I hate the way when you crop a pic on instagram it crops all the good stuff out. Anyone know of a workaround?

Instagram only does square ratio cropping. If you want more in your picture, you have to put more in your picture when you take the picture. Step back, zoom out.
I use the stock camera while walking around with my daughter (2.5 yrs old Liver Transplant Survivor) on daddy-daughter dates weekly. When I get home, I load them up in my Aviary app, edit them and even crop them square ratio if I am going to upload to IG. Then just import to IG.
Seems more hassle but I feel like I have more control and since I use pictures of her to help promote organ donation and to update her FB page It is worth it imo.

All that app does is shrink the original down and adds a white border. The s3 camera is good enough to put more in the view finder and crop down to the a square ratio essentially zooming in to what you want in IG.
@typxyt no i just used it on a pic that i couldnt use and i was able to post my full pic.

yes would expect that from the app. It shrunk the pic down and squared with a white border.
My point is if to put more distance between you and the object and sue the cropping to blow it up. No white borders. More detail of the actual object you wanted on IG.

Hi everyone, im going to be coming from an iphone 4, while i know this screen is no retina display, does the larger size of the screen negate this, or would the small text appear fuzzy and would need to be zoomed in.

We don't get them down here until Friday. Fingers crossed we don't have any issues and that date holds up. I'm super excited and can't wait to make the switch from iOS to Android.

I believe it was on the android website somewhere. There is a picture displying something that seems to have a 8 inch screen.
Sadly, it's not real, it's the n7 2013. What has happened is that they have added the screen onto the device in post production, it's normal. That is why the display always look so superb and flawless In promotional pictures.
It's just a bad Photoshop job, the display isn't correctly aligned either.
link to an article with an image of it
See how the bezel is thicker on the topmost right side. It is not a nexus 8.
Yes that s the source.
So it s fake?
I would be really, really, REALLY surprised if it wasn't. I can guarantee that this is fake.
Im not sure fake is the word though. More like someone ****ed up at work and made the screen too big.
OK. I see the tablet has been elongated....
The screen has been resized on the top picture. Border is a n7 if we zoom a little.
And with the girl picture, we see it s a n7 elongated.
Photoshop? No.apparently it's an ms paint job
Its not a paint job by social sites...its in andoid site itself
here is the link

scroll the page down and you would see an 8incher... thats true alright...but when it is getting out is the big question

Clearly the images in these two are NOT the same. Photoshop job for sure. The tablet shown on the http://www.android.com/apps-and-entertainment/ page is definitely the N7.

That new image looks just as horrible. Gray smudge marks over the navbar, clearly shopped at her thumb, something around the camera. Gota be the worst of its kind I have ever seen . First the guy gets the size wrong, now this?

Not sure if it's a fake or a mistake, but not an N8 either way. Compare the Flipboard icon from the first picture to the second one. The picture is stretched.
What I want to know is, how on earth can people tell the difference between a 7" and an 8" Nexus at first glance?

I made this one in zooper a while back. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53995697&postcount=233
It all depends on how much Facer improves or whether I learn to design wear faces.

Yeah I have the blue submariner one, the resolution on it is horrible and it's pretty much not usable. Hoping someone does a nice black one.
Edit: Saw someone posted up a black one, it's not bad. I think they took of off of the gearfaces square one as the minute markers are still square and it doesn't look great on the round face. The hour markers are also spaced out a bit too much and are under that angled glass around the perimeter which distorts them making the face look weird.
Something to play with, maybe I'll load PS up and see what I can do.
Would this be possible as a watch face?

I have one and enjoy it. The red line is stagnant and the clock rotates around it.

Cool, thanks. Yeah I do. I don't know if this is possible on Android wear, but the actual watch (the one I linked) has three discs that rotate. The first disc (the seconds hand) rotates constantly, the other two (the minute and hour hand) rotate accordingly. Sorry if that was too obvious.

Its totally doable with facer on android wear. The tough part is going to be finding that exact font. How attached are you to it?
I think I have one that is similar but not that exact one.

Thank you both, each of the watch faces looks great! One thing I did notice, on the actual watch the seconds dial (only) rotates the opposite way and the hours dial gradually progresses towards the next hour (within the hour). Other than that, great job!
Would a Movado watch face be too much too ask?

This is the spot you're talking about right? I highlighted it by circling and drawing an arrow. It's interesting it's not in your panoramic pic multiple times but maybe it's getting cropped out. Is it in that spot only while holding the phone vertically and then moves when taking a pic horizontal?

It appears in all pictures but doesn't appear multiple times in pano. Actually never observed that in a long pano. When I spoke with a Google executive, he mentioned he cannot help as I was using a beta version. He asked me to revert to 8.1 and see if the issue still persists...I haven't tried it yet
When I take a picture and the background is solid, I see a small, gray circle as I focus, and when I take the picture, it is in the picture. Any thoughts as to where this is coming from and what to do about it? I cleaned the lens, but it's still there. If I can figure out how to add a picture, I'll post one so you can see what I'm seeing. The photos are on my laptop if you can tell me how to post them on here. Thanks so much!

Looks like a dead pixel on the screen. About all you can do is RMA it.
its very possible you have dust on the inside of the camera glass cover, or even on the lens itself.
is the blotch always in the same spot relative to the picture dimensions?
