USB audio - Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660

(How) Is it possible to get audio from USB on GIO?
Using CM7.2 based rom.

Any update by anyone? I too have an USB headset with microphone. I plugged my OTG USB to my Galaxy Note2 and plugged my headset. Tried played an audio and no sound coming in headset. Any idea how to get this running?

There is no OTG support on Gio i think.
Also the needed drivers needs to be implemented in Rom and Kernel

[Q] ExTERNAL DAC FOR N7000

Hello!
Anybody with a JB 4.1.1 ROM got a running external dac on the n7000 ?
ie Fiio E7.
Thanks!
Does 4.1.1 provide digital audio output from note? If so, would it be possible to connect it to stereo system using usb cable? I have Denon micro system and it has usb plug so you can plug in iPhone or iPad and it sounded great when I tryed it. If same thing would be possible with my note I would love it.

I know that the I9300 and the N7100 have a digital unprocessed line-out that you can connect to various digital devices and they can be used as a DAC.
I just wonder, if this feature has any hardware limitations or it's just the JB ROM?
If you have the USB HOST cable you can try connecting it to your DENON.

I recieved my cable yesterday but cannot find how to use the n7000 as a host. The sound still comes out through the phone speaker and nothing through the DAC.
Audio revolution will record to the phone via usb. Usb audio tester recognises my headphone dac as burr brown, but not able to utilise for audio transfer from phone to dac yet.
My current rom is "Ultimate N7000 XXLSC JellyBean 4.1.2 v5.1"
Has anyone had success with any other rom or kernel ?
Damm I'd love it worked. I want a dac on m'y note , yamaha sucks.

I'm also interested in this matter, I would like to have better audio.
Awaiting the results of their experience

Have you activated audio output in the settings under System/Dock?

Note N7000 to Denon AVR
I don't have a DAC but a Denon 1312 AVR with no USB. However, I connect the Note N7000 to the AVR via HDMI using the MHL Connector. Works great and gives near lossless audio when I play FLAC.

I have a fiio dac but can't use it with the note. There's no digital signal output to attach it to. Trust me. I've looked into it. I have to make do with using the headphone amp only, which is still a great improvement.

I have tried it with an OTG cable and my fiio E7 on jelly bean 4.2 (liquid smooth rom) but haven't had any succes yet. It is possible with the galaxy S3. And I think there should be a way to do it with the note too, since its able to transmit it trough HDMI.
There are some interesting threads on headfi about the matter.
Somebody should kickstart hdmi based DAC with built in power so we can skip mhl connection size can be as big as note as long is not thick... all n7000 / n7100 will rejoice
You here it first from here

Probably very, VERY LATE in the game. But I have a Note 1, N7000 version that I'm trying to revive purely as a DAP. I've read that only the SGH i717 model supports audio over USB (via OTG). Can anyone confirm? Is there a ROM that can be used for the N7000 version that will allow audio over USB? Thanks.

Use phone as speaker?

Does anyone know how to use the phone as an output speaker?
Example; I had a presentation on a computer, which didn't have speakers. I had a male to male audio cable (3.5mm) that I could connect from computer's audio out to the phone. But I don't know to set the phone up to act like a speaker.
Phone: Galaxy Note II - SGH-i317M* Provider: Telus Rom: Stock - rooted (JB 4.1.2) Kernel: Stock Recovery: Stock

I don't think I have ever heard of anybody using the phones speaker as an output device from another source of sound.
You would be better off getting a small pair of rechargeable speakers that have the bellows in them than using the tiny speaker of the phone.
Good luck with whatever you get working
I'd be afraid of blowing the phone's circuitry as I once did as a kid on my dad's stereo systems, trying to pipe aux out through a mic jack. It worked, until it fried. :/

I would love to help you, but help yourself first: ask a better question

If you have wifi access, a workaround would be to use splashtop and rout the audio through that way. Might be a little lagged though

