[Q] Sound during call sounds like loudspeaker - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Dear Community,
I experience a strange problem with my Xperia Arc S using Zelly Cream 3.0.1 ROM.
During any phone call both the caller and the callee hear each other like we are on
handsfree but we are not - the sound is like overgained or powered like in handsfree.
Do anybody experience this like me? Do anybody have an idea how to eliminate this?
Thank you for the answers.
(PS: I cannot write to the ROM thread, although I am registered for a while I had no problems for which I did
not found solution with the search engine so I have not got enough posts to post to a dev thread.. sorry.)

Please Help!!!

I call upon all the wise men of the XDA-forum, and all the gods above,
please, please, please, please, please for the love of life and trinity,
can someone find out how in gods name do you increase the volume level this little otherwise (almost) perfect gadget produces, i tried all registry tweaks i could find in the forums and NADA, nothing works...
PLEASE, OH GREAT WISE MEN OF THE FORUM, HEED MY PRAYER... HELP!!!
no one?! all hope is gone...
reflash with one of the "official" ROMS - no volume problems
yes, but then of course i wont have wm6... and what if im extra deaf? must be a way to registry play with the volume...
but thanks for the input anyway, its the thought that counts
Try the PDAViet ROM - fast clean - based on "official" ROM apparently - and sound is loud and clear for me.

To Mun_rus and developers

Hi, I used to use your last ROM (Indigo) which works perfectly. I particulary loved the loud volume which is very interesting for those who use the trinity as an mp3 player.
My question is: Is it possible to get such high volume with all roms (reg edit?patch?)? I use last FAMAN ROM which is perfect for me but i would be even better with a louder volume.
If you take a look at the Sony Ericsson phones, some developers manage to change the sound drivers. The result is that the owners can change the audio drivers and get louder sound or with more bass.... Is that possible with our pocket pc? If we look at the possibility of a pocket pc which is offers more than a simple sony ericsson phone, it should be possible i hope. I really wish we could do that cause i have been able to test the difference on a sony ericsson with the different sound drivers and the result is impressive
up.............
No one know???No one interested?
Hello Flashmp3,
I know, I know, I'm not a Dev. But, as a user who has been on this board for a while, I felt the need to respond to this.
What you are asking, has been asked (from what i've seen) around 150-200 times in various threads. Quite a simple search, or even perusing the boards would have revealed this to you. But, being the cold hearted idiot that i am, I'll answer this question for you. Also, as a tip, bumping 2 times in a day will not get you answered any faster, imo.
No one has found an answer through registry modification. I've tried. Plenty. So has everyone else. From what i can tell, the general consensus is that a .dll has to be modified, or its a hardware limitation. I haven't seen any .dll patches, fixes or mods for the trinity at _all_.
Why not give it a shot yourself? Get a ROM kitchen, Dump a ROM, use Reshacker on the dll's and start hacking. Do some research. Don't limit yourself to what others have found out already by taking their own brave steps.
I apologize if I've come off as an Asshat, but there is so much info available to you with a few simple keywords and one click of your mouse.

I had tried to search but as I had seen no result I posted the new thread. I understand why there was no answer to my question
It is too bad cause
-users of sony ericsson have managed to do it altough it is a device not as evoluated as our HTCs
-Mun-rus has apparently managed to do it cause his INDIGO ROM is really louder that any one else...
Anyway thanks for your answer

voice annoucement for caller ID

Hello again
And again I have a question - is there application that would speak me the name of the person calling me? I mean that if John calls me it would ring, ring.. john.. ring, ring
Voice Command does not work on X1 for this feature
Voice2go is useless too, because when it launches it takes over my speaker, and only after turning it off manually it can speak normally. beseide of that - i rly do not like that app :/
So can anyone give some advice?
Would verry appreciate!
Thx in advance,
Mayyhem84

I may be wrong but I think that voice for caller announcement has never worked with WM6.1...
True - it did not worked :/
There was a trick on forum, that made it work on some ROM's - the needed to disable skins for phonepad and it worked.
But it does not makes the trick for me :/
Any more sugestions
it works.
did you check the box in the options to use it on the speaker too?
otherwise it works with the headset only (didn't try that).
but you have to disable the dailer skin either way.
ps: there is a thread about that already which is half a year old or something (-> search).

Thanks for the replies!! But c'mon guys I would not start a new thread if that would work for me.. I like search button very much
Yeap, I've disabled the option in Advanced Configuration Tool:
Phone -> Phone skin: Disabled.
And it did not worked... I've made the use speaker too option enabled.
So is there any program that really can do it?
Besid the fact that both - xperia and WM dialer is ugly as hell :/ I prefer really the Phonex one
Thanks in advance!
You can record voice announcement and assign to contact : )
U mean make a ringtone for every one and subscribe them to their own tone??
deamn... i have over 300 contacts
But still - that is some idea rly nice and funny as hell
Some more advices? Would be great
oh.. guys.. heeelllll... I am searching and can't find any sollution

You expected more? Try it yourself. That is what we do here, we try things even if there is no promise it will work. Not to mention not many have the headset that came with the HD2.
