Hello Everyone,
At the begin i search for this question in google and in XDA forum, i don't find direct answer!
How can i remove CWM from samsung not 2 completely?
My advice for everyone have Note 2 Don't root it, you don't need to.
i dont think there's a way to just remove it,
i know you can flash a stock rom using odin and it will remove it
I did it with my S3.
After soft bricking my phone, I installed a rooted stock ICS rom in my phone then again installed Rom manager. CWM was not found. I think you can do it also in your Note 2.
Reroot with CF-Root this will put you back stock recovery.

Downgrade from 4.3 to 4.1.2. I have done this with 100% Success
BACKUP everything. (Important)
Turn ON USB Debugging mode and Unknown sources.
First ROOT your phone.
(FOR N7100 Note 2 use CF-Auto root, here is the link.
http://download.chainfire.eu/264/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.zip
NOTE: Knox and Binary Counters will get Triggered and your Warranty will be VOID.
Donwload CF-Auto root to your computer. Then boot your phone into Download mode. Open Odin. Connect your phone to computer. Click PDA and load CF-Auto root and click Start button. Let the process finish and your phone will reboot. You will see SuperSU icon on your phone).
Open Playstore and Update SuperSU. Open SuperSU and it will give a message to disable KNOX. Click YES/Ok.
Then install Titanium backup root from Playstore. Open it, go to backup/restore tab.
Find,
1.com.sec.enterprise.knox.attestation
2.com.sec.knox.eventsmanager
3.KLMS Agent
4.KNOX
5.Knox Notification Manager
6.KNOX Store
Go to each one of it and Uninstall them.
Next restart your phone.
*VERY IMPORTANT* Now Backup your efs folder by using EFS Professional on you computer (Link: http://d-h.st/Gfo ). Because your imei number will be changed after downgrading. You can easily restore it later.
Now install Mobile Odin Pro from Playstore on your phone. Here is the link.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.mobileodin.pro
*IMPORTANT* DO NOT flash firmware for downgrading with Computer Odin as it will NOT work and it will FAIL. *ONLY Mobile Odin Pro from Playstore will work.
Copy your 4.1.2 firmware to your phone. Next Open Mobile Odin Pro on your phone and let it download some necessary files from internet.
When done, click on Open file and select the firmware. After loading the firmware scroll down and UNCHECK EverRoot (because it cause problems). Then click on FLASH Firmware.
*IMPORTANT* If your phone get stuck on samsung logo. Go into recovery mode by pressing Home+Power+Volume UP keys together for 15 seconds. Click Factory wipe/data and then Wipe Cache. Then Reboot.
Now check your imei by *#06#. If imei is changed then restore it from EFS Professional.

I was on 4.3 XXUENA1. It was UAE version.
Now i'm on 4.1.2 XXDMC3
You can downgrade any Note 2 and S3 from 4.3 device to 4.1.2 as long as you have the Correct root files to root and firmware for your Specific Device Model. And follow the steps given above After rooting.
I edited the above post with some links and made it easy. Re-read it.
Hi dudes,
I've got a used Nexus 7 (2013) on android 4.3.1 firmware but rooted ...
I'd like to go to the lastest firmware 4.4.2 I guess, so I wonder if I can do a upgrade using the wifi as an unrooted tab or not ?
My tab is rooted , is it a problem for upgrading ?
If so, I'd rather unroot it, I prefere tablet as brand new ...
is there a way to brick my tab using the official update (by wifi) ?
Thanks !
If you are not receiving the update, just unroot it, and return it to stock. You can use the Nexus Root Toolkit by Wugfresh. It's really simple to use, and the help section is really good. Goggle it.
Have you tried going into settings, and going into system updates? Just having the tablet rooted, should not prevent you from receiving updates. Now, if it's routed with a custom rom, that's a different story. Good luck
--=={BSnapp} ==--
hi, it is rooted with the official firmware 4.3.1 I Guess( is there a way to see if it's a custom or official firmware ?)
and I've got the notification of the 4.4.2 upgrade ...
?
In parameters here is what I've got :
band base version
DEB-G00_2.25.1_0802
kernel version
3.4.0-g9e52a21
[email protected]$1
so official one ?
I see that you have the LTE model (DEB.). If you could post a screenshot of your About Tablet screen, one of us should be able to help you.

apparently, trying to do a recevory using the POWER and UP trick, it seemes the guy before me has installed clockworkmod recovery v6.0.4.4 so what should I do ?
You could flash a 4.4.2 ROM using Clockwork Mod recovery. NOTE: Please research and double check every step before flashing. The basics are: make sure that you have plenty of battery life; make a backup of your current ROM; do a factory reset in Clockwork Mod; select a 4.4.2 specific to your device, e.g., Paranoid Android for DEB; download a zip file of SuperSu 1.94; download Gapps; then flash the ROM, Gapps, & Supersu. Again: read, read, read through XDA before flashing anything. EDIT: Make sure that you have the most recent Clockwork Mod version for your device.

I understand only English, so I don't know. I do know that as Bsnapp's post states, Wug's Nexus Toolkit works well for unrooting and flashing stock. Back up your files first.

Hi I am new to this forum and a casual user. I wanted to root my note 2 tmobile android version 4.3 and actually rooted it once but knox created a lot of problem. I could not even launch titanium backup to freeze knox. Or was completely unable to disable knox. Now as android 4.3 has been released for quite a few months. Does anyone know of a method which will root my galaxy note 2 tmobile (SGH-T889) for sure and let me completely disable knox? If so please give me step by step instruction of rooting my device or alteratively you can provide me a link of the instruction so I can root my note 2 phone. I appreciate your help.

cf auto root should work for root. what did you use to root? if you are rooted install a custom recovery and flash a knoxfree rom from the dev section
Flash CF auto root via Odin then download latest superuser from play store and you are ready to go.

