GTA Not compatible? - Galaxy Grand Duos i9082 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hi everyone, I'm running stock 4.1.2 and I've previously bought GTA 3 which worked on all my previous devices: Atrix, Nexus 7, Chinese Tab with RK3066 chip but how come its not compatible on my i9082? I know it has a Broadcom chip but it should be more than enough for GTA 3 as it runs Minecraft and Shadowgun pretty well. Are we just waiting for an update to support this GPU or is there something wrong with my device? I've watched videos on Youtube where people are running GTA 3/VC fine on the i9082 but they point you to download an apk and I don't want to do that as I'd rather have the Play Store version. Vice City isn't compatible either.
Thanks in advance,
Anthony

GTA Vice city working gud for me without any hard work just install apk and paste data file that's it
Sorry but
I didn't try GTA3

Gameloft's games.

Hey everyone!
Has anyone had a chance to try out some Gameloft games like N.O.V.A or Dungeon hunter?
I kind of want to buy dungeon hunter, but I'm unsure which version to select on their store since they don't list the SGS. I suppose the HTC Desire version should work, but was wondering if someone else had already tried it...
Nova works and is a good game but I heard that dungeon hunter does not work on our phones, that and the mafia gangster one both been tried and both dont work.
I have installed lets golf and of course have asphalt, both excellent games work perfectly, I have also bought the gangster one but will be downloading tonite when i get home over wifi, will update then.
I installed Real Football 10, but it's too fast >_<. Almost impossible to play. Seems like Gameloft hasn't put an FPS restriction on the game, and it's running at double/triple the FPS of Nexus One / Desire
Perfectly works:
Lets golf
Hero of sparta
Asphalt 5
Dungeon hunter
Sandstorm
Assasins creed
Hawx

Asphalt 5 for Samsung Galaxy works
Assassin's Creed for Samsung Galaxy works
Dungeon Hunter for the Motorola Droid works
Nova for the Motorola Droid works
Gangstar for Nexus didn't work.
Gangstar for Motorola Droid works.
Gangster works bought droid version

Bought the Desire version of Dungeon Hunter, runs beautifully =)
about Hawx this one doesn't work perfect in my eyes, you have to use the virtual pad to fly.

Well it's possible, becouse i always use virtual buttons instead of this motion control (what it's called properly?).

Dungeon Hunter works perfectly, as does Nova. Really enjoying both of them -played DH through once already and just started again with a different class. I quite fancy the golf one too but really I want EA to get their fingers out their bums and make Tiger Woods for android. It's been my staple phone golf game for 3 or 4 years now and I'd love to see what they could do with it on this thing...
Anyone got an opinion on whether the golf one is any good or not?
I know this game is not from Gameloft... but you should try Heavy Gunner 3D by Com2uS

omg omg omg, I got NOVA, and it's awesome! But I also really really want Sandstorm! Cant' find it!

Accelerometer ? its working for me, only thing is the game has no multi touch. Probably my fav game tho =o
why i cant find all the games from gameloft in market??
im using JG5 firmware..
Because 90% of them arnt on the market =p
Need to visit wap.gameloft.com to purchase/download
i think all gameloft games for android would work on our phone. i have tried 5 of them, 6 including asphalt, and all work fine. i chose motorola milestone version.
Let's Golf is awesome! shameless Everybody's Golf rip off, but the swing meter is a lot more forgiving on this.
I downloaded the trial of Ashphalt 5 and for some reason the Samsung Apps app updated it to the full version for free!
Asphalt 5 is for free for all Galaxy owner. It is listed in “samsung apps“ if you uninstall it

what games are compatible with Chainfire3D

Hello all,
I would like to play all of the awesome new titles coming out but it seems like NONE of them are compatible with my shinny new GS2. I know the GS2 has the juice to run these games flawlessly but their simply not available and don't work... Could someone help me out and let me know if it is possible to play these games with Chainfire 3D?
Shadowgun
9MM
Modern Combat 2 (3 when it is released..)
GT Racing
It is simply rediculas we own the most powerful device on the market and we can't play the best games because the devs are too lazy to follow standards
Well I've been fighting with this phone since day one to get these to work... I have the nvdia plug in and i changed the market settings and still nothing. I know i can go off market and get them... But i prefer to pay the devs for their apps.

[Q] N64 Emulation

Hi everyone.
On my Note 2, I have NES, SNES, N64, and PS1 working very smoothly. On my new Nexus 7 (2nd generation), I haven't been able to get N64 working smoothly.
Does anyone have a 64 emulator installed on your new Nexus 7? If so, which one do you use and did you make any configuration changes?
Thanks!

