AT&T G Pro work on Uk tmobile - LG Optimus G Pro

I'm looking to buy an unlocked AT&t LG Optimus G Pro E980 to use in the uk. Will this work I think it takes a nano sim? Would I need to do anything else? I don't want to be lumbered with a phone which I can't use! Your help would've much appreciated.

I'm not sure about the atℓt version but if it helps I bought the Korean f240l version which I'm using with my t mobile UK sim without any issues at all

Not sure if there's a difference between Micro and Nano, but E980 takes a Micro SIM-just checked under the battery tray to be sure.

Yeah. mine takes micro sim, I forgot to say that sorry

ALL of the Optimus G pro`s Take the Microsim rarely any phones besides the iPhone 5 take a nano sim so far.

That's good but if someone could confirm if it will work in the UK on T-Mobile.

didn't get it in the end bought unlocked Korean version LG F240 32gb and cheaper. I hope its better, what's the difference if any?

yes. At&t and rogers use all the same wireless frequencies (afaik) so as long as you unlock, you'll be good. I've had issues before though with GPS on phones from not my carrier. My old Milestone kept trying to reach telus servers for gps info. However, I was able to mitigate that by changing some files in the root folders. However I don't think that will be an issue with this phone - I'm currently using an at&t rom on my rogers phone and everything is super.
For me sometimes the onscreen keyboard doesn't show up when I need to type up something but it occurs to me when I slide open the actual physical keyboard and close it

How much did you guys pay for it? Does it also come with 32gb? I've read somewhere that the Hong Kong version of the G Pro only has 16gb internal storage.

F240K/S 32GB ram, LTE1800 only
E988 16GB ram, LTE1800/2600
Is there a 32gb version of E988 out already?

It is a global phone. Just need to get a SIM card from over there to pop in. Sure there are others that can go more in depth but in a nutshell the answer is yes

Yes. Just used it there for 3 weeks. Drop into a Carphone Warehouse and get a 3 SIM card. Unlimited data, calls and text (within the UK, of course) for £15.

The Verizon Wireless HTC One is a true world phone, with quad-band EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), dual-band EV-DO Rev. A (850/1900 MHz), dual-band UMTS (1900/2100 MHz), and LTE support; it runs at 4G speeds here in the U.S. and 3G speeds overseas in most countries.

It's only missing Band 5, both models have bands 4, 2, and 17, which are the primary US LTE bands anyway (outside of Verizon's Band 13 that is).
While technically the T-Mobile version is missing Band 30, the AT&T version is missing Band 30 as well.

The T-Mobile one hasn't been rooted yet, though it apparently has an unlocked bootloader. The AT&T model has been rooted, but it appears the bootloader is locked down. Doesn't that suck?

That it does but due to my wedding in three weeks followed by an expensive honeymoon, I lack the funds to purchase an unlocked one from anywhere other than BestBuy currently.
