I think my favorite next to CM would be Xenon. That ROM is pretty cool. Stock ROMs are also cool as well.

Well guys, I know there isn't a lot of stable JB roms out there.
But based on YOUR opinion and experience which ones are the best? It could be AOSP.
Actually most of them I've tried have been pretty stable. I'm on paradroid right now and everything is smooth.

Read those threads and see what people post the most of. Being spoon fed is shunned here. It only takes about 5 minutes to skim through the last 5 pages and get an idea of the ROM.

Btw, I couldn't install PA.

4+ hours of screen time with lean kernel
I personally have been using Deviant Dev FrostyJB_4.1.1-v6. It is really fast but not has fast as Wicked ICS v7 Rom. But I just love the Frosty Jelly bean the only problem I am having now is that whenever I restart my phone it switches the default keyboard back to stock and not swiftkey 3.
i've been jumping around from CM10 nightlies, PA 2.23/2.51/2.52, and Liquid Smooth RC7... trying to find a good battery.
out of the 3, i like CM10 the most, so i'll probably go back to CM10 nightlies, if not CM10 M2.
My fav have been so far Frostys and Paranoid Android, Im currently using the Sprint Jellybean release which seems to be to basic compared to those mentioned.
Latest cm10 nightly for me

My suggestion would be root it and then get flash happy for a couple of days, until you come across the one that best suits your needs. There are many options and everyone has there own preference. I prefer PACman myself.

This is a great answer because in the big picture of learning what to do so you can help yourself in case of any problems in the future this is the right answer.

Rooting is for those of us who like to mess with our phones. Too root your phone and then throw stock back on it in some cases makes no sense. If you are happy with your phone then dont touch it.
Everyone's rooting experience is different so asking others will only give you some false info and some true info. Again only way to find out is to do it for yourself. Go into development and read up on the roms and see which one makes you go damn this looks nice and flash it
You cant recommend jedi jelly to a noob...it still has a few issues to be worked out. But i do suggest rooting and flashing roms. And asking whats the best/most stable rom you're going to get alot of diffrrent answers. Just try them for yourself.

You have to try both and decide by yourself. The reason for different ROMS is not that one is better than the other. It's a matter of which one works for you and your phone. You will not get a definitively answer here. Don't be affraid and try them.
I used to be a big CM fan, but once I started using AOKP, I ditched CM (even thought it still has a place in my heart)
I did a clean flash wiped phone and all cache and got the boot animation screen for a very long time. Couldn't wait as I am at work so I went back to Mr_1... Any advice?

The CM has a couple of things aokp doesn't have an vise-versa. Cm10.1 still has the old status bar toggles with quick settings and aokp doesn't. Cm10.1 also has the slider shortcuts as well

CleanROM if you want a very minimized but very fast/smooth and stable stock experience.
SkyNote for a fast/smooth experience while having lots of customization options (clock, notification bar transparency, hold back to kill, etc.) Jedi Rom is also great for customization as well.
jedi, clean, skynote, one of the miui, novella, ultimate, amospherium, hawkish, clearn rom SE, the list goes on and on when it comes to touchwiz based roms..there are even more than the ones I listed..
Ive actually heard of those but I havent flashed all of them. Im actuay hopeing to find a touch wiz rom that has a good bit of customizing

Perseus is definitely the kernel for you if you like all its features. I do not believe there is an AOSP kernel that has all the features but the SOAPkernel which is found here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2186037 is a decent kernel for the AOSP roms. It is an OC kernel and made by the same developer that made all the JEDI roms and Saber kernel.
Hope it helps, but I would stick with the TW roms, Battery life is better too.

I co-sign this. Battery life using Beanstalk plus Devil kernel compares to no other ROM I've personally used. Easily 24hrs with 6-7 hrs screen time. Using Viper for sound and it sounds amazing.
Thanks guys......I'll start checking out the kernels Where do you get viper sound?
I'm actually running illusion ROM right now. I'm trying to like the aosp ROMs but the h+ icons bother me, not having audio tweaks in my kernel bothers me, I like the Samsung keyboard and I can deal with not having multi window because I have halo.
