I am potentially purchasing a Koodo locked S3 (SGH-I747M) and want to unlock it and put in my Rogers LTE SIM card. Will this work, and will I have LTE connection?
Does anyone know if these are IDENTICAL phones with the exception of the stock ROM/bloatware and carrier lock?
Lastly, will this Koodo SGH-I747M be able to run most any CM rom? My S2-LTE is awesome on CM10.1.2 and I want a similar rom on this S3 if possible.

Hi I have i747m (rogers version, canadian) that I have unlocked.
Currently, I am using it with straight talk service (at&t//t-mobile)
However, I get really ****ty 4g service and I feel like maybe this is because of the modem that is currently in place (i guess it would be rogers modem)
Would it get better network service if I change the modem? should I just flash modem from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831898 ?

I thought it was a n-7100 and I installed a N-7100 ROM. It finds no mobile network and doesn't recognize my SIM CARD.
I think I have a SGH-I317M finally, so in what forum should I download a ROM? And will the modem be compatible with my region?

I'm pretty sure the stock Bell rom and firmware hasn't be posted anywhere yet, but at least if you flash one of the AT&T roms it should get your radio working again. http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1874
I just got the phone, I do not have at&t service and need to unlock this one, It's running ver 4.1.2
Can someone tell me if they have found a way to unlock this thing, I have tried some, but final option

I have a 2nd hand S3 i747m with ver 4.1.2 on it. It is unbranded, rooted and has TWRP on it as well. How can I tell which ver. it is? Or does it even matter when flashing roms? Trying hard not to screw it up ?.

I bought an unlocked AT&T i747 in the U.S. and gave it to my sister in Germany, where she uses it on the O2 network. It's still on the 4.1.x AT&T stock ROM, and I want to upgrade it to 4.3, but have a few question for you S III experts:
1) Should I use the official AT&T MJB ROM, or one of the Rogers/Bell/Telus MK5 ROMs? (keep in mind that I need none of the carrier specific stuff, I just want the best 4.3 stock ROM for the i747)
2) It is unclear to me what difference the new 4.3 bootloader makes. Do I need o flash it, or am I better off leaving the bootloader unchanged? I understand one cannot go back once on the 4.3 bootloader, but I don't understand what advantages the new bootloader brings.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. I am still in Germany for a few days before returning to the U.S., and would love to perform the upgrade while I'm here.
Also, battery life is of utmost importance, so if upgrading to 4.3 is known to have any negative impact in this regard, please let me know.
