Hi,
In case it helps, I have an up-to-date Galaxy Note 2 ROM list kept here, which includes the Sprint model.
Someone was asking for a list in the AT&T section, so I thought I'd post this info in each section to tell people.
It's kind of a hobby, but it's kept up-to-date pretty much every day.
Some of you might find it useful.
I had been looking for this being sometimes ROMS you never know about get flooded out. This is CLEAN
Was wondering if u could add the dates they were released. I seen Clean Rom & was about to jump in then realized its no longer supported. Gonna try that JB 12 release I didnt realize was updated from 11.damn
No biggie if u cant put date,u did alot already. Just a suggestion
Good lookning out either way!!
Cool. Yea a date would be nice...

@OP, May I suggest adding the USCC variant to your page. Only support we get is from NA7Q and teamuscellular. Alot of us troll over here and it would be nice to see an all in one page. This would definately help

Adding a date is a good idea. It's a little cramped for space, depending on the length of the rom name. That's why I use the red dot which shows that the rom has been updated or modified in the last 7 days.
The list is checked and updated every day. The red dot, might be a couple of days out from time to time.
Thx great

I just checked it out. That works! Made it easier to look thru and see which ROMS are the latest
Thanks!
I want to echo some of the comments above. Very surprised that the ROMs are so up to date. Knowledge is power. Thank you for your efforts sir.
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Hi,
It came to my attention that I'd forgotten to add a few roms from the `Original Android Development' sections for the different carriers.
Sorry about that. Those roms have now been added.
I seem to be locked out from posting this on the Whompasaurus thread. I may not have enough posts to put it there yet?
Does this ROM have OTA updates? I always seem to miss the updates as they roll out and I want to make sure I get each one. This morning I had a samsung prompt asking me to update. I think if I was running the current Whomp version this wouldn't happen. Now I'm struggling to download the most UTD version on a sad hotel wifi connection! I'm a sad cookie this morning
If I can get OTA updates, how do I set that up? Or is there any other way to stay up to date on new versions? Other than stalking the XDA thread? I can never seem to work that into my daily or weekly schedule.
Thanks for any help!

They will update to the new update when they have the time .... most custom roms dont really do a ota add your thinking .... Some mostly on htc side did something similar but not a true ota ... you can't post in dev until you get 10 post ...

Thanks everyone! I figured out how to subscribe to the Developer rom thread so I should get email alerts of a new version. Hopefully...
Finally have the new version installed and that annoying update prompt hasn't come back. I'm a happy camper

I always just skim through the Development Threads and watch the dates. OTA messages on some ROMs don't always show everything.
Should check the thread and get a feeler. Kind of like how 4.0 was a little rushed, so then the 4.2 revision came out shortly after. Sucks to wait a while on bad hotel WiFi only to find out you have to download a new version right after. Lol.
Thanks! Maybe I'll set a weekly alarm to check the thread... LOL I need reminders for everything. Good thing I have a smart phone!

Lol. When it's slow at work, I skim every Note II Forum. Always new stuff showing up.
I used to be able to do that... Then I got moved into a new position and am still trying to learn what I'm supposed to do while doing what needs to be done yesterday. So glad I'm on vacation now! LOL

I have more ROM questions and still don't have enough posts to ask the developers....
The call screen while I'm on a phone call, if I bring up the number pad the call options don't minimize. So they are in the way of the numbers. So instead of being able to press zero I would hit mute. Is there any way to fix this?
The call log screen has the first line of info hidden by a top bar. Any way to fix this? I think it might be because I chose the option of adding soft keys at the bottom of the screen (home, back, and Windows)
On the camera app (not the jelly bean camera app) the button to take a picture is half hidden with a bar so it's very difficult to take a pic an the first press.
I've done wipes and have reflashed the ROMS twice so I don't think it's an install issue. Can anyone offer any advice?

Need to wait.. No invitations out yet
Those who have received invitation, they are lucky . For rest of others ,we have to wait till august for beta released. They have promised to release beta link for all registered user ,but no more alpha tester .They will start sending link from 25th for alpha tester .

Likewise ...
Register before 27th, wait till August
We need to wait till August now. Here is the official statement.
The interest towards Jolla launcher Community Alpha testing has been much higher than we anticipated, and the number of people that signed up have exceeded by far the number of alpha testers that we can handle now. We thank you for the great interest, and we will start to enable download links to first few hundred alpha testers tomorrow.
As the demand was so much higher than what we can sufficiently handle now, we have decided the following:
We will continue with Beta testing on August, and all the people that have been signed up so far will be able to join at Beta testing phase.
Registration will be open until 27th of June like we said, but in practice you can now register yourself for Beta testing phase that starts on August.
We are sorry for the inconvenience for those that can not fit in now, but our aim is to deliver the Launcher to all of you as fast as we can with the current resources that we have.
Can anyone give play store link?

