What's the easiest way to check if I still have CWM recovery installed?

Reboot to recovery?

I wanted to avoid that if possible as I don't want to risk getting stuck on the stock recovery.

Need root
DD the recovery partition to your sd card, and dissect it on your PC (or other) lol. Or just dd the cwm you want to your system. Lookup nandroid manager on the market
CM 10.1 P769
Could I just try to instal it again? Would that cause me any problems?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
That depends if your bootloader is unlocked, or if your phone allows custom recoveries. I don't know anything about your phone.

What do you mean by this? Can't you just close it and start or reboot.

I don't think there is since you have to flash a zip file to actually root your system but you can always go back and install your stock recovery after your rooted
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
You can with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963812, but you won't be able to install any ROMs.
Thanks will look into it

Yes that link will work although i dont think there is a cspire version so youll have to use sprints. That said this will do what your asking as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2017470
Hi everyone,
I am new to flashing and rooting. I have rooted my Xperia S using bin4ry method (locked bootloader). I found CWM for locked bootloaders which use a .bat file to flash CWM.
I always get a bootloop by using that CWM. I got bootloop once, then I restored using flashtool. I gave a second try and I got bootloop again!!!! I got extremely annoyed. I was trying to install a flashable zip mod of Xperia T small apps.
I have wiped dalvik cache before every time I flashed. No luck.
Can anybody help me out?
Maybe the mod isn't for your system Version?

I don't know. CWM for locked bootloader hasn't been updated for a good time.

How do other people with locked bootloader use CWM?
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
Don't worry, framework-res was the problem, not cwm.

I followed the steps in this guide yesterday for root. Step 2 was recovery load via Odin. I didn't have any issues.
