Best glass screen protector - Galaxy S III Accessories

Looking for the best glass screen protector. Would prefer it to fit with UAG or otter box defender. All the reviews seem poor on amazon so wanted to ask xda.
Thanks

I would go for the SPIGEN SGP Samsung Galaxy S3 Premium Glass Screen Protector as it saved my phone screen last night. I accidentally
dropped it from 15 feet onto a hard tiled floor, the screen protector broke saving my screen.
The best £22.49 I ever spent!

How is response time

I have noticed on EBay that there are other cheaper tempered glass protectors on sale for less than half the price!

i meant response time like when typing or unlocking the screen, did it lag? some protectors make the response time of the screen terrible

It was really good just as fast as normal.

None on their website or amazon. Maybe I'll try amzer . or iloome

Anyone tried the iloome's version? Couple of videos in Youtube says it's the best. And the screen responsiveness doesn't suffer at all.

I have recently installed the "Just Like Glass" protector from DBA cases. Awesome product, only $13 US, arrived in 2 days. No Orange peel effect, it's actually 20% smoother than glass! Check the website they have all the science stuff... has been shown to increase the break protection of your screen too.
I love it so far, and I also got one of their thin grip cases. Doesn't add bulk, but gives a good surface to grip, and stick up just barely enough that when you place your phone facedown it doesn't actually rest on the glass.

I promise I don't work for them, just a happy customer!

Question about screen protector
I have recently purchased the Anker 7200 MAH extended battery. I am trying to find a screen protector now I now that there are many threads on this topic but there is so many any particular ones to read? Or start this new one, plastic film or glass and any particular recommendation? Thanks for any help

My brother has a Galaxy S3 and he wants me to find a good glass screenprotector (he's jealous of my nexus 5 + nillkin glass screenprotector)
The Iloome is sold out. Any alternatives?

I've had this one for about 6 months now, and it's been great: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...935&sr=8-2&keywords=s3+glass+screen+protector
It works with a case too.

I got this one
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LF2U1I8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
fits beautifully over my phone and looks great. none of that silly cut out that left parts of the phone exposed for no reason.
EDIT: when i got mine... they actually covered up the "Samsung" wording on it as well.. dunno if that was changed or not by the time i got it but mine definitely was covered up.

I use this.
Is good.

Zagg HD screen protecters

Just saying the are pretty awesome, almost feels and looks like glass.

They are pretty good, but take a look @ Best Skins Ever. They are pretty much the same protectors @ rock bottom prices.
Look into Clearplex. They they should be known a lot more amongst people. Its just better than an over rated zagg (not hatin, just sayin).

Mind you side by side you can tell..

The best way I've found to install the screen protectors is by spraying the phones screen, then spray the top of the shield, your fingers, peel it off the backing, and then spray the adhesive side of the shield. It'll give you plenty of liquid to position the shield and since your fingers are wet it won't stick to you/leave your fingerprint on the screen. When using the squeegee on the HD shield spray that as well and use very short strokes starting from the center working your way out. They're thicker then the regular ones and can get very small bubbles under them that are hard to get out without causing a run in the shield.

me too. love it
I have a Zagg HD on mine and hate it.
That being said it is the best protector I have tried, and have ended up using Zagg protectors on my s1, s2, s3, tab 8.9, tab 10.1, and nexus 7.
I hate the plasticy feel, the orange peel, and the fact I rarely have one make it longer than 4 or 5 months before needing replacement.
Again on the plus I have never had a single question or problem when getting it replaced.
My verdict is this;
I hate screen protectors, but they are nessessary. Zagg makes one of the, if not the best one out there, their customer service and product support is excellent.

Not quite sure why everyone hates zagg. I'm quite fond of their products. I had an invisible shield on my S2 for the entire life of the phone and it was great. I went through 3 zaggs with my wife's iPod and 2 for my old blackberry. Then I tried one with my s3 and just another disappointment. Needless to say all our devices are zagg free. There is no way that im that unlucky to get all defects. So my opinion is that they are very low quality and shouldn't charge as much as they do for their inferior products. My blackberry has a $5 screen protector that lasted 3 years and is still on there. Currently my s3 is naked until the revised specter comes out.

