So there are a few threads here about different cases "in stock", but nothing is actually "in stock" and ready to be shipped.
If you find a case SPECIFIC to the 2nd gen Nexus 7 that we can buy now and have it ship within a day please post it below. Prime eligible would be best!
Please refrain from generic 7" travel or sleeve type cases as I'm sure anyone looking for one of these can go anywhere and buy one now.

I'm with you. I'm surprised there aren't the usual $5 TPU cases on eBay even that I always find when a new device comes out. I always tend to use something like that for the 1st few weeks/months until better options come out. But I cannot find anything worth buying that available locally or online and actually in stock and shipping now.

I ordered the official Asus travel case and its on a UPS truck to me right now. I am only planning on using it until better cases are available, since it apparently is not very good.

My girlfriend is going to France for three weeks on the 4th and is going to take the Nexus with here, there's no way I'm letting her take it without a case and screen protector. So, I ordered the SUPCASE Folio case yesterday, I didn't notice that it says "Usually ships within 4 to 5 days." Expected ship date isn't until Monday, the day after she leaves and I can't easily cancel the order, so I sent them an email saying that unless they can ship it ASAP, I want the order canceled. I already have a Poetic case ($3.95, free shipping) ordered that's not shipping until the 9th, I wouldn't have ordered a second case unless I needed it sooner, so I put in an order for the i-Blason case. None of the cases are Prime eligible, so hopefully I can get that shipped before Saturday... and hopefully I don't end up with three cases.

I think it's going to be hard to find any good cases shipping now. I'm guessing these third party manufacturers did not get any early access to the device, so they're designing and mass manufacturing the cases as we speak. If anything I'd be weary of buying any case that actually is shipping now as it's probably a rush job and won't fit the device perfect. Just my 2 cents.

None of them ship till 8/21. Were there some other cases for the new Nexus 7 that you found on there that I'm missing? This thread is for cases that are shipping right now.

Not perfect but I mostly want something to protect my Nexus 7 while in transport in my laptop bag to and from work.

If anyone wants a little protection before their real cases get shipped... try FiveBelow, Big Lots, & Dollartree.
I first got me a 7" tablet sleeve from Dollartree but went into 5Below yesterdya and I got a generic 7" folio that fits the new nexus pretty good for $5.
I also saw some cheap tablet sleeves/cases at BigLots.
It will do the trick until my Moko and TPU hardshell case get here.

Anyone buy eBay Cases??

There are so many good cases sadly not available in Canada and if they are they are overly priced with shipping. So I have to resort to ebay.
So I'm wondering if anyone has bought the below cases?
Case One - For the price its seems like a good deal, but it has an extra flap that wraps around the back and I think thats going to come in the way when using the tablet.
Case Two - Seems like a copy of the MoKo slim case but it looks good.

The first case looks pretty good and only $1.95 CDN shipped. Might pick one up to try it.

I got the new N7 two weeks ago from EEUU, and now, just few days left to spanish release, where I'm from, there's still no portfolio cases available in my country.
I'd like to buy Poetic Slim because I don't feel comfy with leather frame ones at all, I'm touching it every moment when I slide my fingers on the tablet corners, and the MoKo is too expensive now (about 25$ now, I saw days ago at 0.99$.. lol).
I am looking for a folio case at 20 bucks or less shipped which have wake/sleep, slim finish and no frame... and all ebayers wants to cheat me about 15-20$ for 14-21 days shipping plus 15$ for 10$ amazon case (yeah I know stock problems but what a way to speculate), while DBrand "robots" sent the decal I bought from Canada for 3$ and arrived in ONLY 4 DAYS by ordinary mail :silly:
What do you recommend me? Wait till spanish release or try the second 7$'s one which seems like MoKo?

I got a couple cases from eBay. I've already received the S Line TPU case, which I paid less than $4 shipped for. I also won an auction for a white folio case which was around $1.50 with free shipping from China! Not expecting much, but I'll update when I receive it. Today was day 16, an the seller told me 10-20 days. I'm expecting it Tuesday, since Monday is a holiday.

I got my eBaY TPU s-line case today..Purchased it last Aug.29 for $4.99 shipped. its pretty snug and fit very well with all the ports all cut clean.
I like the matte finish with glossy on the back and the textured side of this case. i choose a solid white color than the transparent one. but i hope that this case stay clean and white.
after installing my extremeguard screen protector here it is.

I will always suggest Poetic Slimline. It has 3 year warranty!

EBay accessories

Chinese vendors seem to be the only ones prevalent on EBay. Problem I have with them is 4-6 weeks delivery. Any one knows US based vendors?

Chinese phone, Chinese vendors only for accessories, so far anyways. Give it a while, there may be more options in the future. I ordered a couple of cases off eBay the other day. I don't mind waiting a month.

