[MOD][grouper][4.3 JWR66V][DEODEX only!] Stausbar & Navbar transparency + Battery %
Hey xda user´s ,
i really love the 4.3 stock rom but i came from an custom rom with the ability to change the navbar color to transperent and change the battery icon and on stock it is black and it dosent have a battery %. so i decided to make an mod.
actually I've created this just for me, but I thought I share it with the community
Works only on deodexed stock 4.3 jwr66v
Transperent Nav & Statusbar
Instructions:
Flash the transparent_navbar zip in twrp or cwm without an cache wipe and Enjoy!
You dont like it? No problem flash the stock_navbar zip with twrp or cwm
Notice!: this mod works only with apex or nova launcher

No it dosent work.
You need a deodexed ROM. I can send you some links with guides how to make it.

after deodex my rom...followed all the instructions yet was not able to get the transpirancy in my device
i use nexus 7 3g android version 4.3
please help...or if u could make one for me that will be very help ful...thankyou

Anyways, this won't work for me because I have ADW Launcher, which I believe to be superior to all other launchers.

Hello guys, i'm still new in universal flasher script so please backup your phone first.
I have test this in Stock and Custom JB ROM and its working just fine
How to install:
1. Reboot into Recovery
2. Install Mod
3. Reboot into your phone
No need to wipe anything.

are you using aosp JB release? because i notice that Universal flasher doesn't work with aosp release, it's known issue.

I think, not 100% sure that you have to mount system in twrp for it to flash.
EDIT nope mounted system and did NOT work on twrp.............

Not working
I flashed it using pure cm9 and paranoid android. At cm9 my status bar dissapear after flashing either transparent and battery mods. But at paranoid nothing happens

i've just tested this mod on cm9 alpha 8 and it works perfectly.
if it doesn't work check some things:
-have cm9 alpha 7/8 installed
-have system theme
-try to start from the "pure" SystemUI.apk, not a modded one
-after the installation of the apk, open the app "battery bar settings" and check if the bar is enabled

EDIT: i've understand only now XD if you flash another mod after mine, mine won't work because the other mod will delete mine and viceversa

if you overwrite SystemUI.apk with a mod the effect of mine mod will disappear now i will build a new version with also the transparency and after that i will post it here

you can restore back your old system ui by going in to sdcard / universal flasher / and here u have your backup

Buddy this mod is only for custom/deodexed roms , if you go back to recovery mode and then search the universal flasher folder inside you will find a flashable .tar file , select that and you will be back to the orignal systemui

I test the mods and use revert to stock to revert back !!!

Which mod did you try ?
Hi chotu... I tried speedometer but systemui crashed... After that tried to flash RevertToStock.Zip got boot loop... N i think there is something wrong with the RevertToStock.zip... It shows hide status bar/full screen app in cwm when i tried to flash it... Pls check.

I compiled a zip ready to flash changing the battery icon to numbers in Android 4.3. It works in stock JWR66V 4.3 rooted and odexed, don't know if it does in other conditions.
Since I was asked for, I'm posting as attachments a Galaxy Nexus version for 4.3 JWR66V and the source image files.

Don't think so, I would need your SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk to make a compatible zip.

Make a NANDROID and try flashing the file in your deodexed device, it should work. Otherwise, you can send me your SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk and I will make a flashable zip for you to try.

I tried it, but had to restore my nandroid because it didn't work. In the attachement you'll find the deodexed framework-res.apk en systemUI.apk

installed the odex stock look with numbers in it, but the icons are smaller than the original stock ones, looks horrible.

Icons should be exactly like the ones in the image in the first post. Maybe some DPI issue?

Can you make a flashable zip for 4.3 official deodexed build? It's the percentage next to stock battery icon. I'd just decompile SystemUI but couldn't get apktool set up on my laptop after I factory restored it.

I have been looking for a mod like this since I got my Nexus 4 last month. Now off to find a mod for the am/pm statusbar clock :fingers-crossed:
I tried making a new set, bit when my phone is in charge, battery get wrong dimensioni... Any hint, please?
