Hello,
I'm having problem with my 3g setting with this Rom. I programmed my e4gt to pageplus.
I re-flashed stock Rom and 3g worked again.
Also I am unable to get diag mode activated regardless of the Rom (usb mass storage works, also I've tried other pc)...
Other than that, everything is running great. 4G/wifi/Bluetooth works perfectly and CM10.1 runs fast and smooth.
Thanks you guys for any help I can get <3

So yeah I got my epic touch on boost and I'm totally ready to flash my phone over to ics but I'm worried that after I do I wont be able to correct my apn settings, cause from what I've heard you can't change them after the update, so is there a way around this yet that anyone knows of ?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I believe that's only if you flash an AOSP rom, so as long as you use a touchwiz based rom you'll be fine.

So you can just manually edit them ?

You can manually edit the apn by going using root explorer or similar and go to system>etc> and edit the apns-conf.xml to the correct settings.

Yes, it works on JB. I tried it on stock, rooted lj7 and it worked fine with no issues at all. I didn't change any settings in it. Just turned it on, gave it root access and it worked.

How many people are actually using wifi tethering illegally, all the time? The threads and posts have been popping up all the time..

I've used it less than a dozen times in the past 2 years for a total of less than 30 minutes. Mostly to send email when my email server would not allow access from an unsecure free wifi hotspot. I have seen others brag about using it in place of home internet. Some even brag about using it for gigabytes of bandwidth monthly.

I use it as my only Internet "provider". So 5gb to 10gb just tethering.

Worked beautifully for me. I'm on Jellyglazed LJ7. I selected cdma Nexus in profile and left disable wake lock checked. I'm typing this from my tethered Asus Prime!

It works on Wicked, but only unecrypted. When encryption is enabled, devices can't connect.

Same here. Last month I hit 50gb. With 4g, streaming HD movies is no issues. That's why I haven't updated to JB yet.
Anybody got it working on jellybomb 7.0?

Idk why but WiFi tether for rooted users isn't working for me. Other devices can't pick up the signal. It doesn't even show up. I'm rooted and everything. I tried all the different settings.
Generic ICS/JB wlan0 is the one most of us are using.

Mine hasn't worked for a while either so I gave up. It used to work fine right when I unlocked and rooted, but then after a few weeks it stopped working as you described. I've uninstalled, installed, tried all the settings, wiped cache and dalvic, basically everything short of completely wiping the phone and starting over.

Thank you SO much for this. I was having the same problems as everyone else, I changed profile and BAM!!, instantly showed up on my tablet.
For unrooted phones I believe the clockworkmod tether works

Thanks,
I did see that one and it would work for my laptop, but I really want something to hook up my tablet with.
Just bought LG OG, rooted it with v9. Can't get wifi tethering to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tried the Generic ICS/JB (wlan0) and it was a no go. Not unlocked though.

Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2
I was on domination then full wipe to illusion..... Every ROM on 4.2 I've been on I've had to put in my sprint APN settings through a different messaging app in order to get MMS to stick

But data/ internet seems to work. Stays in data roaming most of the time. Was on swamp monster and stock. Sprint couldn't fix it either. All of a sudden it started doing this. I also have a second note2 with SwampMonster and that phone works great. Also have a s3 on wicked sensations that works great as well.
Any ideas?

Are you in an area where Sprint is currently upgrading their towers/service? That has been known to cause issues.

Best advice would be to find one of the signal checker apps in the play store and see what signal strength you're getting. If it's weak you know the problem is with Sprint. If it's strong then you would need to look deeper into your phone/ROM/firmware etc.
