Please read, this issue has been brought up many times already.

No success and poor progress for this.
Just decide for yourself. If HDMI is perennial important for you, then Jellybean is not an option.
Like for myself, its very rarely I used that port/feature on my Arc. So its ok if its not working at all in exchange of Jellybean based ROM and all its benefits.

There are already two ports of CM9 (with inherited problems), I might work on JB but not now.
How about porting some of the features ?

I think MIUI and AOKP ports should remain original, mixing things will neither be JB or MIUI,AOKP.

I agree but 60fps instead of 30fps would be really cool.

yeah sure, someone can try to mixup things from different roms and give it a new name.
Here we go again. People trying to port new Android versions from completely incompatible phones, hardware wise. Or worse yet, from an emulator image.
It will run like **** no matter what, so I'd rather wait for sources, thank you very much.

On Wonder will not ported Jilly Bean?
Well cm9 is being ported right now. Right now it works pretty well so why won't cm10 work? The only thing i think won't work is the camera and some other bugs

He means that better port from compiled from sources, not from another phone or emulator image.

I can see that mostly phones which have in-built ICS can get JB. Are you sure it is possible for our Wonder?
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda app-developers app
possible
hope somebody can port it successfully
I am new. I don't know how to make rom. But I wanna use Jellybean android 4.1.
Unfortunately no one has tried to port it for galaxy w. My friend using galaxy nexus got the stock jellybean by himself. And it's awesome.
So I wanna ask if anyone is trying to. Or will try to port Jellybean for SGW? Just asking. No offence

As much as I want Jelly Bean for my SGW I kinda want to have ICS a little bit more perfect first before jumping ahead plus couldn't 4.1 be based on arco68's CM9 build?
I do wish I have the skills to make 4.1 for SGW though.

Well I did try doing some coding when I was studying IT but I gave up very quickly, I guess i'm not too good with all the really technical stuff. The best I did so far was merging 2 themes together by flashing them in different orders.
Jelly Bean source code just released few days ago, it will take some time to port it to galaxy W, since JB is consider an upgrade version from ICS so I believe there is very possible to port JB to galaxy W as well, but it just need to take some time.
if really so desperate to use JB, the fastest way is to get a galaxy nexus:laugh:
lol, no offence

Developers,
Pls help me.
I got my SGW from Saudi Arabia and staying in India, now
Qust 1. How and where can I get official Gingerbread update for my SGW I8150 for India?
Qust 2. which custom Rom I can use for ICS and from where I can get it?
Note: SGW I8150 is not released officially in India yet (Does it make any sense?) and My current version is gingerbread.

1) check if you are on 2.3.6 value pack or not. If yes. I think that's all. Samsung will not give any further update for SGW.
And btw. I don't understand what you mean. You mean you bought it from another country and use it in another? Then I think you will get India's. But provably no more.
Custom ROM doesn't require your country's release date to work. It works on every SGW basically.
If you want a stable ics rom. I think Arco's cm9 suits you well. You can simply get it on xda. To be honest.

Don't forget to flash clockworkmod recovery for flashing rom. If you use stock recovery you will probably brick it.

Unofficial Cyanogenmod 10.1 for the Wildfire S
Android 4.2 Jelly bean
Once we have finished Paranoid Android 2.53, we will begin work on a port for Jelly Bean 2.
Obviously this port will only start once the cyanogenmod team has released 10.1.
Also, we will continue to support and update Paranoid Android.
Hopefully this piece of news has brightened up your day, if it has, hit that thanks button!
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me, or post below, and we can hopefully help you.
Reserved for updates on progress of the ROM!
Sweet!!! Just hope the OMX patches work out in this iteration of JB.......I would love a JB with a working video recorder

How do you plan on doing this exactly? You don't even know the differences between the two jellybean device branches.
when will you upload it any idea? i am waiting...

We need more devs like you working on cm10.1. My main want is a full stable CM9 for wildfire s. I develop roms myself so I was going to ask if I could help.
Mobile Data
Is the mobile data problem resolve with this future rom?
**Update**
We haven't built it, we haven't started it. We didn't specify a time range, or what will be in it. We merely said we would be porting android 4.2

I've only seen Cyanogen and AOKP mods in this forum, how about something special?
Other than Cyanogen Mod and AOKP Mod, how about LiquidSmooth, Android Paranoid and Xylon mod for Sony Xperia ZL?

The problem is the very limited availability of the ZL across countries. I really dont understand this move by Sony. Shouldn't they be releasing both the Z and the ZL in every possible place to increase sales? That and a steamrolling ad campaign is how Samsung has managed to be more ubiquitous than Apple. Now they have dedicated places in Best Buys!! Sony is either plain stupid, or just plain stupid
I have PAC ROM working on my Zl 6506. I need to test and will possibly release soon.

This is my first Sony phone. I need to make sure I totally test before even thinking of releasing. It's going to have the same bugs as CM. So no camera yet.
Is this the part where you offer your services as a beta tester?

I would say never, but who knows.
Maybe you didn´t notice but Arco is stopping developing ROMs for this device and I´m not sure there will be someone continuing his work. Beside this this device is already pretty mature with not that strong CPU and not that much ram newer Anroid operating systems will require to work smooth and stable.
Tomorrow.

nearly impossible i said...we don't have a dev like sir arco who can manage and expert on custom ROM (actually CM)

Yeah, without sir arco it will be nearly impossible, i agree with that. We'd need a developer that would continue his job.
IMHO it does not really matter on how outdated the harware is. Software can always be optimized on any hardware, but has to have one devoted developer. Space Shuttle computers hardware in the past were not as heavy as nowadays, but still did their job because of software developed for that specific hardware. I think that's why it is possible to have Jelly Bean on devices like the Galaxy Mini. I've seen one working. Seemed to work flawlessy.
So hope never dies....
