[Q] viper flasher problem - HTC One X

Hi all!
I have a htc one x mobile. Today i try to install a new viperx 3.7.7 rom. I have no backup unfortunately. I install rom and kernel in venom kernel flasher but i get this message:

How I can flash it manually?

Copy the boot.img to the same dir as the fastboot.exe file is. Point in the folder with the mouse and hold shift + click the right mouse button. Then select open command window here
Put the phone in the bootloader and type this in the command window :
Fastboot flash boot boot.img (enter)
Fastboot erase cache (enter)

MyoneV RC 3.0 Installation Instruction

Hi everyone,
I'm new to modding and can't wait to get started. Can anybody simplify or expound in detail the instructions below
to a noob like me
Instructions:
1. Extract boot.img from the myONEv RC3.0.zip for the kernel. (Where exactly do I put it?)
2 Boot into bootloader - fastboot flash boot boot.img - fastboot reboot-bootloader - fastboot erase cache (How do I do this?)
3. Boot into recovery - flash myONEv RC3.0.zip (How?)
Thanks,
Noob
Before we can advise details on the above questions, you need to answer these questions first:
1) Is your phone bootloader unlocked ?
2) Do you have CWM or TWRP recovery installed ?

I believe you do have fastboot.exe that you use to unlock bootloader.
Put the myONEv RC3.0 in your sdcard.
1. Extract boot.img from the myONEv RC3.0.zip for the kernel. (Where exactly do I put it?)
Take out the boot.img from the zip and put it in the fastboot folder where you have the fastboot.exe
2 Boot into bootloader - fastboot flash boot boot.img - fastboot reboot-bootloader - fastboot erase cache (How do I do this?)
Open CMD prompt and CD to your fastboot folder and do the step:
fastboot flash boot boot.img <enter>
fastboot erase cahe <enter>
3. Boot into recovery - flash myONEv RC3.0.zip (How?)
Press power button once, you'll be in hboot
use the volume button to select recovery
press power to go to recovery
- install zip from sdcard
- choose zip from sdcard
scroll down to pick myONEv RC3.0.zip
scroll to chose Yes - Install myONEv_RC3.0.zip
and follow the installation process. Once complete, reboot
enter all details for setup, you are done.

[Q] stuck on splash loop

Ok I've looked everywhere but can't find anything solid to help me.
I installed this
rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1727657
factory reset, put it on sd card, used TWRP to install from zip and install gapps, wiped cache, when I reboot it just loops the HTC splash
What have I missed out? I just can't work it out.
I can still use bootloader and twrp
I've also seen people say go into fastboot and type this and that, how do you type in fastboot?
Thanks in advance for any help
flash the boot.img with "fastboot flash boot boot.img" the "fastboot erase cache" and you should be fine
go into bootloader and connect your phone to your pc and your click fastboot in your phone and it should say FASTBOOT USB the just type the above in CMD
and one more thing your hboot must be 1.31 or higher
Have you repacked an AOSP kernel with the boot.img ??

Your CWM is outdated. Download a new version: http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.4.0-endeavoru.img
Put it to your fastboot folder and rename it 'recovery'. Boot the phone to fastboot mode. Flash by typing to fastboot cmd window:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot erase cache

[Q] Flashed boot.img now looping splash screen

Hello,
I've been running ARHD ICS for a while now so decided to upgrade to ARHD JB tonight. Flashed HBOOT and boot.img fine, however for some reason after flashing boot.img my phone tried to reboot. Reaches the white HTC splash screen (with the green HTC logo) and doesnt go any further.
When I try to reboot back into recovery, nothing happens it just gets stuck at the splash screen again!
Any ideas? I assume this is because I'm running JB firmware and a ICS rom at the minute, so I just need to get back into recovery to flash the JB ROM.
Any help would be appreciated
Whats your hboot version ? did you ever updated the phone to JB ?
do :
fastboot getvar version-main
and post the result here please

yeah you need to update the hboot first in order to run JB....none of them will run.
i will get you a ruu to get back to full stock, then you can update to ICS 404 and then to JB 3.14

oke what commands did you use ?
Try this :
fastboot erase cache (and try to enter the recovery)
did you made a full wipe before installing the new rom ?
and this is the command for flashing the boot.img :
fastboot flash boot boot.img (not fastboot boot boot.img, that will indeed reboot the phone)

EDIT : UNLOCK the bootloader first !
first flash a new recovery, yours is old. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qsurumd3gs0vkar/Philz recovery 5.3.0.img
then flash the boot.img from the ARHD rom
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache
then make a full wipe in the recovery
Factory reset
wipe cache partition
advanced - wipe dalvik cache
mounts and storage - format cache, data, system
then install the new rom !
Thanks for that, I've managed to boot into the new ROM, however I dont have any signal now. I've gone to select the operator manually and Orange isnt available. My SIM works fine in another phone.

[Q] Stuck on Recovery / bootloader (Mac OS)

Hello everyone,
I have a an international HTC One X.
I rooted it yesterday and tried to load a 4.4.2 rom but I got a Status7 message.
Now I am stuck on Recovery (clockworkmod) and I can't access my phone.
I tried adb but the phone is not listed in the devices. Fixing this would be a good start.
Accessing it through USB to load a zip file in the internal memory for a start would be more than enough to fix it.
But how can I do this? Need to say that I also have a Mac!
Thank you so much in advance!
Flash philz 5.15 and mount the sdcard and wait literally a minute or 2.....it will pop up eventually.

Enter it and mount the sdcard in the mount and storage menu as a usb mass storage device .....Then wait. Copy the rom you want (any non kitkat) and make a full wipe and install the rom. Reboot back to the bootloader and flash the boot.img from that rom
/fastboot-mac flash boot boot.img
And then reboot.
so if I get things right I should use:
/fastboot-mac flash boot boot.img
/fastboot-mac erase cache
to push the new rom in... right?

You can use kitkat roms but you need a different recovery for that.
1: copy the desired rom to the sdcard and change the recovery. Make a full wipe and install the rom, flash the boot.img via Fastboot and reboot
2: flash any NON kitkat rom. Make a full wipe, install the rom and flash the boot.img via fastboot

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Now if you can tell me what's the 4.4.2 rom I can put on my phone and forget about flashing it for the next 3-4 months would be great
Cant tell which one, there is no such thing as a best rom. All roms has different options and features that a user needs or not.
But good it works again !
