HTC One Housing - One (M7) Accessories

My dog chewed my front htc one housing n e clue what to do - Also friends I have a HTC One Dev Group on whats app - Anyone wants to join just pm me ur number - Cheers !!

There are spare housing elements on ebay and etradesupply. A full housing set is around 40 USD. You will need some skills to replace it yourself though.

Pics? Just wanna see the damage, I HAVE two dogs and I'm terrified when their around my phone.
P.s. yup, get it from etradesupply. Plus there is a thread around here somewhere about instructions on disassembly and reassembly.
There can only be one, the chosen ONE.

I'm going to tell you right now its probably better to leave it how it is as long as its functional. It takes a lot of time and effort for this repair here is a guide for it I wish you the best of luck.( http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/HTC+One+Teardown/13494/1)

Dunno how true ifixit really is to be honest. Someone here repaired their HTC One just fine (search for the post) and I was able to open up my Surface Pro pretty easily as well even though ifixit gave it the lowest possible rating.

Shoot said dog.

Conspiracy...Samsung paid iFixit to write the HTC One repair review and gave it a bad score. :what:

Even if they did you can't say its anywhere near as easy as the galaxy s4 or s3. The phone is not meant to be pulled apart that's one of the reason for the uniebody design. I will say most of there guides that I have followed has never told me wrong and are extremely informative. The whole point of me posting it is just to show op what he's in for.

Actually HTC has their own tool for opening the One which makes it easier. I recommend giving it to an HTC repair center and pay the price :/

HTC One V t320e - A form of review

Hello fellow users,
Today my phone arrived, it is a t320e model (don't know if there are other models, i know the one from china/japan which is something with w i guess), and sadly it has some problems with the back panel at the camera slot - it is a little bit of. The guy who assembled the thing, I think it was drunk, or 'beginner'.
The good news is, I tested the phone at the shop, and they have a good policy about buy-back in 30 days. So I imediately spotted the problem and the guy from the shop said that "You can have this one home with you, I'll place an order now, and we will call you when your replacement gets here.". Don't know how good you will see this photo:
View attachment 1097448
After arriving home, I've discovered another disturbing issue. The backlight from the virtual buttons are leaking into the screen. Basically you can see it if they are lit and you have a black wallpaper (or sms app open). It looks very ugly, and I'm glad that I'll get a replacement in a few days. Hopefully it will be bug free and I will enjoy the phone but I know that these issue (maybe not the first one, but the second) are known and several users reported them. It is sad to say that HTC released crap quality builds (i'm talking about the casing) and if the problem persist with all the replacements (during this 30days of buy-back), with sadness I will get my money back and buy another phone.

Otherwise the phone is a good piece at this price range and the camera + display blew me away. I didn't tested further because it did not have juice and now it is charging, but I'll report further when I will done my testing on it. And report again when the replacement is in my hands.
PS: yeah, I know. photos are crap quality. took them with an ipod 4th generation -> CRAP!

Well, my dealer said that they will have a new phone on 12th of June, but I'm thinking that if I go with the current phone to them, get my money back and then place a new order to the same shop, maybe they will feel like forced to get the phone faster.

bulging on ONE X back

i dont know if its there when i bought the phone , but i noticed it 2 days back a small bulging just above HTC logo on back of the phone ...
i think it the heating part of phone ...
i tried to take some pics but cant get to see it ..
check if any body has it ...
That is odd..
The back of mine is completely flat/flush, even when I put a ruler against it, there is not the slightest bump.
I'd take it back to the shop and tell them about it!
I assume something has expanded, like the battery. Take it back before it's too late, as the last thing you want is it getting worse, or something to happen like the battery to suddenly stop working!
Edit:
Could you provide maybe a side-on shot so we can see how elevated it is? Like lay it face down on a table and take a photo of the side, and possibly hold something straight like a ruler, that way it'd be easier to see

I see it now, definitely nothing like that on my HOX. I highly recommend you take it back to the shop (if it's not too late) in case it could lead to something breaking.

Should do, if you bought the phone within the last 28 days or something. You'd get one on the spot I think.
If you are past that, it will probably be sent for repair and fixed or replaced.

Even I have a slight bulge on my htc one x it's hardly 20 days old. I think many are having this issue . Htc should replace our handsets
Definatley a replacement job, nothing like I've seen.
As stated before mine is completely flat.
I really suggest getting that thing replaced. If that has anything to do with the battery or the placement of the heat, it can be very dangerous. I've heard of batteries expanding and bursting. I really suggest getting rid of that phonw, and if it burst when your using it. You can have a serious burn on your hands. Good luck

This caused me to go crazy and test mine to see if it bulged! Luckily, I can thankfully conclude, it has not

Htc take note of this . And test it if it's a global problem or not . We've spent a fortune for this phone. Kindly replace all devices with the problem
Have you taken it to a service center? What did they say? Because I have the same problem here :\
And also, do you by any chance use a silicon case? Because (call me crazy, an idiot, a nonsensical airhead, whatever) I suspect that it might have something to do with it
device not dead yet ... the dude is still rolling ...

Online repairs

Anyone know of a reputable online repair service?
Insurance refusing to pay out, repair is my only option. Screen and Digitizer both smashed.
Thanks.
These people are very reputable. But sure about their prices though. The last phone they repaired for me was a cheap Nokia.

You could send it to HTC and have them repair it? At least you know its legitimate.
one of my customers said he used taxi-logistics to have his phones repaired, might be worth giving them a call - they seem to specialise in htc equipment, it doesn't specifically say about hox, but worth a try!

good idea, would be a lot cheaper, and seeing as its buggered anyways you haven't got a lot to lose..

Any one know of a parts company for M7?

Hi everyone,
Has anyone found a good parts company yet for the HTC one? Especially if it's in the UK.
I've cracked the glass circle lens for the camera. I have to say I did absolutely nothing yet it's cracked from the centre spidering outwards.
I have seen whole backs for sale in USD. But it seems silly for a centimetre bit of glass that I can just pick out, and push in a replacement.
Any help is appreciated. Google and eBay have been of no help at the moment.
Thanks

I'd have to agree. I have once again blown a speaker in mine...this makes 3 our of 5 HTC phones I've owned through the years that have had busted speakers. =\
Anyway, in my Hero and OG Evo the speaker was easy to replace, I didn't even bother replacing it in my 4g LTE.
This phone, however, is apparently one of the hardest as far as repair work goes. Ifixit rated it 1 out of 10 in the department.

I would love to be able to swap out my front top and bottom covers for the black ones. But I don't dare.
There's a guy on YouTube that has videos showing how to do it.
It's a lengthy process and fairly difficult, but he manages to do it many times and made a T-Mobile HTC one red.