The zagg hd I haven't had that problem with YET but also I don't expect to. It's like half the thickness or less so I expect it won't have the same problem as the orange peal version

Just picked one up at Best Buy for $35 and this thing is pretty thick! It's so thick it sits higher than the home button. Smooth as butter. I'm still waiting for it to completely dry but I don't think it's as clear as the Zagg HD. Makes the screen look kind of grainy. Oh well, I still like it. Definitely not going to test its durability like it was in the iphone video.

Zagg HD and the Note 2

I installed the Zagg HD screen protector on my new Note 2 yesterday, and I will tell you it should not have been cleared for use with the Note 2. It is so soft that it feels like it's ribbed from using swype with the S-Pen... and I don't press hard at all. What's worse, it's effecting the accuracy of the S-Pen itself, as I find I need to press harder. I would not recommend this screen protector for use with our amazing device. Really looking like I might have to go naked unless I can find a very S-Pen friendly protector!
PS
Best Buy Mobile offered to exchange the protector for me and install it tomorrow, an offer which I am going to accept and deal with until I find the best alternative.
I have the extreme guard $4 body and screen. Everything works flawless.

I made the mistake of believing the saleslady at Best Buy Mobile that the new Zagg HD was just fine with the S-Pen... first mistake. I have a Rearth screen protector waiting for me at home once I return from this business trip... but ya, I am looking forward to the upcoming Glas protector as well. Any word on it's release date?
I was on the same boat I bought the rubber screen.. shouldve posted a warning but got lazy :/
And I asked sgp and all they said so far was that it was a wip... and blah blahs

Ghost & Feather Tempered Glass Screen Protectors Now Available From MIME

I've never purchased from these guys, but I've heard about them around here on XDA. I've been keeping an eye out for these glass protectors on Spigen's and MIME's websites and it seems MIME has finally made theirs available.

I told them the truth, sent them pictures and they sent me a code for a replacement. I asked for them to give me a ghost instead (the ghost is also cheaper) and they did. I didn't ask for the difference in cost... Figured it was only fair.

I would say not to worry that much. My experience installing the feather was not an issue, I also used my thumb to clear out air bubbles then a squeegee later and I didn't have any issues with cracking. I really love the feel with my bumper case.

iloome installed, mini-review
Ordered mine from amazon, came in about 2-3 days. First impression, the packaging for the flex glass was great. A box inside a little box, inside a thick protective covering, inside of a thin protective covering. It came with all the necessary things for a clean install- cleaning cloth, "hinge" tape, and dust remover. The flex glass was perfectly cut, although it only has a cutout for the speaker- no cutout for front camera or proximity. I have not noticed any difference in quality of the front camera or had any issues with the proximity sensor. Glass is crystal clear and so much better than the other type of screen protectors. The glass feel is perfect. 100% satisfied...never gonna have a phone without it again!

How does this compare to popular PET film screen protectors like the iSmooth?
Can someone with both comment on the differences?
I have the iSmooth, which works great with my Diztronic case. Clarity is also great, but it seems to attract so much oil!! My screen constantly gets greasy and becomes a fingerprint magnet. More so than cheaper screen protectors that I've put on my parents' phones. So does the oleophobic coating on the iloome work well?

This flex glass almost feels like the OEM glass. It was raining today and i noticed that when it hit the screen, the water immediately beaded. With that said, it's alot easier to clean! It attracts a bit less fingerprints than the PET films, but nothing significant. Definitely on the same scale as the OEM glass. Hope that helps

Ok, [email protected]$$. That wasn't called for. As for your mini review it would be helpful if you has a link to it. Just saying.......
Yes if you search iloome in the Nexus 5. Accessories section nothing about your supposed mini review comes up. So if you're going to post something, I suggest something useful.
BTW, the time it took for you to reply, you could have answered the question.............

Um read it again. He said no cut out for camera or proximity sensor. He didn't experience any issues. It's like a teacher having to tell a student to read the directions again.

Well it would do you some good if you could learn to at least scan the review. I would understand if this thread was pages long, but my post was two above yours. Stop looking for handouts. So no, i wont answer your question that was already answered two post above yours. Stop taking things personally. You should take your own advice and contribute

Can anyone post some pictures about this screen?
Besides oleophobicity, is it also antifingerprint and antirefflective (so, matte, as its name implies)?
How is this compared to GLASS-M, MIME or other tempered glass protectors?
