Dear mod, please close thread

Can a mod close this, something bigger and better is coming along.

Notes: The HTC IME keyboard included is big as f*ck, therefore it was removed and replaced with gingerbread keyboard. Enable it in settings>language and keyboard.

Could you leave a comment on what fc's you had, the feedback would help us make improvements.

Sure thing about the FC's - When adding a widget to the home screen, using my keyboard was another... HOWEVER, this is a good FYI, if not already mentioned,
I downloaded LCD Density - chnged it to 120dpi and items fit a little just right,like the dial pad. Still playin will send more info when available.

Thanks for feedback.

I played around with this ROM for a while, not so much tho as its getting late and I need some sleep! only issues I came across were trying to add widgets to the screens (already stated), and you have to enable the HTC keyboard in settings before you are able to type anything, android keyboard wouldnt show up trying to select input method. also, the stock messages app doesnt launch while in landscape, but will launch in portrait. other than that, this ROM looks awesome and runs pretty smooth to be in the beta stages. looking forward to more development!

How did you install it? Sense ROMs will **** out FC's like crazy if you install it wrong.

[ROM] GingerSnap ***NEW** Beta v1.0

Hi all, I am a new Android developer and am working on my first ROM. It is based off of the 2.3.6 OTA w/ wifi calling. I am focusing on providing a clean user experience with speed and functionality as the top priorities.
I am still in the early stages of developing it but need a couple users to report their experiences with it. I have the SGH-T989, but every Android user uses their phone in a different fashion, so I think it would be beneficial to get other people's thoughts. If you are interested in testing, please post here and I will PM you the link.
About this ROM
As a student I have lots of free time to work on this ROM and about an hour a day during classes dedicated towards ROM development. You can expect this to always be a work in progress as I am not going to stop working on it.

For anyone following my phone troubles, I found the answer. The entire problem was caused by an app called All Call Recorder Deluxe 2.0 by Andriod Labs. It worked awesome until we got WIFI calling. I uninstalled that app and now my phone is finally behaving like a phone again!

Oops, seems I forgot to delete that. I made a list of all of the features I'd like to include in this and then deleted the ones I haven't done yet. That was supposed to be deleted.

I did miss Swype for the couple weeks I had my phone and it wasn't available, never installed the "hacked" ones..

Where can we download that beautiful theme of yours!?

It's the newest version, but uploading Swype is a violation of XDA rules since Swype asked them to politely to refrain from sharing. Wouldn't want to get into any trouble. The search results being themed is part of my google widget theming and is listed in the theme forums here.

I still can not download german language for Swype. What a bull****...

Wow they finally got rid of that horrid black box that pops up for word choice. That's why after about a year of using Swype I tried all the other alternatives, and then with the Galaxy Nexus I gave up and just went with the stock keyboard and was just starting to get used to it even if its painfully slow compared to swyping >.>
ITS SO MUCH BETTER NOW. Can't believe it took so long to get rid of that ****ty menu
Only thing I miss from stock is the new voice input where you can pause for as long as you want and hit END when you're done, and also being able to long touch on the suggested words list to pull up a big word list overlay with all the words you could use there, instead of swiping left or right.

Anyone downloaded another dictionary?
I uninstalled and re-installed the installer and then the app.
I now have:

This appears to be the latest version (if the swype-beta-integrates-dragon-go-ice-cream-sandwich-support-2 page on the nuancemobilelife website is to be believed)
Went to download English (UK) and it says "queued for download..."
Tried going into Swype Connect to Refresh, but no movement so far :-(

Had the same issue. Delete the cache files of Swype and try again. Finally it worked once after multiple retries.

ICS Easter Egg

Was messing around on ICS FB17 leak and..
system settings -> about phone -> android version
click on it like 10 times. fast. if it doesn't work try faster.
i thought it was cool.

just found this.
once you get to the screen with lloyd (the android guy), press and hold.....

actually this helped me, i knew its was there but was not clicking fast , looks nice, thank you...

I remember seeing this like...last year.

This is a known easter egg, has been known for a while. I'm sure you knew about it too.

I think every android phone does this. I tried it on my sis cricket phone and my brothers exhibit. And on this one. Its cool how much they're amazed lol

Nothing against you, but we also are quickly getting out of control of the "rogue mods" with an unnecessary and unmerited sense of authority, reposting the same old played out explanations (which is hilariously against forum rules as well) for "searching before posting" and other tireless, unnecessary comments; because they feel their 2 cents is more important than our moderators.

Absolutely useless from a user standpoint, but fun to look at.

Question about venom sensations rom

Ok so i would of posted this in the development thread of the rom but I don't have 10 posts yet. Anyways I downloaded the rom but for whatever reason it comes with nova instead of apex which I see in the video review. It's really not that big of a deal but I want the app draw button from the screen shots lol.
I just have the regular ics one, is this because he changed it with the newer updates?
I know this must seem very silly but its frustrating the hell out of me!
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Yes the ROM has been updated make sure you read the OP's update notes before you download and flash. You can always down load another launcher from the play store if you don't like nova.
I believe dazed switched in 1.3 from apex to nova. So just download apex and sent it as your default launcher.

I still use apex as well on version 1.4. You can change the icon used for the app drawer by long pressing it and then select edit and then tap on the icon. If you extract that icon from the ROM and stick it on your sd card, it will be easy to find and select. I would attach it here for you but I don't know if that's allowed!
