BEFORE beginning the Unlock Bootloader process your product requires that you update the ROM to the version listed in the table below first, then download the RUU next to it to enable the unlocking capability.
NOTE: If you do not find your ROM version in the table below, and your ROM version is newer, then your device does not require the RUU.
To install the RUU, simply follow these instructions:
1. On your phone, enable USB debugging. (From the Home screen, MENU > Settings > Applications > Development > Check USB debugging)
Connect your phone to the computer using the USB cable that came with your phone. Wait a moment for your computer to identify your phone, this may take a few minutes.
2.If your computer cannot find your phone, you may need to install HTC Sync. You can download HTC Sync http://www.htc.com/www/help/
After your computer has found your phone, double click on the RUU to start the process.
3Follow the on screen instructions to finish flashing the RUU on your phone.
NOTE: If you encounter an error while flashing your phone, it’s possible that the connection to your phone was interrupted. Simply exit the program, disconnect your phone and start over.
Fully exit the RUU to ensure there is no conflict of multiple instances of the program running.
Disconnect the USB cable from both the phone and the computer.
After a few moments, reconnect the USB to the computer and phone. See above if your phone or computer cannot find each other.
Run the RUU.
Disclaimer: You may not be able to get further FOTA updates once the RUU was applied to your device.

My Phone is a HTC Wildfire S A510e (PG76100) Marvel
S-ON
Hboot version - 1.02.0000
Radio - 7.53.39.03M
I Live in South Africa
I'm running Stock(Updated) Android 2.3.5 and HTC Sense 2.1.
As far as I know this Phone is not locked to my Carrier (MTN)
------------------------------------------------
I have been helped by a forum member to validate my token. Thanks __DS__!
------------------------------------------------
Here's a Little Guide to help you unlock your HTC Wildfire S's Bootloader.
THIS WILL NOT S-OFF YOUR PHONE, it will however enable you to use non HTC roms and recovery systems!
The first step is to go to HTC Developer Portal, click on Unlock Bootloader icon.
Now click on Get Started tab that appears after clicking on Unlock Bootloader icon.
Now we recommend that you read through all the content on this page and understand that you are virtually voiding your device’s warranty after getting the bootloader unlocked. (EDIT: Update Your Bootloader by Following this link: Here, It's a relatively straight forward process.)
After you have read through the message from HTC, verify your HTC Wildfire S model. You can verify the model and FOTA by going to Menu > Settings > About Phone.
Once you are confirmed that you have the same device with exactly the same FOTA(EDIT: This step is useless If you followed step 3!). click on Begin Unlock Bootloader on HTC Dev Portal.
In case you aren’t already registered on the HTC Dev Portal, then register and fill the details.
After this you will be given some legal documentation, accept them to proceed.
On the next page, follow the instructions as given in steps.
Remove and reinsert your phone’s battery.
After this, press Volume Down Button and Power Button on your phone together to boot into bootloader mode.
Once you are in the bootloader mode, use Volume button to select Fastboot option and then press power button.
Now connect your phone to the computer via USB Cable that comes with the phone to avoid any unforeseen disruptions.
After you are done, click on the green tab that says “Proceed to Step 5”.
On the resulting page, you will see a Required Resources section on the right column. Download Google Android SDK, Java Runtime Environment and HTC Sync from the links provided.
Install Java RT Environment first followed HTC Sync. You will need HTC Sync only if you are attempting this method on Windows.
Now run SDK Manager.exe
Once SDK Manager is up and running, reject everything else and only install Android SDK Platform tools (Latest Revision).
Once the installation is complete, go to C:\Android-SDK-Windows\Platform-Tools and copy ADB.exe plus ADBWinAPI.dll files and paste them in C:\Android. You will need to make a new folder named Android in C drive.
After this go to C:\Android-SDK-Windows\Patform-tools and copy Fastboot.exe to C:\Android.
Once you are done with all this, open command prompt. Go to Run and type CMD for command prompt.
Also press Proceed to Step 8 On the HTC Dev portal.
In command prompt, type
Code:
cd C:\Android
Press enter
Now Type
Code:
fastboot oem get_identifier_token
Press enter.
As a result, you will get a whole block of text that you need to copy from Identifier Token Start to Identifier Token End. Please make sure to not to copy Bootloader prefixes following each line in the text block.(HINT: Right click, select all, then just select the identifier token from Identifier Token Start to Identifier Token End)
Now scroll down and you will see My Device Identifier Token on HTC Developer portal page.
Paste the text block your copied in My Device Identifier Token Field available.
Now press Submit.
Now you will be on a Process Unlock Key page.
You will recieve an E-Mail from HTC dev with a file named Unlock_code.bin attached. Copy that file to C:\Android. (where we put the Fastboot.exe etc.)
Go back to your CMD window and type in
Code:
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
Hit enter.

