I rooted using Framaroot and flashed Garwynn's+ agats recovery using mobile odin.

Fellow Virgin Mobile user here
As for my rom i'm still on stock TouchWiz although i do have Agat's Recovery installed. I'm looking around and trying to compare which ROM to flash, and so far i'm leaning towards ReVolt, or i might try and give the official CM 10.1 nightlies a go

I tried that one a few months ago and had GPS issues.
So far for me the most reliable custom ROM has been Dastin's WFTN and the official CM10.1 releases, though YMMV.
Even then I wound up flashing back to stock TouchWiz because of data speeds being faster on TouchWiz/GB28 than on any CM10/ICS or Gingerbread modem I tried.
Plus there were graphics corruption issues with GPS Test+ on every custom ROM I tried.
I seem to recall reading somewhere that it has to do with Mali driver issues, but I'm really not certain why.
As far as Virgin Mobile goes, I've been with them for 4 years come January and I'm not going to make it 5.
Locally, Sprint's network is crap and now that I have a real smartphone instead of a glorified music player like the Intercept, the connection problems are too glaring to overlook.
Come next January I'll probably have a used E4GT for sale cheap.

I'm using the EG30 modem with Dirty Unicorns and my data speeds are a little better then when I was on GB28.

The speeds that I get from speedtest on non-JB modems are very close to the GB28 modem, but not quite as fast under ideal conditions.
This part I understand as the EvDO version connected to under 'About Phone>Status. is A:6 on all of the non-JB modems while it says A:7 or A:8 on GB28.
I could live with that, but the other speed issue is that no matter which modem I've tried, I get a pause during testing speeds about a quarter of the way through the DL test that looks like Mount Everest on the DL graph.
I have no idea if it's something unique to my phone, a glitch in CM, or something to do with Sprint's ****ty local network buildout, but it's easily reproducible on several different custom ROM/modem combinations.
But as I said in my first post, Your Mileage May Vary™.

Running cm10.2 on my titanium s2. Anyone have a link to that cm9 VM MMS fix?

I'm currently running Carbon Rom. I was on the official CM 10.1 nightlies until they were not longer nightly...more sporadic and if-y. So, I switched.

The first post in a ROM's thread is called the Original Post, or OP. Every rom OP has detailed instructions on how to install, or flash that particular ROM. Good luck, and just make sure you are flashing e4gt roms only, and since I see you are on VM, after you flash, Google how to change the mmsc url so you can send mms. Enjoy!

[Modem/Baseband] T-MobileGS3 UVLI3 Flashable Radio

ONLY FLASH RADIOS IF YOU ARE ON A
T-MOBILE NETWORK!!!!!
YOU MAY REGRET IT IF YOU DO NOT HEED THIS WARNING!!!!!
CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!!!!
DISCLAIMER:
Flashing radios on your phone should not be done if you do not understand what the modem/radio is! Yes, it is a simple flash, BUT, if you do mess it up somehow, it can at best prevent you from obtaining a signal, and at worst possibly brick your device!!! IF YOU ARE NOT ON T-MOBILE, DO NOT FLASH!!!! If you have a different device (T999V) or are with a different carrier (such as Sprint, Wind, etc) T-Mobile radios will NOT work!
I have tested this on my own device with no issues, however, you flash at your own risk!
T-Mobile GS3 Modem/Radio
Baseband = UVLI3
This is the radio which came with the unofficial JB update/leak UVDLI3, released Sept. 5, 2012.
Download and flash this from TWRP or CWM Recovery
TMobileGS3-UVLI3-Modem.zip
Note: Flashing the above file will backup your current radio. HOWEVER, If you flash it again, it will overwrite the backup.
To restore this backup, flash the file below.
Download and flash this from TWRP or CWM Recovery
TMOGalaxyS3RestoreModem.zip
The above file will flash the backup created by the first. It is the same as provided by Wildchld with previous releases, so again thanks and credit to him!
(I didn't see any reason to reinvent the wheel!)
Note: As stated previously by Wildchld, the Modem Restore zip file should be placed somewhere on your INTERNAL sdcard, else it may not see the modem.backup file.
Up to this point Wildchld has provided us with pretty much all our modem needs, so as always, thanks to him!
Being that his flashable radios have worked so well for everyone, I have basically just used one of his previous updates to create this one. I simply replaced the old radio with the new, and edited the script to match. This will work (backup and all) the same as previous releases.
All credit for the work goes to Wildchld so please thank him when you see him!
Also credit to mercado79 for the updater-script as stated by Wild in his thread.
The T-Mobile Modem Flasher by clark44 should be updated with this modem later. Be on the lookout! It is an excellent way to test each modem for best performance in your area and on your phone!

I am. On WiFi so really can't tell a difference right now. Pulling the same numbers though.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Damn, these radios/leaks are coming out faster than I can flash!
They must be making good progress on touchwiz jellybean though! I'm very excited for that!
First of all thanks for all these, but only request is to please include MD5 with the radios.

Peoria, and yes I was getting about 25 down right out of the box on touchwiz. But as far as CM10 is concerned, these speeds are pretty decent.

I still think there is funny business with CM10 and the Speedtest.net app though. I just tethered from my S3 to my iPad2 and then ran the Speedtest.net iOS app. I got 23down and 3.4up.

