Seems that way. Not overly worried there are already un-official ones out there. Would be nice to have them but whatever. Eventually HTC released them when Googles pulled the same crap on the Nexus 1, so maybe ASUS will *leak* some for us.

Jb source code isn't even out yet.
Sent from a thingymajig that sends things.
Even when its released, I dont think you could get the 25$ credit, mainly because I'm pretty sure thats piracy.
I just ordered my nexus 7 I can't wait!!!!

Hashcode has already said he will start working on a ROM for the fire when the source code is released in mid-July. I am good with that.

Why not wait?

All of the ROMs are the best for somebody. You just have to find out which one is best for you. It's a DIY project by nature.

This is true
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
well, yeah, that's what I feel like writing, because it's such a pointless question. you want to know what people use more? check number of pages of every rom thread and you'll know what most people are using. same with kernels. then read those threads, get the device, and enjoy flashing from day 1 you get the device, already knowing before hand what is it that you can expect (approximately, since, most of all, every device is different) from X release of X rom or kernel.
not to mention that must be there like lot's of threads on this theme, and that's it's a rather subjective/personal one.

New nexus- Galaxy Nexus II or LG Optimus G

Just read a rumour that we will get a new nexus device within 30 DAYS!! With an software update of 4.2 which will be called jelly bean only or maybe key lime pie.
Very excited about the new device.. Hope it's true
Also it may be announced as nexus 5 on the 5th android birthday on November 5.
Rumours all around the place!!

Android is actually closer to 9 years old if you go back to the original Android, Inc forming. And on November 5, 2007 Google (who bought Android, Inc) unveiled Android. So by my calculations the 5 year of anniversary of that is coming soon.
While I would love the next nexus to be based of the lg I highly doubt it will.
The hw in it is just to new.
The surprise of a lifetime. Apple releases the next nexus device... triple booting 4.2, iOS, and Windows 8.

I read somewhere the new Nexus will have 4.1.2 and 4.2 Key Lime Pie will be for 2013
Please only HTC or Sony.

I've heard the same rumors and the latest ones haven't had much mention of Sony.
I love the gnex despite its minor flaws, but I wouldn't mind seeing HTC or LG taking the next nexus just because samsung has had the last 2. Supposedly there are going to be multiple models. I would think a phablet and another phone. Hopefully no more than that though.

I think you misunderstand what side loading is doing.
Side loading is running the exact same install as ota. The difference is whether you let the tablet automatically download and install, or you manually download and install.

Nope, I sideloaded, kept all my data. Like said earlier, you are literally initiating the same process as the OTA, except you are starting the process, instead of waiting for Google to give you the green light.
