Are you outside of the US?! Or not using ATT?! I am outside of the US, using a local carrier. For some reason I think you need to be on att to get the update... not just connected to wifi... In my case it gives me the same msg when I try to check for update! If u are on ATT, then maybe we have a different revision of the phone... Like...Htc One Vx v2 or something...dno.. and maybe we will get the update msg soon...:-?? Im waiting for JMZ's root stock rom.

I flashed the PROVISION ROM which is found here. It seems a very nice ROM. However, I was not able to make the mobile data to work but wifi is working perfectly. Does anyone experience this?
I apologize if I posted this here since I cannot post in the development threads.
sounds like you are running gsm. getting mobile data has to do with your apn's. which carrier are you on?
Yes, I have gsm, my carrier is globe from the Philippines.

You are gonna have to have your stock ROM handy. We will need some files from it. Care to link me to an ruu for your carrier and I can take a look at it today?

Has anyone tried to use the app to flash kernels? Don't think the device is listed but wanted to know if it would work. Thanks
You could be our beta tester lol. As long as all it does is flash the boot IMG it shouldn't mess anything up.

I would not risk it
u mess the kernel ur phone is ****ed
Sent from my One V using xda premium
Shouldn't be too bad. All you have to do is reboot into fast boot and flash a kernel to fix. But use caution always, no matter what you do to your phone.

Tried this but the app says it's not made for the one v and doesn't let you do anything, so no go sorry

Do you guys know if there is any roms for the cricket version of the phone that has everything if not most things working . thanks

All CDMA ROMs work. Try one and then look for my cricket MMS guide in the q&a section

I just unbricked mine and I flashed pacman primoc in phone status it says network virgin mobile...will I have trouble activating it?
Sent from my HTC One V using xda app-developers app
Somewhere in pacman you can change the label to anything you want. The virgin tag should not mean anything if you go to a place where they understand custom ROMs. I own a hov that I flashed from virgin to cricket and still runs the stock virgin ROM working on the cricket network. So... Nope

Alright thanks...so its just a label and ill still be able to get Cricket?

Just wondering if everyone has given up on custom Rom, seems that way. Let me know if anyone plans on releasing something. I'm freaking out.

No. If you ain't rooted you cannot alter system files. Period.
Or you can go the hardware route and open your phone and check the connectors, don't need root for that.
Opened mine up put some tin foil in and now I'm getting full bars where I didn't before.

Wasn't for me. I always root lol

That will depend on the situation. If it's hardware return to warranty for exchange. And if software wait for the fix by htc or root and enjoy.