Bizarre! Link won't work on my phone, but first click works on my desk top.
I had to click the link 2 times from my phone in order to get to the actual download site.
I've never had good reception at my girlfriends apartment, but on UVLI2 I pulled two bars and a 3.5mbps down, and .5mbps up. Which honestly, is damn good for here! I'm used to ZERO bars and having to walk around to get any type of data through.
On UVLI3 I have two bars and 3mbps down and .6mbps up.
So, no improvement to report. At my place I regularly pull 20mbps down and 2.5-3mbps up. I'll run another test when I'm at home and report back.
No improvement for me here in Houston, TX
LI1 is still the best modem for me.

Flashed with no issues, thank you

CNA Rom

Not sure if many people were aware or not but Codename put out a ROM for our Sprint version. It's up on GOO and also if you just google Codename Android, his site will come up. Not sure why he didn't open a thread on here.
I ran his Roms on the Nexus and it was awesome, lots of customizations. It's more like AOKP as far as options as opposed to CM.
Edit: DO NOT FLASH YET, ISSUES BEING WORKED OUT.

[Q] Questions about Telus 4G Samsung Galaxy S II™ X..

Hi all,
I'm going to buy a Telus 4G Samsung Galaxy S II™ X, However, I have some question:
1. Can I unlock the bootloader and install any ROM?
2. What is the latest official firmware? Is Samsung going to issue a JB?
3. How is the battery life?
4. Any advice
Thank you in advance
1. Yes
2. Telus has released 4.0.3 I believe. JB is supposed to be official for this phone.
3. It's ok, maybe gets through the work day, depending on usage.
4. If you do flash a ROM make sure it's for the t989 and not the international s2.
Enjoy.

Thank you very much.
Only thing I have to add is that the Koodo ROM floating around here doesn't work well with Telus as it has the Koodo AP baked into it by default. I'm loving CM 10.0.0 on this phone.

I'm on Telus and the Koodo ROM is amazing. You just have to manually add the APN (settings are listed in the thread).
CM10 is great too but TW ROMs have better call quality and battery life in my experience.
With Koodo V5 I typically do 2-2.5 hours of screen time, 1 hour of voice calling daily and I'm still over 20% when I plug it in at night.
the official android release is 4.0.4 now thats what I had when I purchased my SGH-T989D from Koodo. Telus and Koodo are practically the same I think?

You keep saying this(well, maybe not you, but I've seen this several times from posts with i727 in the signature), but are you posting from the phone you installed this on? Going through the link in the OP, but I have a couple of questions:
I see the busybox which I need to install, but what about the insecure kernel? I see there is a kernel posted in that link but for the Skyrocket, I have a few different radios so do I just flash the posted kernel, then go back and flash the Blaze radio afterwards?

Be very careful with this!! Until it is developed further I would NOT mess with this if you are a noob. Do not try using any kernels other than the two in the op. It would be very easy to brick with this NO JOKE.

Few questions about wife's sph-710

I have a few quick questions on this device, I personally deal strictly with htc devices but my wife loves this phone.
Ok a little background.
The phone has been flashed to boost. And is on stock Sprint gb27 jb, unrooted.
Where is a good thread to get this rooted? and after the recovery gets installed being it's flashed to boost anything I should not flash? Thanks guys

Check out rwilcows repository it contains everything you will need to flash.
If you flash from Odin the rooted same build you won't need to factory reset.

Dont take this wrong way but u sound a little confused
But don't worry. I think u need to search for one click odin on here and also search on YouTube for Qbking77.Read op=opening page. Read until u fully understand unless u want your phone to be useless.

Not taken wrong at all. I've actually been modding phones since the g1 dream days and still very active on the HTC one xl forum just havent messed with a Samsung since the boost galaxy prevail. And the read fully part you mentioned... Read some of my posts from the one xl q n a forum.. I just wanted a push in the right direction. Main concern is the rom install. Will it mess with anything that's been flashed to convert to boost? Prl?

Here's qbking's video on how to root on jb:
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Rnk617FffXY&desktop_uri=/watch?v=Rnk617FffXY
And here's everything you need from rwilco12:
http://www.rwilco12.com/Files/Devic...Sprint) (SPH-D710)/Tutorials/SPHD710-Root.php
Just make sure you read, read, read. And your prl, being on Boost, will not change. And as long as you have a jb modem(gb27, gb28, or gc01), you'll have data. But if you flash a Sprint rom you'll have to research how to change mmsc in order to send mms. To avoid that, if your wife wants stock, flash a GC01(Boost) rom after you root. Here's mine, deodexed, debloated, and since it's stock, you can build it up to your wife's liking. Good luck, happy flashing:thumbup:

By the way, if you flashed the phone to Boost you're better off just keeping a stock Boost ROM handy.
That way you're not having to mod the MMS settings to get it to work right.
From there you can pick up a custom kernel/recovery and flash away.
(I personally recommend mine but there are others to choose from...)
Welcome and enjoy!

Garywnn is a very busy man, so I'll help him out. Here's the link to his rom:

His is purely stock, smooth as glass.
Here's my build, deodexed and debloated, stock, if you want variety:
