I tried installing the newest Paranoid Android version today, and after booting into it, I had to use the setup wizard. When I pressed the right arrow, the screen went black and the message "Unfortunately Settings Has stopped Working" popped up. I could not leave the wizard and was forced to restore. I followed the directions to flash it exactly and attempted it many times aswell, each time it gave the same result. This was for version 3.93 on Android 4.3 with PA's 4.3 Gapps. Is there any fixes to this?

Have you read even the last 5 pages of the thread??? or gone to their G+ page to see?
I don't see why people won't take the time to read through the roms thread but will to make a new thread and read through the replies.

Hi guys,
Today I installed AOKP Milestone (Last version) + Franco Kernel last version Milestone, on my GSM Galaxy Nexus.
However, as I understood, I need to flash the Gapps right after flashing AOKP without rebooting to ICS, and just after flashing AOKP + GAPPS, I can proceed with the first reboot to ICS.
Unfortunately, I already did the first reboot, without installing the Gapps, as I couldn't find anywhere Gapps.
Can I flash Gapps anyway now? And where do I find them?
I hope you can help a little.
Greetings.

I don't see why you could not... You can find the GAPPS where you found the AOKP Rom. just scroll down there and you will find it at the bottom of the post at Rootwiki.

Thanks so much. I hadn't realized that because my laptop has a very little screen and something was wrong with the scroll bar of Firefox. It just didn't show the scroll bar so I thought it ended just there where I saw the last rom.
So I installed the apps and everything, so far so good with them.
Only a little surprise, there is no stock music player? Is there any way I can install it?
And the main problem now is with my wifi... I keep on getting "Authentication problem" whereas a few hours ago on the stock Samsung rom, I never got it
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance

I guess you have the wrong password for your wifi our you have an ACL based on Mac address in the router? Probably not a phone problem.

I have checked the password like 10 times already, it's the same and good.
And no, I don't have an ACL based on Mac address... Any computer having the password can connect...
A few hours ago it worked just fine with the stock rom, this is my first flashed Rom on my Galaxy Nexus. :/ I even reflashed the rom again and Franco's Kernel... Nothing has fixed the issue.
Any other ideas? Maybe flashing new radios can help? Or another Rom?
Sorry mate, here it ends for me. I recon you know your way now with Gaps. The rest I hope someone else can help you with.

See - the thing is (if you read up on the issue) the problem happens on ANY phone - running ANY rom - and VARIOUS radios ... so doing the thread nazzi thing really doesn't help, as the issue is prevelant across the board. If that's not bad enough, god forbid you start a new thread because again ... the thread nazzis jump out of the woodwork and (seemingly gleefully) post all the different posts where it's already been discussed. Well yea, that's because there is no magic silver bullet. I've got the issue, and I'm not going to bother saying what rom or radio or kernel I'm using, or how many cashes I've wiped or permissions I've fixed, because I've already run thru all those gymnastics. So you see, it cam be just as frustrating having to keep reading about the problem again & again, as it is trying to walk on egg shells to find a cure, in the exact right thread, in the exact right forum. In the mean time, the only thing I've found that guarentees the issue doesn't happen to me is to go all the way back to the Sarum rom. How pathetic is that. But thanks for the help anyway ... presuming some day there comes a "one cure - cures all".

I had the exact same problem with a reoccurring message that would flash on and off every second or so. I did both a data restart then a reboot of the android software by pushing the down volume button then holding the power button. When the LG logo appeared I released both buttons and followed the instructions for an android factory reboot. Apparently it is the SIM card. The android com.android.phone communicates with the SIM card and allows calls and texts to be sent and received using the android software. My SIM card got damaged somehow and could not receive the call from the android app com.android.phone. I had to buy a new SIM card for ten dollars and had my stored files on the SIM moved to the new one and no more problems. Telus and Bell move the files to the new SIM for free i'm sure other major service providers offer the same free service.

It may be too late, but.. I just had the same problem while installing some kitkat apps and spent hours trying everything to fix it. What ended up fixing it was: Settings>Application Manager> Menu > Reset app preference>Reboot.
Hope this helps!
Hello everyone,
I just got a Inc2 2 a couple days ago and decided to root it. I achieved S-off using Revolutionary described here: http://androidforums.com/incredible...y-downgrade-firmware-build-6-01-605-05-a.html
Also stated near the bottom is how to stop bootloops which I had to do. After that was all said and done I went and flash Aeroevan's CM10 as found and described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1805773
Fearing that I may have skipped some things during CM10's setup, I went and reflashed the ROM, the kernal, and GApps as described above. After that everything was picture perfect with no problems. However, a couple days later i was having some issues with my Live Wallpaper to which I restarted my phone a couple of times and started to notice what looked to be some type of artifact on screen between the HTC intro and the CM10 Intro. Even after CM10 loaded i saw what looked like multiple versions of the top quarter of the UI spread across the whole screen for a moment before the lock screen came up.
Fearing that something might seriously be wrong, i tried once again to reflash CM10, however now it started to boot loop during the CM10 load screen. So I reflashed the 0312 Radio to hopefully stop the bootloops, which it did, and once again try to reflash CM10. I got the phone running but I still see those artifacts. I also wiped the phone each time before I flashed the ROM.
What i don't get is that the first time round, everything was perfectly fine, but know I'm seeing issues is it something I'm doing wrong? Is it CM10's stability? Or is my phone dying?

I am pretty sure I have seen these issues, but I have noticed no problems. I doubt your phone is breaking if it continues to boot. It may be something corrupt in one of the graphics. I wouldn't worry about it unless it stops booting.

Welcome to the sad miserable club of cm10 issues. Enjoy your stay.
CM10 is still pretty buggy. Don't worry about it.
The most stable ROMs are the gingerbread ones.
Also Aeroevan's Goo.im is

You'll find the latest (and hopefully greatest) downloads there.
The OP is pretty out of date on the thread.
Hi,
I just rooted my wildfire according to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19746165#post19746165
and installed Cyanogenmod 7 from Hboot - recovery. Everything looked fine until reboot. It just shows a android robot on a skateboard with an arrow circling around it and a text of cyanogen 7 (mod) at the bottom. It just keep doing this but nothing more. Did I do something wrong?
Thank you guys.

ok, solved
I tired installed another rom (remPuzzleRom_2.2.1). And it also takes long time after rebooting and stayed in the opening animation but finally it entered into the setup. Now it works fine. I guess it just takes sometime for the first run. Maybe different time for different rom, so if it really got stuck at the opening animation, then you can try another rom.

READ EVERY word of the first post of the thread for whatever it is your flashing.
Thanks for the quick response, actually immediately after posting earlier thread, I went through all the procedure used to performed rooting, only to found out that I had missed a step. I forgot to flash the kernel after rooting, these fixed the error and my phone upgraded and everything goes back to normal. Thanks so much:thumbup:
Now I have this question to ask, some of more reason I rooted this device is to make my phone faster or more responsive, how do I start and what to do to begin?

Missing steps is something we ALL do from time to time to time and generally when something doesn't work or you brick your Phone that's the reason. Start by reading, reading then reading some more. Flash a ROM, a Kernel, install a few tweaks etc etc etc. I myself these days prefer a tweaked Stock ROM, others prefer CM10 but the choice is yours at the end of the day.
