Hi guys im trying to get boat browser and flash player working on my ouya but no luck am i doing something wrong or is this not possible yet. thanks
I use dolphin browser hd, and opera. Dolphin is very similar to boat. I have that working no fuss, and installed flash from xda and both work fantastically, sideloaded both before I rooted. So you don't have to root. But you should lol.

Attached is the flashplayer.apk that works on JB...should be able to install with apk manager...if that doesn't work move to /system/app and reboot...i take no credit for this as I just found it and figured I would post for all to benefit.
How do i test to see it works?
Play a flash video on internet

is anyone experiencing flash not supporting/allowing full screen? had this question asked but since I don't use JB I can't answer it...
Does this work for any JB based rom? or only for aosp roms? Id like to switch to touch wiz JB based roms from ICS. Flash is the only reason why ive stayed with ICS
Just our luck that when we need to find a video that requires flash for testing purposes, we can't find a one. LoL

There is a point to that, Flash is going away for HTML5. Though is Vimeo flash or HTML though?

Works for me on stock browser. If you need a testing site, try the YouTube.com desktop site from your device. It still uses flash for their videos. In browser hit menu/desktop. Thanks for posting this. It's also in the Android themes/apps section on XDA.

This flashplayer works but is there any way to stop the phone from going in to sleep mode while watching flash video? I never had this problem in ICS but when I switched to a JB rom now when the screen times out it goes off and kills the video rather than stay on the length of the video that is playing in flash. Thanks in advance for any help.

Been looking for this answer for months.

is this the same as the adobe flash player app? or is it a modded version of it?
It seems that I cannot get flash to work on the boat browser. Any fix available? It works fine on firefox.

Adobe stopped supporting the Android platform. That might have something to do with it.

Go to Adobe's standalone APK installer site to get an updated version of flash. Just scroll down to "Flash Player for Android 4.0 archives" and install that, restart phone and you're good to go
Tried it doesnt work.
It crashed, and exits by it self after freezing.

Same here
I have installed last updated flash player.
and when i use flash content on Boat browser it crashed.
any fix possible ?
I can confirm that flash in Boat Browser, and Boat Browser Mini, does work. I had some crashes in Boat Browser before I tried mini, and mini has been running smooth.
I followed the process in this videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_md3foVM58&feature=youtube_gdata_player.

I find that many websites don't load the flash video correctly and displays a black screen. What I do is open another tab and type in settings.adobe.com/flashplayer/mobile/
then when I go back it shows the video play button. Normally you do it once, but it doesn't save the settings. I love firefox but man boat browser has a killer bookmark manager and speed dial.
I haven't had any issues using flash in boat browser.
maybe its different if you bough the gs4

Gogoanime rocks!!
And from your video it appears you are using a hosts file to block ads?
Use the original hosts file and use Firefox with ad block edge add on. Perfect experience for flash.

agree firefox does a great job with flash. boat browser is pretty swell as well.
Hello,
i just few days ago flashed new rom, MildWild 9.5 based on redux2 and it's only one problem yet, browser can't load pages, not only stock browser, opera doesn't load pages too. Other programs which are using internet are working, for example facebook and etc. Problems is only with browser. Any solutions, please?
Thanks.
I would full wipe and install the ROM again because this is not normal.

Yes, I can agree with that. I used that ROM over a week and browsers (built-in, Opera) were working without any problems.

Just like proadi96 said, a full wipe and re-install the ROM may fix it
this is one of my favorite sites. no matter which browser I use no links will load. only the homepage. can somebody else test it for me? tried desktop, android settings etc.
Why not use the app?
But I just sent to the site and it works fine for me. Clicked on multiple stories and they all worked fine.
Stock rooted using chrome browser.

Flash is dead. Its dying out fast. More reliable coding is being used and has already been accepted my most, if not all, web browsers.

Have you installed the 'hacked' version of Adobe flash for 4.4? It's necessary to use that along with the dolphin browser

Which video? What do you mean "doesn't always work properly"? Firstly, you have to make sure that Jetpack and Adobe Flash player are sucessfully installed in your phone and the flash setting is always on. If it still doesn't work, you can an email to [email protected]. That's what I always do.
Where I can download that "hacked" version of it?
