stock 4.2 apps on XXDLL7

Hello,
I'm running Omega 10 rom and I was wondering if it is possible to have stock android 4.2 apps like dialer, people, messaging, clock,calculator,camera, and gallery without having to flash AOSP rom? In addition I would love a notification panel and lockscreen android 4.2 like or normal jellybean one.

Look in the at&t section for MyRom by almino. He has a gapps package with the camera gallery and calendar, maybe some other things. Photosphere works at least

I know but I want to stay in a TW based ROM due to S-Pen functionality and better overall Camera. Thanks anyway mate

There is a theme for that. .and camera and gallery apps are also available... search in themes and apps section
scribbled from my note 2 (N7100)

Look for a firmware. Jellybam was one of them.

(Q) Tablet ui rom

Hey,
I am searching a rom with tablet-ui but not with cm10 rom but one with touchwiz on it.. I have searched note 2 roms but none of them got a tablet ui on android version 4.1.2 and touchwiz fw..
Any help is welcome.

Note: If this does not work on your ROM please contact your ROM developer. It works for me and many others. I can not support this on all ROMs as each dev does things different and they probably broke or removed something needed for this to work.

Am i missing a step? Stock ROM 4.1.1 att s3 and when i flash through CWM i get samsung keyboard has stopped working. Sorry for being obtuse.

If your stock.... are you still odex or is the ROM deodex? This mod is ment for deodex ROM's I suppose I should mention that in the OP. If your still odex you can try renaming the corresponding odex file to .bak clear data from the keyboard and restart the phone

working fine on stock 4.1.1..

I started a thread in the t-mobile forums with themes Note2 KB... They should be compatible with att as well.

I've Googled this and I can't find anything helpful, but I thought I remembered hearing that the stock TouchWiz keyboard on Jelly Bean had a Swype/4.2 like feature with the gesture dragging. Is this true?

That's the android 4.2 keyboard on nearly all touchwiz ROMs.

the 4.2 keyboard is on the 4.2 TW roms. as far as 4.1 TW roms, if the 4.2 keyboard has been included, it will be listed on the thread as one of the rom features.
when i got my AT&T S3, it had swype included on it. i dont know if thats a feature included on any of the stock firmware here on the forum.

Now that I have the GS3, I'll answer my own question: the stock Samsung keyboard has gesture typing like the Android 4.2 keyboard.

Clearly you didn't read it. The stock one has borked mms. Simply if you need or want to send mms, just use the stock app on your phone. Receive will work fine if you have automatic receiving of mms enabled.
This is a lovely theme that many people love so giving them the option even with borked mms is worth it. Most people don't send mms every message. Perhaps you do. If so it's not for you! Sorry!

Is there a way to turn off/disable 160 character split? I'm surprised people still want this as a feature.

You're using the wrong one. People! Please refer to the post. You can't use the AOSP versions on stock. The stock one is specifically for stock and AOSP specifically for AOSP. And specific to its android version!

You have to modify the apk and people use it because SMS is 160 characters not 400+ like GSM carriers use. It's best to keep it this way for everyone. Don't like it? Send mms!

Stock works on any ROM. What ROM are you on sir? Perhaps your ROM has some weird setup?

Thanks. I can now confirm PA isn't playing well with it. Not sure why. I can try to theme the PA apk in the same way. If anyone is interested. You use the stock version for the time being.
I'll see if I can theme the PA apk tomorrow.