Thanks.. Downloaded from the last page of thread. Works great and has everything from pulley menu to ambience to lockscreen. And note it doesn't work on art.
I don't know if it is right if I post the link to download here. Can anyone confirm this?
Since the app section is dead for now, I thought I would post it here.
Anyone else getting the "Your device is not compatible with this version?" warning?
I don't use it too too often, but when I do, its linked to my starbucks account and gift card $$.
I assume they'll fix it eventually, anyone know of a workaround?
Yes, same message. And i just loaded money on my card! I hope they update the app soon.

I found a work around! I sideloaded from my previous phone and it works. I'm not sure how to upload it otherwise I would.
Pull the apk from the Note 3 or have someone you trust hook you up -- @shanda5303 is correct, I tested it.
Starbucks.apk 2.7.1
Office mobile isn't compatible either.. [emoji22]

Thanks for the heads up!!!
It's not the device is rejecting it. The "creators" have to add compatibility for the screen / device for it to work.
I received a response from Starbucks support that states the team is aware and to be on the lookout for a future update.
" I’m very sorry for the inconvenience you’re having with the Starbucks Mobile App not working on the Note 4. Our digital team is aware of this matter and is currently working on getting this resolved. Please look forward to the next Starbucks Mobile App update for Android phones."

I wanted to request any of the developers for our phone to port over a ROM made by soloilmeglio for the international variant of Note 4. The ROM is called X-Note and can be found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/rom-x-note-build-1-0-nj4-t2935625.
The developer (soloilmeglio) seems to be well regarded and it looks like the ROM has been crammed with a ton of features. It would be nice if we could get it for our phone also.
You are probably better off contacting the developer and working with him to test and see if he would port it over. Good luck, looks like a great rom.

Yea I suppose if nobody steps up I'll take a shot at it myself. I'm not a developer but I did some research online and various guides teach that you need to replace about 3 folders in the system directory to port a ROM.
I was just hoping that one of the devs would at least acknowledge this thread and take my request into consideration....

I'd also be willing to test. I've never developed before, but I've been flashing for about 3 years now, so I'm moderate experience in testing.
To op if it the same principal as the note 2 which it probably is the international version is pretty hard to port att is the easiest.I'm still debating on the note or nexus 6 if I get the note I will help out some.

I read a few people from the T-mobile phone discussing porting in the thread. I had the note 2 before this phone but don't remember such a discussion. Would you mind linking a thread where people talk about difficulties porting an international version ROM?

Just wanted to update you that i am working on this. I have it booting and everything is working with a couple of workarounds. I had to import the apn file from our stock rom to get lte and data working right. I am trying to fix the prl and profile update. I also have hangouts crashing whic i am working on. I reached out to the developer of the rom because i want his permission before i post it.

Awesome! Thanks!
I'm actually not going to post it yet. I spoke to the developer and we are going to bring it to sprint hopefully next week. If it doesn't happen I will post what I have so far. Profile and prl update don't work. LTE and data work but you have to bring APN from old ROM. Was never able to send MMS, not sure about receiving.

Wow. Thank you so much. I had given up any hope that a developer would take this up. I was going to take a shot at it myself but I was wary about the kinds of issues you mention and wouldn't have any idea on how to deal with them.

If all you want right now is the Sprint system update then I can do that as long as you have the original dev's permission to port and post it in our Sprint forum. If you already have data working then upload it to AFH or similar an PM me a link. But if im not mistaken, international phones lack a lot (if not all) of the necessary code/files necessary that reside in settings, jars & framework. Ill know right away if i peek inside just one file. If it lacks the necessary code/files then you might as well forget it because it would be like spending $3,000 to replace the transmission in your $500 Hyundai. Not worth it in that case.
I had the port working but data wasn't great. Only had 3g in certain places. APN wouldn't stick if you select LTE. I think it had to do with the profile not updating, so that might fix data. I'm actually getting a new phone this week because of a major lag issue so I stopped working on it. I spoke to the developer. He said he would help but has been unresponsive this week. I can wait till you release your next rim. You did a good job on the stock ROM. I wish I didn't have a hardware issue.