[Q] Note II & Fiio E07K external DAC problem

Note II GT-N7100 - Android 4.1.2 stock - Kernel 3.0.31 - Fiio E07K - standard OTG cable
When I connect the Fiio to the phone, I get a 'Lock' appearing on Fiio (according to Fiio, it means OK) and the phone says, 'USB connected' and the sound from speakers get muted.
So far so good, BUT!
When I play something, there is no sound from Fiio, and peculiarly , what is being played (music or video) is on fast forward! a 3 minute song finishes in a few seconds.
Of course if I use the Fiio as an amp, I have no problems.
If I connect a USB stick, the phone reads it fine, indicating the OTG cable is good.
Any ideas?
Thanx
Hi,
Have you had any success in solving your problem?
I'm thinking about buying the E07K and want to use the DAC function. I've tested my phone with an OTG cable and it reads memory sticks OK - same as yours, so I was presuming it would work with the Fiio. Reading your post, however, has given me some doubts.
I'm using an HTC One X + running stock 4.2.2

No , does not work!
I gave up.
OK, thanks for responding. I'll probably still get the E07K as the DAC function is unlikely to work with any other portable amps if it doesn't work with this one.
Not what you want know, probably. IBasso D-Zero works fine as a Dac/Amp on the stock Note 2.

I can confirm the E07K works with the note 2. All you need to do is turn OFF USB charging on the E07k. Works perfectly now that its off.

[Q] car dock with USB audio and charging

Does anyone know if one exists? I would love to have a single cable in my phone to charge and for audio. Unfortunately my car stereo (Audi rnse) doesn't support Bluetooth streaming.

I really doubt this will work for your nexus 5, but a search on ebay found this to be the closest to what your asking for:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Micro-B-USB...Phone_PDA_Cables_Adapters&hash=item5d40faf05b
If your car at least has aux output, then you can either use a usb car charger as well. plug the audio into the aux port, the usb into charging port, and then the micro usb into your phone. The ebay listing states specifically for certain phone models, nothing even close to a nexus though. But for under $10, its worth a shot.
I have a USB charger and aux port but means two wires annoyingly. Does nexus 5 support audio out via USB?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
why not use a bluetooth audio adapter which connects to the AUX port if you have one, i have no wires anymore to my phone , i use the OWL Carpad Qi charger (i have some issues right now but seems like hardware issue) and i use a Belkin AirCast Car Audio Wireless Bluetooth AUX Music HandsFree Kit, i normally wanted to go with the Kinivo BTC450 Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit but thats no available in my country .
So i go into my car just mount the phone in the car pad were i also use a nfc tag to enable bluetooth and turn off other stuff, and start the engine, now my phone gets charged then I press the belkin and i am connected and music is playing , i also use it now as my handsfree because i am absolutely fine with the quality.
For USB audio you will need a car stereo that supports audio over USB. I suggest looking into Bluetooth. That's how I do it and I love it.

Try them out, that is what I use and I simply plug the usb cable into the GROM Audio box, then into my phone, and enjoy music from my phone and charging as well.
For the dock, I just use the InfiniApps Slyde Magnetic CD Slot Mount($25 on Amazon)
I tried with my old GSII car dock and it's not working.

Does the Grom Audio box USB cable audio streaming works with the Nexus 5? I'm considering buying it but searching around I'm not sure it works with the Nexus 5.

[USB Headphone] Audio pans mostly to a single side on Samsung Galaxy A7.

Headphone Model: Sennheiser PC 8 Over-Ear USB VOIP Headphone with Mic
I am trying to use the USB headphone with Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018). The problem is the audio come out from mostly the right channel. Like 90% from right and 10% from left.
To ascertain in which device, the usb headphone or the phone, the problem is I tried it on another device, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014). On the Galaxy Note there is no problem. The audio works as it should on the USB headphone. I am surprised USB audio works without any problem on a much older device especially given both the devices are from the same company.
So what seems to be the problem with Sennheiser USB headphones + Samsung Galaxy A7?
Please help me solve this issue.
