Hi all
I have a problem with WiFi when I upgraded to JB .200 or .211
It doesn't work or when it's worked it doesnt find any network.
If I remove sim card or turn on airplane mode it work correctly.
this problem in Syria & Iran.
I try wififix app but no change.
It work very nice on ICS
please help me
I'll try to help, but first I need more information. What device do you have? Are Is it rooted?

I have new ARC SO-01C. Currently its version is 2.3.2, very old ROM. I want to upgrade it.

Opps, nobody have did this .
I have tried this morning. I can flash & runing. Wifi can connect but can not connect internet . So I'm come back to Docomo ROM.

Bro..most of the people here own international models of Xperia Arc.May be that's the reason you didn't get a positive response.
Try Japanese forums..they might help

xperia acro s wifi problem after update

when i update my phone with Sony PC Companion from 6.1.a.2.45 to 6.1.a.50 , the wifi dose not work and there is no conection betwean phone and wifi modem!!!!!!
i install 5 several rom (6.1.a.2.45 or 6.1.a.2.50 or 6.1.a.2.55 -- arabic or france) with flash tools but after restart , wifi dose not work, and there is no conection betwean phone and wifi modem.
in flash tools i chek all wipe`s and after installing rom i resert the phone whit "reset to factory".
i think there is a problem betwean wifi and sim card !!! when i insert sim to phone then wifi go out!!!!????
for this problem i should root the phone and install "wifix manager" but it some time dose not work right !!! and i dont like this kind of working
any one can help me?????????

I Tried Alot Of JB Roms (PACman , Paranoid , AOKP , SlimBean ) But I Always Ended Being Disappointed Because Of A WiFi Problem In All Of Them ... I tried Lupusv8 and turbu kernels but the same happened ... iflashed wifi moduls for lupus and nothing changed .
- The Problem : When I turn on wifi , it searches and find all nearbies wifi networks , but when i put the password and press Connect >>> It Says "Not In Range" even i am near the router !
PLZ Help Is This A Bug Or It Only Happened On My Phone ??????

flash the original image of your xperia play, flash doomlord or lupus and flash the wifi modules, the reason being is that all the markers will be reseted back to the original
I have same problem but in pac MAN and aokp ther is an option in advance(Wi-Fi region code)if you put it to United state you can connect to any wireless network

sony fix the wifi for .211 BUT does that change anything for CM ??????

In stock .200 or .211 the wifi in syria does not work even if u change the wifi code.
You can remove the syrian sim or activate the airplane mode to make it work.
In custom roms cm10 or cm10.1 changing the wifi code solve the problem, I am using slim bean and changed the the code to USA to turn it on.

yes .. i.m using xperia s jb 211 .. no way to use wifi before activated airplane mode:crying:

in slim bean 6.2 just once but pac rom v23 every time after reboot.

I have xperia ion , and i flash the stock firmware 211 rooted , and i face wifi problem when i insert Syria sim i follow many steps but no luck , and finally follow this solution http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2398496 ,
i have changed the wpa_supplicant and it's work and now i can connect to the WIFI , but my problem the wifi is didn't connect automatically when i change my place "EX: work to home " is still connect to work network . in other word my wifi is still connected to the first router even i must turn off & on WIFI .

Oh 211 fw has issues in some countries, try using the .96 port,.i think you will need a unlocked bootloader