I had a problem acquiring the Identification token.
I would get this error in the command line:

This problem is caused by the outdated HBoot.
But I managed to upgrade it to 1.08.0099 by downloading this package: Here.
At the top of the 1.08.0099 HBoot there is a Pink bar [*** Locked (OOW) ***]
That's the only HBoot version that seems to support the get_identifier_token command. If you don't have the pink bar, the bootloader unlocker will not work!
Took me forever to find so please thank me If you use it!
You cannot bypass this step because a code is generated out of your device on the website.
does not look like an HTCDEV error. just check if your browser accepts cookies. delete all cookies from htcdev and try to login again
Thanks for your reply.
I tried it on my M$ Internet Explorer X86 and X64, no luck. I Cleared the cookies in my Firefox 9.01, No luck there either. I recieved a strange error in the error console though
Code:
Error: WebDestroyerChrome.BrowserOverlay is undefined
Source File: chrome://webdes/content/wdPageListener.js
Line: 74
Error: WebDestroyerChrome.BrowserOverlay is undefined
Source File: chrome://webdes/content/wdPageListener.js
Line: 69
Did you by any chance use use Google Chrome when you were going through this bootloader unlocking process? If not, please tell me which Internet browser you were using.
No, I used Firefox. So if the problem persists between browsers it should not be a cokkie issue. can you try from a different pc?
I will Give it a shot tomorrow morning from another PC and update with the results, Thanks For your Time!
Still No luck, even on a different system, I created another account on the Dev site with United Kingdom/Ireland set as my location (Perviously defined as "Other").
Same problem.
I'm starting to think It might just be my ISP. Does the webportal still work for you guys?
try it in another browser, chrome or IE.

Hello !
For those who are already S-OFF (XTC-Clipped or stock S-OFF) and who didn't read the big thread about finding a software S-OFF, you can greatly help us by doing these steps !
If you are willing to help and if your phone is working without any problem with the European stock firmware, you're ready to go !
/!\ Be aware that all your data will certainly be lost in the procedure, so don't forget to do some backups before. /!\
What we need : a dump of the unmapped memory of a S-OFF phone with HBOOT 1.09.0099
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The unmapped memory of the phone is about 8% of the 512MB available on our device. That's where the secu_flag is hiding.
We already compared two dumps of two S-ON phones. The differences were after 0x024c0010 (36,75MB). That means only the last 2MB of the file (which is 38,75MB) is different for the S-ON phones.
We guessed that the secu_flag is certainly in the first 36,75MB part of the dump. So we could easily find it by comparing S-ON/S-OFF dumps !
The procedure is written for Windows users.
0- Backup all your data.
1- Launch RUU_Marvel_S_HTC_Europe_2.13.401.3_Radio_47.23c.35.3037_7.54.39.28M_release_236989_signed.exe
http://www.shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Marvel
2- Launch PG7610000_Marvel_hboot_1.09.0099_2.13.401.3_0210_R.exe
http://www.htcdev.com/ruu/PG7610000_Marvel_hboot_1.09.0099_2.13.401.3_0210_R.exe
Then, you should have HBOOT-1.09.0099 + RADIO-7.54.39.28M.
However, I don't know if you have to go through the HTCDev procedure.
3- Download this archive and unzip it in a folder on your desktop :
http://www.mediafire.com/?jn7c1p8zbqwplni
Launch the Windows Command Prompt (Win+R => cmd) and use the 'cd' command to go in the folder created before.
Start your phone in "Fastboot USB" mode (Power + Vol Down).
Then, use this fastboot command :
Code:
fastboot -c "mtdparts=msm_nand:[email protected](misc),[email protected](recovery),[email protected](boot),[email protected](system),[email protected](cache),[email protected](userdata),[email protected](devlog),[email protected](radio)" boot recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.8-marvel.img
4- Mount your SD card using the Vol Down & Power buttons ("mounts and storage" --> "mount /sdcard").
Then in the Windows Command Prompt :
Code:
adb shell
cat /dev/mtd/mtd7 > /sdcard/radio-soff-hboot1_09_0099.img
5- Zip your dump (the file is at the root of your SD-Card) and send it on mediafire.com. You should use a password and give it to some trusted people who can get something of your dump (no.human.being, theq86, BeciMester).
A lot of thanks for these last three guys for what they are doing to the Wildfire S scene right now !