Mupen64 works great for me, no config changes needed.
N64 shouldn't be a problem.
Although I've never found one to play HydroThunder.

Thanks for the help! I was able to get Mario Kart working much better. I did notice that the games play much better on the tablet, compared to when I use HDMI out. When I use the Slimport adapter and try to play on the TV, it is a little bit more laggier. And that is the case with the entire tablet, not just emulated games. Anyone run into that issue?
I got the Nexus 7 so I could use two six axis controllers and play all the old games on a TV... but for some reason, the Note 2 handles games better.

Personally, I happened to try superN64 playing smash bros, and for what its worth, I think the older N64oid app just functions better.

[Q] GPU-heavy Android games to test Adreno 305

Dear fellow S4 Mini guys,
I have bought this wonderful device a week ago, and since then it gave me nothing but usability comfort and modern smartphone awesomeness (I think its part High-end and part Middle-end (namely PPI and GPU are of the middle-end. You are welcome to discuss this though).
Being a mobile gaming junkie, the first I did is fire up a latest PPSSPP and playing some PSP titles, and I am still amazed at how the ARM cores have matured over time, Qualcomm Krait 300 (and 400 that started to appear just right now) and ARM Cortex A15 currently being state-of-the-art.
However, my grudge is against the GPU, which is less important to platform emulation than it is to native Android games. While it is enough for any game I actually play on S4 Mini, it is showing its middle-end teeth on the games like Iron Man or even Vice City. And I started to wonder what this Adreno 305 GPU is actually about. I've been for quite some time apart from recent 3D Android titles, and have seldom spare time for checking anything that is downloadable to figure out for myself.
So I wanted to know what games are the most GPU-intensive and demanding so I could test them and get a grip on the general GPU performance of S4 Mini. Not that it would change anything, but once the curiosity starts to spread... From Youtube videos I know that N.O.V.A. 3 runs quite good.
Thank you in advance, and you are most welcome to discuss the general performance of our device and your notes on performance of specific games.

Thanks, I'll check out some of these games tonight.
However, from my experience with 2011 Xperia Play I can state the following:
Dead Space, Shadowgun, Mass Effect and Need for Speed Most Wanted will run flawlessly on anything even remotely more powerful than Adreno 205, which is considerably behind Adreno 305.
Btw, I forgot to add that Carmageddon, GPU-accelerated mode of FPSE and N64oid run flawlessly as well. But I believe they are not GPU-demanding enough to push the limits of S4 Mini.
Take a look at a game called "The Room". Quite fun as a puzzle game and looks quite nice.
Seem to hit some snags here and there. You determine if it's poor optimisation or if it's just GPU-intensive.
Another game that looks quite good from the screenshots (don't really play fast-paced games on my phone) is a game called Galaxy on Fire 2 HD (it's free).

I wonder why it isn't supported on the I9195.

Yes it is indeed weird. I've emailed the developers and their reply:
Thank you very much for the report, that Galaxy on Fire 2 HD is not available for your Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE, we'll forward it to our development team in order to let them check this issue and whether the game should be compatible with this device.

That is in "your case" through the playstore yes. If you get the APK from other sources, you can install it. Basically most games that say "Not Compatable" are compatable anyways.. it's just the playstore that thinks your device is not supported.
Beware that if you have editted your build.prop and your DPI, playstore can also have compatability issues because its 240dpi for this device.
Also I'm not listing games if they do not work, obviously!
NOVA3 just works fine.
note: My list has been updated!

Try out Ravensword. Runs on the unity engine but graphics are pretty good! It's been described as skyrim for Android, minus the largeness.
P.S. it should still be available as part of the humble bundle. humblebundle.com
Dungeon Hunter 4
is dungeon hunter 4 running fine? some reviews say it lags
edit: and dark knight rises as well

I have Xperia M (Can't afford more than that) , it also have Adreno 305 , i can run games like Dead Trigger , Shadow Gun , Real Racing 3 ,Asphalt 7 and 8 and the game runs pretty smooth , too bad i can't play games like MC4 and NOVA 3 cuz of its internal size . Nevertheless , its a good GPU :good:

[Q] N7 gaming problem

Hi guys !!
I have a problem with my new nexus 7(2013). When I play GTA VICE CITY on N7 on full graphic the game runs slowly. Then I play GTA VC on my old nexus 7 (2012) and the game runs without any lagg. What's wrong
Rom: 4.4.2
No root.
GTA games are not optimised for Adreno GPU's due to Nvidia's Tegra douchebaggery.

So.. Can't I play GTA games on full graphic on my new N7 ?

You can ,but it will be very laggy. Optimization is not the best part in GTA games for Qualcomm's devices.
.
Ok, but GTA VC loads faster as that nexus 7 2012.
