Has anybody gotten this to work on the GNex yet?
Hey Guys,
I noticed that my wife's Galaxy Note II only has the "Allshare Play" installed on her phone.
I have the original Galaxy Note and I have "Allshare" icon.
I like the Allshare app on my original Note and my wife likes it too. So far, we use iMediaShare to do it but we want to give the Allshare app a try.
Anybody knows where I can find the installer for it? or is it even compatible with the Note 2?
Thanks!
bump please
You can turn on Allshare using toggle in pull down.
The problem is that apps a mess- Connectivity issue with device freeze on ATT version so you might want to take pass on using until updated.

Thanks! I think this is Allshare but maybe a different version because it is different compared to my original Note. In my original note, when i open "
AllShare" (not AllShare Play), I can browse from my phone and display it on my Samsung TV.
This time (with Note 2 - AllShare Play), it is the other way around. I can only access videos/music/pictures from the Allshare option from the TV.
Then again, imediashare does the same function as the old AllPlay.
I'm wondering if there is an APK around?
I have been llooking for answers as to how to do this yet I have not found a good site that explains it well. I just picked up a SERIES 8 Samsung TV..and I want to connect my s3 to it to view pics or what not.
Anyone have any experience doing this?
I have a Samsung smart tv and a galaxy s3. The tv is wired into the network. I recall that I have done anything rose to make it work, but out digits. From the gallery, music player, or movie viewer I can send what ever it is to the tv. Of course the s3 is using WiFi in the same network.

I have my S3 and TV on the same wifi network but I do not know the steps to do it..nothing on my manual. How did you do it?
As long as rhey are both on the same network... you just need to open whatever media file you want throgh allshare
Your tv should then prompt you as tk whether youbwant to let the media stream or not

I downloaded Allshare Control app and it says framework not installed?
My bad...its imediashare that you want to play it through.....

I have a Samsung Smart TV, a Samsung Laptop and obviously the GS3. I have the Allshare application on my PC which prompts you to share the path folder which holds your movies, photos, etc. On GS3 it does the same thing, but you have to be on the stock framework (rooted is fine but not ROM'd)... On your network your phone should recognize your TV as it has a pre-designated name given to it, and it will ask you if you want to share information with the device (TV). If the TV is hardwired it then it may not work. As of right now if I have everything over WiFi then there is no issue. Once I hardwire the TV then Allshare doesn't recognize my TV anymore from my PC or GS3.

Hello All,
Can anyone please tell me how can we use NFC/WiFi direct to transfer files from our OGP to other devices? I tried with Galaxy Note 3 but every time I tapped my device with note3, it opened play store for something.. Is there anything missing?
Does anyone know how to get books bought and downloaded from the Samsung Hub to open when there is no wifi available? Ive asked Samsung support for help but i keep getting the run-around and im beginning to think its not possible. It seems Samsung Hub always wants to check-in online before allowing the book to open, once a check-in has occured, i can read without wifi. But if i try to open a book where wifi is not available then im out of luck. Anyone have ideas? This seems crazy if you cant open purchased books right?