I don't have an answer to the OP, but I also purchased accessories on eBay. Amazon.ca/com and any American based retailers don't seem to show any Find 7 goodies as of yet.

I ordered a 9H glass screen protector and matte slim case from eBay. Can't wait for the slow boat from H.K. to arrive.

Yeah, I ordered a couple of accessories on Ebay too, A back case, a flip cover, and a tempered glass screen protector. Hopefully the 7a arrives before they do.

I ordered some slim premium cases for the phone and they actually came in about a week. The fit was a little of though, it seems like it was too small for the phone.
I also ordered the glass screen protector and it is awesome. Definitely worth the money.

Had to reorder my case cause the one they send from HK or China X9007 has slightly different dimensions than our X9006. They gladly obliged to send me set of two with no cost whatsoever.

Got the same issue here in the UK, cases I want are like £2-4 delivered from China, but someone has bought bulk in the UK and wants £9 for it, so they can go do one. I ordered a transparent one similar to the imak case from China a few weeks back so it'll be here soon. I'm just scared of taking the phone out of my pocket every day, waiting... patiently.

I ordered this from eBay. It's still not here yet and I ordered it on the 6th so I can't tell you what it's like.
I put on a tempered glass screen protector, tore off the one that they put on. They fitted extremely well but it's garbage, especially compared to the glass protector which now just looks and feels incredible.

For a few case+color combination it works out cheapest. I got the Armor to complement the ultra slim for when I'm more knock-about traveling.

If I didn't already have 8 cases for my N5, I'd consider another one. But the red Slim Armor case does look good.

Red, white, gray is $25 pre-discount, I bought black $15 pre-discount, after discount add tax, free postage, is $12.14 my out-of-pocket . I own a red N5 so there's a dash of red visible
I've kept my N4 in a dual-layer rubber inner, more stiff outer for 18 months and taking it out I see the only damage is the scratches around fumbling in the usb power. I later got a wireless base charger,so my new N5 should look even better used when I sell it.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but aren't spigen cases normally around 20% lower on Amazon?

No actually. e.g. nexus 5 spigen armor cheapest on Amazon is $17+tax + postage (which you can avoid with Prime or bundling with other items) but I got that case Spigen for total $12 delivered, so ...cough, if someone wanted such a case they can it cheaper today than Amazon do every day.
You're right normally and why I posted this today as its true valid and useful for others today.

You're right I just checked. Normally though the slim armor was 25 on spigen's site and 18 on amazon so with the 25% off it would be the same price approx. However, I didn't notice spigen lowered their price to 15.

I've owned a few tudia cases before. Decent quality. This case appears to offer a bit more protection around the screen edges.

It's one of four cases available now on Amazon: The Cruzerlite circuitry-patterned bit of kitsch (which I wouldn't want), the Tudia, the Nillikin and the Spigenesque aluminium bumper by DayJoy (which probably wouldn't protect the phone nearly as well as a neo-hybrid). I'm torn between the Nillkin, the Tudia and the Diztronic (since the Tudia won't ship until mid-August and the Diztronic should be out before then).

I got the nillikin. It's nice and slim but slippery. I find it tiring to hold. Maybe I should use my phone less.

I called the new egg seller an he said only after Aug 4

Wondering which is better, the diztronic or this tudia case. Basically which case will give me the best protection of the two.

Tudia is thicker from the looks of it

This case looks like it offers proper protection but has anybody found it on a site that offers international delivery and has stock?

Ordered the Tudia.......Hell, it's only $10......we'll see......

My wife has a tudia case on her Nexus 5. It was slimmer than my Ditztronic. However, this one is different in design so it's not apples to apples.
I'm very curious what the actual thickness is...

I made an order for the TUDIA case a few days ago when it was listed in stock on Newegg. I just got a shipping notification from them today, stating that my package order went through is ready to be shipped. Thing is, most people are saying that the case isn't being sold until the 4th of August. Not sure if it's too good to be true that it's shipping early, or if it's going to ship the day the case is officially released.

It was from that exact same seller, and this was the reply they sent me:
Thank you for contacting us about this issue. The case will not ships until August 4th. If we do get it earlier than August 4th, we may ship it earlier.
Because there was a miscommunication between production and sales department, our team have it set as in stock on Newegg. The listing is now taken off from newegg, I'm sorry for the confuse.
Please let me know if you would like to proceed with the order.

I bolded the statement where they say they may ship out the cases before the actual release. I already have my tracking number and the electronic notification from USPS, but my package has not been sent out just yet. I figure it's a sign that they already have the cases in their inventory. I'll update my shipping status if anything changes on Friday.

I like clear but every single clear TPU I've used turns yellow after a little bit.

Newegg is accepting orders for the Tudia cases.

Nope they do not ship to Greece. So basically the Diztronic and Tudia cases are unavailable for alot of us. They do not ship to major markets like Germany or India, etc...
