options given below. Now REBOOT & enjoy.....
Tried installing this on the latest MIUI build and I get the following error at the very end of the Market install process: "Application Not Installed".
Any tricks I can try? FYI, Installing as root doesn't seem to help :/
Oh, I'm the same to you
This isnt something you can just install like a regular APK. Use root explorer or something to move it to /system/apps.
Installed on MIUI 1.10.28 Desire Z.
Works very well.
Cheers
Edit:
Also it's much faster than the previous version x.x.25

Has anyone noticed that when you update an app, the notification icon disappears right after it says it was successfully installed? Or is this just on my end?

Same for me on both my SGS and Asus Transformer each on Market 3.3.12
Installed just fine as apk on MIUI 1.11.18
Thanks
where do you find those thing your working at google ??
The S3 firmware has been out for a while and it comes with lot of suprises! Like it is 1GB in total!
Another surprise is that it comes with S-Voice and Many more features! Currently, I have tested S-Voice on AOSP ROM (SGS2! DUH!)
On to the How-To guide:
Things Needed:
AOSP or CM9
APKs package from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662050 (All APPs are included so that you can play and test all of them if they work)
Patience
Process:
Just Find the voicetalk.apk and put it on your device.
Make sure Third-Party Apps are allowed to install!
Now go to that apk with a File Manager on your device.
Then just install it as a normal apk and there you go!
Congrats you have S-Voice!

It's kinda slow due to slow connection between Samsung servers but still it's Awesome!

Hum fine !
But now, you've got to edit somes files to make it works. --> Or 'Network Error'

Go in Root Explorer, open /system, edit the "build.prop".
Replace all "GT-I9200" by "GT-I9300", and "galaxys2" by "galaxys3".
Then Reboot.
After That, all Right, and let's play !

Actually Samsung has busted S-Voice for the unofficial devices other then Galaxy S3, so this actually doesn't work. To fix it replace GT-I9100 values in the build.prop file to GT-I9300 to cheat Vlingo's servers.

Try here, All credits go to MyLifeRocks10 for the link, its one where you dont need to change build prop. Also Ive found that disabling the wake up command stops the FC i was getting, and i havent had a network error since.
i think changing build.prop will cause market errors
I'm trying to set my phone back to stock for an ATT warranty exchange. I had previously rooted with Casual. I used a unrooting app, then used a couple apps to verify I didn't have root. Most apps didn't find root, but one found busybox. I looked for it, and low and behold it's there in system/bin, and protected of course, so I can't delete it. How do I delete it? TIA!

Thanks, I had tried that, but because I'm partly unrooted, I can't even get past the busybox alert screen telling me I'm (obviously) not properly rooted.

How do I do that? I am decent with technology, but have to have clear directions.
Thanks so much! You are all awesome.
Check to see what your phone says about the flash counter, in download mode. Also check if it says it's modified . I have done a warranty exchange a few times with no problems. I always went on download mode, I don't think they are going to use that specific app at the warranty place. After going threw the warranty so many times for black blobs. I'm almost curious if they just check to see if it boots stock with no issues. And gets thrown in a bin that says '' fixed''. Because I've gotten the same phone twice lol.
Anyway, Goodluck, and don't worry about it so much. It will be fine
Thanks for the help! I got it sent back and it was showing not modified when I got it back to stock.
So my saga continues, i apparently bought a "development" build of a KF 8.9 HD off Craigslist. It was broken according to him so i just reflashed it and it seems to function with one exception. I say this because my tablet id is "Jem-DVT-Eng-03" which someone said is the last engineering build. Where this guy got it i dont know.

Upon a clean flash with KFHD Restore tool i couldnt connect to google...some searching and it seemed i had to edit my hosts file. Did that, now i can sign into google and log into the Play store.
The problem is when i try to download something from the store it just sits at "Downloading...." and will never progress. I know its not my wireless, because at this same time i can search for the APK for some app on google, go download it and install it via Play Store no problem.
Im starting to wonder if there is some other file to edit, or Ip to add to my hosts file so that Play Store can download properly...ive checked and cleared my Download Manager and Downloads apps which are both running as well as many reboots and it doesnt change.
If you read my previous thread, trying cyanogenmod or any other roms with their equivilent GApps just crashes Google Play immediately when i start the download, or wont start Google Play store without crashing...atleast the stock one doesnt do that. But it wont download either...
I should also note this is ONLY for apps, videos, and games. I can stream/listen to music and read books off the market fine...which is even more confusing.
EDIT UPDATE
So i stumbled upon something that may help you guys help me. I found out that if i have items in play store stuck in "downloading...", when i turn off my kindle and turn it back on when it starts up it downloads the first item, installs it and everything works. Then the second item tries to download, and the download bar just fills up, then goes back to zero, fills up and goes back to zero. If i restart again that one app will actually download and install. So to install 4 apps i have to queue them all up and then restart my kindle 4 times...better than it was before but hopefully this gives some insight into whats happening? Also apps that require an update dont update until i restart the Kindle.
Hey guys,
New to this forum, and trying to obey the rules, but if I'm not.. please feel free to kindly slap me in the right direction!
I just installed CM11 on my Ouya using the [ROM] [NIGHTLY] [KitKat] [4.4] CyanogenMod 11.0 nightlies thread as a guide.
After getting everything up and running successfully on my Mac (it was a bit harder than doing it with my Nexus 5 for some reason!) I am now all up and running. Seems to work great with a keyboard and mouse.
I have noticed that I am having some problems though with the install - mainly using the Play Store. The play store loads correctly, but I get the following error-
Error while retreiving information from server. RPC:S-7:AEC-0

I've Googled around about this and found lots of posts to do with old phones. However, all the fixes I have tried have not worked. I even erased and re-flashed CM11 to my Ouya and the same issue occurred.
I have tried:
Force-Stopping the Google Play Store, Google Play Services and Google Services Frameworks.
Clearing the app data and caches for the above
Rebooted to recovery CMW and cleaned cache and Dalvik
If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to point me in the right direction.
**UPDATE**
I just reset everything again and installed the latest CM11 nightly on my Ouya, downloaded the latest Google Play Store APK from the web using the browser and upon signing in got a slightly different error:
App could not be downloaded due to an error. (941)

Googling this shows... the same kind of ways to fix it (deleting cache etc) but sadly this just doesn't work for me
Are you flashing gapps after the ROM?

As far as I know, I did yea... Please tell me its something that simple!
Well it could be the gapps package, the OUYA has a pretty small system partition so only the banks minimal or pa micro gapps will fit. Also it could be crappy WiFi which is really common, these things really suck when it comes to WiFi. I have to tether mine from my phone.
