Well I guess the Title is self explanatory. Although the stutter is occasional, anyone who's played the game will agree that occasional is bad enough. I want to be able to play it smooth on best quality, as it game looks very nice with it.
I'm running...
Firmware 1.29
ROM: ARHD 12.1
My Cpu Binning: 2
Kernel: Elemental X 3.4 [all setting stock, except I/O & Gpu freq]
I/O: Deadline
Cpu: Ondemand
Gpu: Ondemand [450mhz]
I've tried with complete clean install of ROM and .apk, but the problem resides.
Any other HTC one owners facing this? Have a solution?
Thanks in advance.

Some stutters could occur with ElementalX kernel because it's not based on the stock Sense kernel, but on the GE source code instead,
So I'm almost sure using Bulletproof 4.3 will fix the problem (Actually I faced the same problem with some little lags in the rom with ElemantalX which were not present with Bulletproof)
Bulletproof is an enhanced stock kernel with some nice features.
Hope it helps,
cheers

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I've seen the Bulletproof kernel, but opted to go with Elemental X because of the extra features it offers. Anyways, at-least now I know a possible cause for the stutters, and an important differentiation between the two kernels, which I was not aware of before.

I've been testing out some miui roms and it seems they all have a little lag at the main screen? I know the phone has above average ram for a cell phone anyone know of a way to speed this up make it smoother? you know? or a rom they found was smooth and best optimized for the dhd?
cyanogenmod 7, been using it for a week now and no lags so far, few problems though, but nothing significant, easily resolved.
ahhh okay any roms with miui on them? i'm really loving this interface but i will give that a shot as well thanks.
try rey's miui 1.7.1. (not 1.7.15 because 1.7.1 runs smoother )
if these governors are available.in your kernel version you can also try to change the governor to brazilianwax since ondemandX causes some lag. (at least for me)

Hey guys.
I wanted to know to get the best performance in the game, what steps do you go?
And what is the best ROM for the game? No matter the Jelly Belly 's or IceCream Sandwich, just tell me which are the best thing that I need?
For example, running the Batman, or Modern Combat 3
ROM and personalization capabilities of its beauty is not important to me. I just want to run games smoothly!
Please tell:
1 Android version that you use
2 Which ROM do you use?
3 Which kernel do you use?
4 Do you use (a) special program(s)?
5 and personal experience ....
6 What suggestions do you have?
The goal is to minimize the lag in games
Thanks
Very much

