I made a much larger themed clock thread back in the Galaxy Nexus forums, I don't plan on making nearly as many this time around, but if there are any styles there that catch anyone's eye, post here and I'll see what I can do for you The Mondaine styles were by far the most popular and also my personal favorite, so I decided to make those again for the larger screen size.
This flashable ZIP will replace your stock DeskClock apk with the themed version seen in the screenshots. It's a very clean, classic style that I think looks great on any device (Apple agrees, they aped this style for the iPad clock a while ago). I've owned a Mondaine watch for years now and it's no doubt my favorite (see comparison shot below).
1. Download one of the ZIP's above.
2. Flash in recovery.
3. Enjoy your new clock.
I've only tested it on deodexed ROM's, but it might work on odexed if you delete the DeskClockGoogle.odex file after flashing. The app could FC or you might have some wonky behavior, but if you flash on odexed ROM's and it works, please share.
Make sure you have a backup version of the DeskClock apk either in the ROM you're using or by saving the version on your device.

I think we're always interested in new theme's/widgets Keep em coming... I personally don't like analog clock unless it's on my wrist, but nothing against your mod, it looks really really well done. :good:
Thanks, I'm actually the same way mostly. I don't use the analog homescreen widget myself anymore, but I keep the themed in-app clock to match my wrist.
Anyone is welcome to request any of the many styles I made in my Galaxy Nexus thread, I'll start re-creating some of the more popular ones from that thread over here. None of them are nearly as complicated as the Mondaines, just different colors/backgrounds, etc.

First time i extract the apk, put it in system/app and give it permission RW-R-R :good: then i made also a flashable zip for my n7

Thanks, I couldn't remember if I had used a device-specific binary or not The APK should be more or less universal, it has all the same images from other (lesser) display types.
Your flashable zip work also on nex7 2012. Apk is the same in all android devices in this way i mod the phasebeam apk. Take a look:

I should make it clear that I also included a zip file called extras that has the multiple wallpapers and 48 extra icons to use if you have BetterCut. I use bettercut to customize icons you see on the homescreen that are not system apps. I like everything matching, so I did that.

Thank you very much, I noticed that and I was very glad. I mean they'd look good and all with any other wallpapers and such but to get the full effect its nice to use it with the wallpapers I included.

Wassup Prash I was wondering if you can help me with a problem I'm having on changing .APK file icons to the way I want it, in particular your System Force Theme, it's my favorite but I want to change some things and add to missing apps. with the icon pack included to match everything. One of the main problems I'm having is two errors I keep getting. One is when I rename the .APK file extension to .ZIP in order to open it (It says if you change file ext. the file may be unusable) and the other is when I'm done changing icons and I resign the .APK and put it back in the update.zip I get an error saying the .zip is corrupted...Thanks for your time & help or anybody that helps...Peace.

good job on this... but just as a heads up, you should probably add a screen shot of the clock it does come with or mention in the op that the "hero" style clock seen can be downloaded from the market. a lot of people are going to wonder why its not in the theme by default...

i dont use the htc keyboard i use better keyboard but i am goin to get one made for those that want it or you can check with Beagz he makes them custom

You really shouldn't be putting that "extra" file in there, as it is a paid app. That is against policy to do this.

I modded some of the stock apps included in the BAT/Black Android Theme for JVT/JW1 made by menomenic
APPS:
Phone.apk: i changed the contact image back to normal size,which is handy if you use only google contacts thumbnails,which are compressed,so in lower resolution. they become really ugly with the big portrait option.
then i reworked the call controls,the interface results cleaner and more userfriendly,at least in my opinion
Contacts.apk: the one included in BAT is not really smooth while scrolling (of course after images loading) so i themed the one included in my rom [xxJVT] which is buttersmooth.
DialerTabActivity.apk: here i changed the dialertab numbers with the ones from ICS,in grayscale,to match the theme.
Mms.apk: i themed this mod so now you have SMS + No contact limit + No MMS convert + Sent time in BAT style

Any tutorial or can you simply tell which files in SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk you have changed so I can keep my theme and have this mod?

its only in the systemui!
but i edited the Status_bar_recent_panel.xml in layout-land and layout-port
and the status_bar_recent_background.xml wich is the drawable map
i will place a tutorial when i have some time!

I'm not expert but I had played around with the multitask when I'm using Nexus S.
I learnt something from the tutorial by evilisto's, the WP7 style/stock browser tab/chrome browser tab multitask
In order to get better preview image, something should be modified in the framework-res.apk
I made my own version too
Actually I'm just too lazy to look into your zip so I ask you the exact files you edited and it saves my time

What I mean is the quality of app preview image, the version you made can be improved, only two values need to be modified in framework-res.apk
The version I made is for Nexus S and I just got my Galaxy Nexus few days ago, may work on it and share when it's done
In my opinion l, to personalize anything in Android, the first priority is to make it more convenient, in this case, the multitask
* Maximize the number of app previews in the screen for fast switching with less chance to slide and search
* Maximize the size of app previews and we can distinguish them with ease
* The above two points oppose to each other so there is balanced point
By following this policy, it's better design a theme to match the best layout instead of modifying the layout to match the theme

But i must agree with you but in this case it wasnt my purpose
To do that.. i just made a theme to an option that was already there
ORIGINAL JELLYBEAN FONT MODDED FOR REGULAR/BOLD
Update Aug 6 - Taking user requests for custom fonts !
* Added Version 4 - Copy of Ver2 but Bold is more Bolder
I have edited the original JellyBean font file to include the same font as Bold instead of the Roboto. It makes the interface very clean and consistent across all apps.
There are 3 versions of the font pack (see attached screenshot). I personally prefer v2.
1. Regular weight font has been thickened 15%
2. The same regular font has been used to create the Bold font hence the consistency !

I am not going to create an apk just to install fonts
You can extract the fonts from this zip and use any font changer (which works with ICS) to change/restore as you please.
On another thought, if you just want to be able to restore. Extract all fonts from /system/fonts and then create a copy of my zip. Using any zip program (preferably WinRAR), just drag your existing fonts into the fonts directory of the zip and rename to Restore, etc. Voila .. you 2 zips now .. one with Jelly Bean font and one to restore back ... You can mix match as you please, of course. Hope it helps.

If you need to have matching regular and bold fonts like I did for Jellybean one , please reply and attach the "Regular" font for which you would like custom editing... you can specify mod requests like thinning and thickening, etc. also ...
Turnaround usually would be an hour or so during Singapore daytime!

basically I like your moded regular Jelly bean font ( by 15% thicker) but the bold font looks less "bold" than it used to be
So I requesting u to re-edit your version 2 pack, please edit the bold font to make it looks more thicker! ( I think +30% is Ok). that's all my request..
