Your welcome!
And agree it'll get better with time, just like wine! Lol

Tried it...but I like the touchwiz lock screen and it interferes with it. Phone flashes briefly like normal then quickly turns off...then active notifications activates.

Yeah I know what you mean! It's for those that want those type of features is all!! It's kinda like some like pop up SMS. And Which I dislike. That's all!!
But it's still actually a cool app!, not sure how it'll be on battery life..

Well, I presume using the AOSP lockscreen you won't have that issue. But I enjoy the touch wiz one. It should be fine (battery life) as long as its an amoled screen. Wouldn't recommend on an LCD/IPS screen.

I take no credit for this app!
While browsing the Play Store I found this app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hannah.navisimulator
It's basically a Navi simulator that puts up messages in your notification area. I thought it was pretty awesome.

It was annoying enough in OoT, why would anyone want to torture themselves with this?
Think I just got a nostalgia boner.

Fawwwkkk! Couldn't last one minute with that damn pixie yelling "HEY" Lol I'll pass.

Oh man, this is hilarious. Thanks for sharing.
HEY!!! LISTEN!!!!!
EDIT: Navi in this app is just as annoying as Fi in Skyward Sword when your battery runs low lol

I just leave the notification there and she doesn't bother me again lol. I really hope for a time interval or a when you check in somewhere option.

Oh man this is great.
This shows off the jelly bean notifications nicely as well.
Now I kinda want a "HEY! LISTEN!" notification tone

You can find a couple using the Zedge app. That's what I'm using as my SMS tone atm...it basically pisses me off so much that I can't ignore my texts like I usually do.
Idk if I have a faulty camera or not but it seems like the photos I take on the phone seem very blurry. Is it just me, or is the screen just to big which is making the pictures look a little pixelated?

Man, I noticed and have been thinking the same thing. My pictures turn out really grainy. I try to hold it perfectly still but more than half my pictures turn out looking like crap. I've tried messing with the settings but I've got nothing...
Are you holding it still until the picture is clear on your screen ?
This happens to me but only when I do not hold it still.

It might be the size of the phone, but I'm going to take it to the tmobile store and compare it with the demo unit.

Did Verizon pull a Samsung and remove the WiFi toggle and add that damn notification?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
There is a WiFi toggle, and I think I've managed to disable the constant notification.

I think they mean this:
From what I can tell, it appears every time you connect to a new WiFi network. If you have sleep mode enabled (which means it turns off data and WiFi after not using your phone for awhile), then you'll see this notification multiple times a day.
ah. yeah I get that too
Can anyone tell me what this little icon means? It doesn't have a corresponding item in the notification area.
Is it related to that feature that keeps the screen on when you're looking at it, maybe? Screen shot attached..
Thanks,

That's the smart eye feature built in with the phone on stock or the ROM you are using.. Basically if you're looking at your phone, it will stay on as long as you are looking at it and thus you will see the "eye".
If you want a further explanation let me know. That's pretty much the simplest easiest way to explain it.

Thanks! After I made the image and started writing the post I realized that was likely it. That is what I was trying to describe in my last sentence or two..
Thanks again for the confirmation!

One more question.. Any idea what impact the Smart Eye feature has on battery life? My battery life sucks since the 4.3 update so looking for any way to make it better. Do you think turning this feature off would help?

Turning it off could help a little bit. I found that ever since I have gone up to a 4.3+ ROM, my battery life has been atrocious.

Only in so far as not having your screen helps save battery.
Get better battery stats and check your Wake locks and deep sleep time

In the future when the development section of the m8 well gets more developed will it be possible to turn off the on screen button's and use pie launcher instead. This Q is going thru my head since the m8 launched

They already have it. Use Viper one rom, go into venom tweaks, turn off navigation bar, and turn on pie and set it to the bottom of the screen. I had the exact idea as you and it turns out it works pretty well

Sick man can't wait to scrub some cash and get that phone, was a sammy boy from the start of using android phones, but this year Samsung really disappointed me with s5 it really wasn't enough of a upgrade worth it for me, and I can't wait till the note 4 comes out so I probably gone get the m8
Sent from my GT-I9505G using Tapatalk 2
Another alternative if you don't want to run the Viper ROM is to just root and install Pie over the stock ROM.
I'm currently just using GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys and it works perfectly.
