What he's trying to tell you is that there are many 4.2.2 ROMs, and they're all a little different (some are very different), so he can't send you a link, because there are like 20.
There isn't one from Samsung (official, in other words) yet -- there may never be -- so if that's what you're thinking, you're at the latest version available already.
soupysoup, is there a COOK 4.2.2 ROM for *some* manufacturer (e.g., Jedi Mind Trick is for T989s)? I'm wondering if he means ROOT, but I thought I'd ask.
I would be scared to point a finger in any direction. LOL. Probably a language barrier.....but if the OP doesn't read exactly what to do AND understand it, his next thread will be about a brick.

What? No they have completely different chipsets. The international version has a 1.2ghz exnyos processor . The t989 has a 1.5ghz snap dragon. That is just for starters. The only real thing they share in common is the name "SGS2"

Hello,
Ok, I can't flash a i9100 ROM in T989, but I question:
Can I extract the language (PT-BR, for example) from i9100 ROM and then "insert" it in the T989 (orT989D) ROM?
I question because I bought a "Galaxy SII X" by Tellus (T989D) in the USA, but it doesn't have my language (Portuguese) and the app "Morelocale2" doesn't work cool.
I would appreciate a solution or sugestion to have my IBS Galaxy X in Portuguese.
Thks.
P.S.: I'm sorry for my English.

Your english is fine a lot better than the people that live in the u.s and its their native language. You will need to root your phone using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1311194 and flash this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1322642
After you load that rom go to settings/ Language and keyboard/ Select languge/ The select portuguese.
That is the only rom that supports your language I know.

Thanks for the words about my english.
I'll try do what you suggest.
Just some little questions:
installing this rom I still be able in the future upgrade to the original ICS ROM? Because I know that it will have all languages... By the way, is it true?
This rom is stable? Does it have some serious bug?
Will I lose some functionality?
If I don't like it, can I go back to the original? How to do? How to backup my Original ROM?
Sorry for a lot of questions by a noob!
Is that the phone isn't mine, I'm just helping a friend

This is a custom rom based off the stock rom you already have with added functionality. No bugs are known if you follow directions as stated by the developer. You will get an ota but it wont flash you will have to update it when the developer gets his hands on ice cream sandwich rom for our variant of the galaxy s2.

Sure you can.....revert I mean!!
As a matter of fact, you can revert to exactly what you have at this moment in time.
Have you got ClockworkMod Recovery....
if not, you must install.
When you have CWM.. you just got to make a Nandroid Backup...which is a complete copy/image of your current setup.
This can be restored at any time, bringing your device back to what is your current setup!!!

How do you come to that conclusion???
Please tell us, as you are obviously an expert!!!
What are your conclusions, having flashed numerous ROM's?? no doubt.....

you probably mean no offence....
but you have just offended the entire Voluntary Developer Community for this device.....

Hi all!
I'm new here and I need your help
I buy 2 Galaxy S3 from Hong Kong, All the signs says that it's S3...(i9300)
When I got home I discovered that the devices really screwed up and work very slowly and get stuck and that their RAM is 600MB it did not make sense!
So I flash one with new ROM 4.1.2 - and he get brick...
The device was able to log on to Download mode and then I saw that he is T999,
I flash for him other rom for T999 that I found here in the forum, and the device now works.
My question is can you refer me to ROM that is stable?, that even after I put this ROM the RAM was low and illogical and really slow.
I need ROM that will be support full Hebrew (I dont care if it's 4.0.4 or other, just need stable rom with Hebrew)
Thank you to those who help!
(If that's not the right forum, sorry and I glad if you move it to the right forum.)
Someone can help plz?
Are you looking for a touchwiz rom or AOSP?
All the TW roms use a lot of ram. Each one though is just about as stable as stock since they're (the Devs I mean) all using official firmware now. I believe the lightest TW Rom (ram-wise) is lightening... if memory serves. But even still it issues nearly half a gig. AOSP rom's use anywhere from 80 - 200 MB's, give or take. Best bet is to read through each Developer's official thread, read through the change logs, and if that still doesn't help, ask the Devs if their rom includes what you're looking for. If not, there's always a way..

I do not care which ROM I just need that it work fine and will have Hebrew support (full hebrew)
I wanted to show you pictures that show the status of the RAM but because I'm new so the forum system will not let me uplaoding img ...(10+ posts)
LOL homebrew. Any rom that has root should do it for you. Go to the t999 android development page and look at which one suits all your needs. I recommend frosty jb.

I'm pretty sure the stock keyboard doesn't auto correct. You can look in the themes and apps section, they have some in there. Or download a different keyboard. That's the great thing about Android. Try SwiftKey. I find it to be the best

It's not any more complicated. Don't worry about odex and stuff. Just stay in the development threads here and flash what you like. Not trying to be mean here but these types of threads are not necessary. Just make a nandroid and flash away and see what best fits your needs. Each rom is subject to opinion. I use slimfast and have had no issues with it.

I keep asking questions, and you give me other replies rather than answers... If might be straightforward and easy for you. and maybe screwing around with a $350 phone is no issue for you.. but me.. not so much.
"In theory you should be fine if you do dirty flash from another 4.3 rom such as DN3 v1.0 or SN10
We recommend TWRP 2.6.3.1 to flash this rom.
You need 4.3 boot loader.
Have both TWRP and latest CWM on your external SD Card along with Ditto Note 3.1.1
Flash TWRP 2.6.3.1, go into Wipe and slide to do the Factory Reset."
This is not straight forward to me.. since I have no idea if I have a 4.3 bootloader - says I HAVE TO HAVE ONE.
TWRP is at 2.7 now .. is there a reason he says to use 2.6.3.1??? on a rom that was updated 3 days ago??
These are the things that bother me.. I am not interested in bricking my phone.
If you dont want to help.. fine, But explanations for the terms used above are not coming up in searches, unless I want to read a ton of threads.. so I thought someone might answer for me.

If that's what the developer says to use then use it. I would say he knows why to use 2.6.3.1 but that's not really important. Samsung phones are very hard to brick if you follow the directions. I'm no expert dude, all I do is follow the directions in the OP. If you do that you will be fine. What were you running prior to slim fast? If you're not sure you have the bootloader you can just flash it again.
