Is there a way to remove the navbar but keep the status bar without using custom ROM or apps? Such as edit in build.prop?

GMD Softkey Hide.
These guys do good work. HOWEVER I myself would highly reccomend a custom rom if this matters to you. It's something that drives me nuts, and its just so well integrated into paranoid android. But this will do the trick for ya.

Oh i missed the "or apps" sorry, but may want to give it a try anyways.
Yeah I don't really like GMD...too much bloat!

You can recompile the framework.apk to get rid of the soft buttons on a stock rom.

How would I do that ?

It has to be from the ROM. So check with which rom you are running to see if they have that included.
I don't believe any do ATM but they will soon

As of now, you can't, if you really wanted to have that function go to AOKP

If you have prior knowledge of using apk tool and editing xml's it's pretty easy. But if not, just wait for a rom or mod for the rom you're running or go back to ics. Look in the theme section.
good day.
It has a "security upgrade" that will disable it working on rooted devices.
I had a. backup so I deleted and restoted. Back in business.

Care to share the Rom your using it on?
I'm still not sure why I don't ever get any notification of an upgrade. It must be the hack version that I did, the one where you revert your build.prop back.

Mine would not either until I ran the fix in kitchen 6. Now it works OK.
But this (v6) is being pulled over concerns of hard-bricking. The OP of that thread did give a link for the mod however.

The app doesn't cause the hard brick. The lazyness of people not reverting their build.prop back to stock is what causes the hard bricks.

The only reason for that is because you have a galaxy nexus not a s3. The only ones for that to be true would be that your using a sprint or international sg3 the tmobile sg3 can not download the google walletc from market

That's only if you use Mobile Odin. If you don't then it's okay.
Dude changing the phones name in my build. Prop won't brick my phone... I've never had issues.... And if I change it back to stock, I'll get an incompatible device and force close

I don't think that's what he said or what he meant. There is a real danger for those who mod their build.prop (for whatever reason, not just the GW hack) and then use mobile Odin to flash something without changing it back to their defualt. Do this and you will get a brick, it has happened to a few.

On the S4 the stock TW launcher has the option to "Hide" apps in the app drawer, but it doesn't seem to be there on this one. Is this a tmobile thing or a 4.3 thing? And is there a way to get it back? I like that feature because I still want an app installed (ad blocker) but I dont want to see it in my app drawer. Thanks.

There's a disable option from the menu within the app drawer.

You can download a 4.3 ROM extract the keyboard and push it to system but I don't think this will give us system wide color emoji.. I'm trying to locate the file that is responsible for the color but haven't had luck