Just as a suggestion, something that happened to me while playing around with the phone: if you're running Stock rom and then flash a custom recovery via Odin (I used Philz Touch) upon booting on recovery just to wipe cache/dalvik I found something interesting: my phone wasn't rooted, so when chosing the option "reboot system now" a message that said something like "root is broken, would you like to root your phone before rebooting" appeared. I was curious, as I normally use a website called Kingo root that does it in a one-click kinda way. When I chose Yes in the recovery, upon booting my phone it was rooted. After, I just intalled Chainfire's SuperSU from the play store and it was all good.
It's worth trying I believe.
Cheers

I have a question. If you don't run odin as a administrator do you get this error message: Windows cannot access the specific device path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access. The last time I tried to root my phone i didn't run odin in administrator mode. I'm just finding out about this recently. I have all of the files installed on the computer and ready. Odin, recovery, keis, and supersu zip on sd card. Im just trying to figure out why I got that error message. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance... Awaiting your response...

The only answer that pops up in my mind would be that you weren't running Odin as an administrator, like you mentioned. Maybe try running Odin as an admin, or alternatively (and I haven't tried this myself but Chainfire's thread gives a good step-by-step and people in the forum do help) use mobile Odin ------> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1347899. The first time I wanted to root my phone I was having issues too, not being able to do it because of lack of experience. I stumbled upon this website: http://www.kingoapp.com/. Check it out, if you would like. This kingo app is a downloadle app (kind of like Odin) that Roots yourm phone alone, without needing to flash anything. The step-by-step's are there, just turn on your developer options and then turn on USB debugging. I personally rooted A Galaxy Tab, SIII, a Note I i717 and an Asus MemoPad with that website and it worked perfectly for me. Rooting via custom recovery is something that I learned recently, and by chance. I do not know whether it trips the Knox counter or not to be honest with you, to me it doesn't make a difference since I will not be returning any of the devices I rooted, After rooting the phone like so you could potentially download mobile Odin from Chainfire's thread and then use Odin without needing to use your computer.
Hope this helps

Yeah that was it, i rooted it earlier today. I do have another question for you. I ran root checker pro and it says I'm rooted. I tried to install busybox but it said remove supersu permissions reinstall supersu and to delete and reinstall busybox. Also the adb shell doesn't have root access either. So is that a common occurrence, or is it the norm after rooting and installing custom recovery? Awaiting your reply. Thanks in advance...

Sorry for the late reply, hadn't been to the forum in a minute. To be honest with u, I don't know for sure. I haven't personally yet served myself from adb so I can't tell u. However, the reason why you received that response from busybox may be because when u were partially rooted it gained root access (if it ever did, I only assume).
Try what was asked of u and I'm sure busybox will work no problems. Also, if u have the terminal emulator apk try entering the command "root" (without the ") and if u gain roots access it will definitely mean you are rooted for sure.
What do you want to use adb for, if I may ask?

Can you please confirm that cf worked on 4.4.2? Their site only shows compatibility up to 4.3. I've been searching everywhere, but found no confirmed reports of cf or anything else working on 4.4.2. I want to root my i317 while retaining the stock rom so that I can enable tethering.

What recovery are you using, and how did you install it, TWRP bricked mine.
C auto root is flashed with odin in download mode. While rooting, it installs a custom recovery.
maybe it's kitkat, but it didn't install one for me. When I went into recovery, it was the normal factory recovery, which allowed nothing. I tried with Rom Manager, but nothing.
CF worked
I had to manually install the latest Supersu apk then update the binaries to get it working afterword, but I'm finally rooted
Now to get tether working

Download a recovery like philz and flash it in odin while the phone is in download mode
Let me ask you this:
1. root with odin.
2. install CWM with odin?
3. Not I have 4.4.2 stock rom with root.
4. Can I install a custom rom with 4.4.2. stock rom still on the phone?

Yes, if 1 - 3 is accomplished, you are ready for experiments in custom roms. You use the recovery to flash.
But make sure you have the latest recovery, and that you check the rom instructions a few times before you do anything.
Ok....cwm from Rom manager, or twrp through odin? I don't mean to break chops, I've rooted a captivate and played with it for a year, when my wtty was over with this phone, I rooted it, and had JediX 19 on it. I went back to stock, and then 4.4.2 When samsung stock 4.4.2 was installed, for some reason, it keeps bricking on me.
Ok, I rooted, and installed twrp from odin,.... passed. When I go into recovery, it's not there.
Ok. Hopefully someone has an answer. I rooted with CF auto root, Odin....fine. Installed CWM, fine. Downloaded SuperSU.....unfortunately superuser stopped working everytime I press on it. I cannot uninstall it, because it DOES NOT show up in application manager. I installed root checker, and says phone is not rooted. I can get into clockwork MOD, but no zip files show up. Can I use Odin to re flash CF auto root?, or just quit, I would hate to brick this again.
Sounds like Knox is blocking you. After rooting, install the latest Supersu apk (2.02) and install manually. Then when you open it, it should ask to update binaries. Let it, then it should ask about dialing Knox. Click yes. Viola, you're fully rooted. After the above is done, you can play with ROMs n such.
Up till that point, there is no need to flash anything, as auto root is designed to do the work for you from a pure stock rom.