I wouldn't worry about the ROM. Just get a fast kernel with an overclocked GPU. Stable Trinity kernel has just been released in several overclock variations. Just use the fastest one that runs on your gnex without problems. Might try the 1420/384 or 1420/537. Then use Trinity Kernel Toolkit to turn up the minimum CPU speed one notch, from 307 to 6##. That makes more of a difference than overclocking the maximum CPU speed IMO. Experiment with different governor settings, too. The default (on-demand) is better for battery life than performance. Works on practically any Jellybean based ROM, and there's a version for ICS too. You can also play with the hardware overlay and force GPU settings in gnex developer section.
I agreee with strumcat. Kernel matters most, and Trinity is what I'm using now. And yeah, setting the governor and the min CPU will help.
Thank you!
You know?
I remember when Jelly bean was released, I tried Franco kernel & Trinity kernel on ice cream sandwich , both in frequency of 384 (or 386, can not remember) were stable, but at frequencies 512 (or higher) when running games, everything was corrupted and I could not play!
(Even the samurai against zombies!)
(I do not know this problem has recently been solved or not)
The problem is the ROM or the kernel?
(I am a novice in the use of kernel; Whether a particular adjustment would be done that I forget?)
Different phones are able to handle different amounts of overclocking. But I'd guess that the TNP1344-384-JB-STABLE Trinity kernel would work on most gnex phones without trouble. The 537 GPU has trouble on some phones but not others. So your experience was not unusual and doesn't indicate any inherent problem with the Trinity or Franco kernels. The higher speed kernels aren't really for everyday use.
hey buddy!!!
u know what's my setting for playing
I have been using Omega Rom from version 8 up to version 18, then switched to ProBam, then Pacman, and now I'm back on Omega 19, giving the "official" 4.3 a shot.
I have tried many many settings and kernels to get this game run without a lag.
So far, I have seen no lag when using performance governor while playing for a few minutes (no overclocking the CPU or GPU) that was it...
Every other setup gives lag, more or less. The second best setup would be pegasusq governor, not much changes when overclocking CPU or GPU, or both.
Using a stock kernel is also not bad, but lags every now and then. (not dependant on Rom)
But I want to get the sound settings from trickster mod for example, so I feel like I need a custom kernel with my Rom of choice.
So, does anyone have a good setup that matches performance governor, but does not stick permanently to maximum CPU load?
I don't care about battery life, so I need a good performing setup.
(Just on a side note: when people say "there is no lag at all when scrolling through my homescreens" then I can only think that this should be normal with ANY setup. And I never had any lag while scrolling through my homescreens, except while I was using my HTC Hero...)
I would very much appreciate if someone with the same goal could help me out, or someone knows the default settings of the stock kernel...
Or is this whole idea just utopic, because the game is badly coded?
I don't understand why stock based, even if modded have lags already after some hours... but why the cm based not????
i tried all modded rom stock based with same results on ver. 32gb and 16gb. the same problem in my friend's phones.....
what has cm based for solve this problem?
thanks
Stock based ROMs got much more apps than CM12 (stock based ROM zips are 4 times bigger than CM ROM zips), therefore it gets cluttered.
Easiest way to get rid of lag in stock rom is to replace LG's keyboard with an alternative keyboard. Also change governor, interactive is worst out there, laggy as hell. I prefer conservative.
You can also try out many stock based kernels on forum. They got better performance and battery life.
can you help me to find a stock based rom and a kernel to solve this problem? i tried novastock, cloudy and others... also kernel gabriel but perhaps without correct settings... always lag! thanks
i'm using gabriel kernel with alucard governer and alucard hotplug. max frequency scaled down 4 times to 1728, reaally gets rid of lags, battery and overheating issues for me. if you want you can scale it up by a little bit but I think alucard governor is really good
I use Cloudy 2.5 with Cloudy's kernel, set to conservative governor and adjust Read Ahead Buffer Size to 4096. I noticed that with buffer that high the essential apps open instantly, without the white midscreen.
Sometimes when I'm bored I restore backup to CM12 and the performance is pretty much the same, except stock ROM got launcher that crashes a lot lately, but that is LG's fault, not developers.
Because LG applications and services seems not optimized for the device

Anyone else experiencing the same issue? There are micro strutters everywhere if you notice carefully all around the os on op3 now but especially noticeable in chrome browser while scrolling. My nexus 6p on 7.1.1 stock is a lot more smoother overall now than my op3.
Yes, I'm experiencing the same thing, but didn't find a solution till now...
Yup.performance is bad compared to ob9
I have this "problem" on other 7.0 rom..
The only solution is to increase input boost, try 1190 for 500 ms..
I am pretty sure this release was a little rushed out so they kept their promise thus it's not perfect..wait a month or two for an update and everything will be back to normal.
I don't seem to be having any lags though...make sure you did a completely clean flash to avoid any conflicts.
Not noticing this on my end. Clean flashed OOS 4.

Yeah, same here.
Actually, I've been noticing the stuttering since MM, but after updating to Nougat it became worse
I mean, the OP3/T is maybe the fastest smartphone out there, but it ain't smooth at all, the stuttering is even more noticeable if you scroll holding the screen, not releasing it
I'm hoping this is not an issue with only some devices (faulty GPUs?), because a lot of user report no lag/stutter at all when you ask them, but hopefully it's because some people just don't notice
Try snapdragon designed browsers like Arter's Chromium build or Pryope browser, change scheduler to Fiops or BFQ or Noop and increase readahead to 2048. Also increase input boost to 1500 ms with freqency 1190-1324.

Well.. the lag is actually everywhere, not just chrome (although is more noticeable there, and in play store)
I don't know where to change those settings, so i assume that you are using CM or a custom Kernel, i don't know about OP, but in my case i'm trying to stay stock so.. kind of a problem here

If you have root you can try kernel adiutor. The options are there even in stock kernel and ROM.
I am not experiencing any lag at all using experience rom v 7 (oos 4.0.1) and ghostpepper profile
I had lag with chrome and chromium in MM but not in nougat