5. After that it will start porting. Make sure your android device is booted up and is connected to PC with USB Debugging enabled. Then click yes.
6. Wait for 2 minutes it will install the touch recovery automatically for you.
Now you can check your touch recovery by going to recovery mode ( use power + volume down when android is off) . That's All
Caution:Rooting/ Recovery installation is a risky process. Your Device may brick if its wrongly done. Keep your original firmware with you before going to this process to install your firmware in case if you got any problem.

13. cab file must be for OS build version on phone
your cab is NOT FOR build .693! is for .448 build!!!!
download correct cab file from catalog.update.microsoft.com (for search use 000-gb or 000-ru, 000-de..)
when you open download windows, use ctrl F to search for docking... is two files, you download file with CBS in name (not CBSU)

download correct cab file from catalog.update.microsoft.com (for search use 000-gb or 000-ru, 000-de..)
when you open download windows, use ctrl F to search for docking... is two files, you download file with CBS in name (not CBSU)

Thanks, it worked well for my device with the cab provided in my link. Hope your comment will help others! Really thank you
is recommended to use cab file from same build version... maybe you are just lucky but next time watch out
Overview
Many people asked me on telegram how they can unlock their bootloader and flash TWRP, as obvious I helped them but then again few people asked me... I was wondering telling entire steps again and again will waste a lot of time so I decided why not on xda-developers?
So here it is presenting a "Noob way to unlock boot-loader, flash recovery"

Downloads1. ADB Driver 1
2. ADB Driver 2
3. Windows 10 Updater
4. ADB Toolkit
5. TWRP
InstallationsNow it's not hard but still like a manual, I have added this. To install the drivers first and most important is to update Windows to its latest release. Extract .rar/.zip files downloaded from the above download section and go to the ADB Driver 1 & 2 folder and look if there is an executable file like .exe/.bat if yes then run it as admin and all set if there isn't then you may see a setup information well simple look for a file ends with .inf extension. If you find such a file then simply open device manager and click on your PC name for e.g my PC name is MINIX and then click on action tab select add hardware legacy --> Next --> Search and install automatically --> Next --> Show all --> Next --> Have Disk --> Browse and then go to the folder where the .inf/setup information file is located click on it --> Next and then it may pop up something like driver signature verification failed for it just move HERE All set ! But I would suggest to do a windows update check again for proper installing of drivers and then restart.
ProcessNow it's not rocket science! Let's begin!
* Update your phone to latest firmware S232 (Necessary)
* Open ADB Folder
* Copy Downloaded TWRP to ADB folder
* Rename TWRP image to recovery.img
* Move to your mobile turn on USB debugging and OEM unlocking (These options are there in developer option)
* Connect USB (Will pop up some prompt, allow for this pc if still not then revoke USB permission and check back! )
* Run .bat file called as unlock_recovery.bat
----------(Your Phone will reboot into fast boot mode and will start Unlocking process just hit volume up key on your phone when you see a prompt written in small letters)---------
* Now open the cmd/PowerShell in ADB folder itself for that hold shift key and right click will see a prompt with PowerShell/cmd click on that if still confused the go-to address bar and type cmd there. That's its!
* Type the commands one by one has listed :
Code:
fastboot devices
fast boot flash recovery
Now its important that you reboot into recovery for the first time just after recovery flash or else you will need to do entire process again … Now to boot into recovery you will have to hold power key & both volume keys at a time until you see Lenovo logo, then release the power key and volume keys. After the TWRP logo, it will take some time! So wait, but if not boot into recovery do all the process again !
Cheers :good: you have successfully installed TWRP now ! If still not then don't worry drop a replay below so that we can assist you I don't want to make money from this so no donations but still if you want to appreciate my work just hit the small button of :good: That's more than enough for me
Q/A
Q.1 My TWRP is removed after I booted back into the system, now what can I do?
A.1 Well, This is a normal thing caused due to a backup made by system of stock recover and you will have to delete it in order to fully use TWRP for that process is simple to download Aroma File Manager Flash this zip into TWRP recovery and you will see a file manager locate to system folder and in that look for a file called as recovery-from-boot.p and delete this file only /-
