Hi everybody,
This is my first thread ( excuse my english as my native language is Spanish ), I recently got a Verizon Droid Incredible 2 ( S-ON ) on Gingerbread version and I have experienced the following issues ( all possible settings have been tested before creating this thread ):
Issues:
-Screen not rotating
-Screen Brightness won't change ( sensor doesn't seem to recognize light changes )
-Screen won't turn off when I get a call ( Proximity sensor does not seem to detect any object getting close )
-Part of the touch won't respond ( it's like i was pressing that part of the screen the whole time )
-Accelerometer not working.
Fixing Attempts:
-HTC Dev bootloader unlock
-Installed different ROMS ( ICS, Gingerbread, Cyanogenmod, etc... )
-Installed different Kernels
-Factory reset
-Installed different hardware testing apps ( Hardware is recognized but it won't change any value )
-Disassembled the phone and cleaned light and proximity sensors ( on the mother board and holes in the bezel/touch glass, NOW I SEE A PERMANENT RED BLINKING LIGHT In one of the sensors )
-Heat the touch screen and put my nail between the bezel and the glass ( I read this could make the digitalizer work again, but it did not )
None of these steps worked, below my current software versions:
Android Version: 2.3.4
HTC Sense Version: 2.1
Software Number: 5.10.605.9
PRI Version: 1.92_002
ERI Version: 5
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.9-gb5330c8
[email protected] #1
Wed Nov 9 18:00:26 CST 2011
Baseband Version: 20.32w.30.0813U_1.09.01.1111
Build Number: 5.10.605.9 CL200710 release-keys
I would understand I need to change the digitalizer ( touch screen ) but the rest of features not working... sound too weird for being a hardware issue.
Any help here? I will greatly appreciate it.
Anybody?

Thanks for the reply, the phone is already s-off, I ran super wipe and reinstalled the whole ROM + Kernel but it didn't make any difference.
I have tried different kernels but the issue remains ( Kernel is the one that makes hardware work ) Any other suggestion?
Well now since I'm drunk I have think time...seems like its a hardware issue...water damaged? Considering multiple hardware issues
PS thank man for auto correct

looks very strange, I think you have to change your device and don't have a headache

First, I apologize for my poor English.
i'm using desire HD device at Korea

kernel - buzz 1.1.4_OC+
build - 1.43.1010.2 CL287189 (Korean official)
i was used stock kernel
but the battery was so fast exhausted
So I decided to use the buzz kernel
because it is undervolt, so it seemed to be able to use a little more
but i touch back button, device is crash, when youtube landscape

i saw same problem at korean forum
but dont know reason, dont know solution.
is anyone experienced same problem in here?
This bug is gone with the new 1.72.x builds.
This is my first ROM so...
This ROM based on BLAZN (by tiad8 from XDA).
I tested the ROM on Raph100 and Diam100 and every thing works, including the camera and camcoder. I don't have other devices so i can help but i need some log to see what's wrong.
I'm getting 21FPS (diam100) and 20.2FPS (raph100) with NeoCore with no overclock and camera+camcoder works great.
How to install V6:
1. choose your device and put startup.txt on npkinstall and on root.
2. run install.exe in the npkinstall folder - REBOOT.
3. check that you have 'ts-calibration' file (if not download it from here: http://www.neopeek.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6420)
4. run harted
5. after startup wizard finish, wait 5 min and restart.
6. start harted and have fun!

That's amazing!!! Wow, i'm not ready for using android builds needing the separate partition personally, but can't wait to see if something can use this to figure out what is helping get this kind of battery power. I would be willing to bet a lump sum it's not relating to being an ext2 build (verses image style like main FRX04 build here), as when in sleep mode, nothing is getting accessed to USE more power to constitute that being a reason, as there both in low power mode, with equal amounts of access to reading changed values (very little). Which means it's very likely we can figure out what differences in this version getting this battery length, compared to normal equivalent ext2 rom builds battery.
I get (as of today, using normal FRX04 and camera additions and libraries) from 2pm-7pm dropped from 99% to 54% (about 10% per hour), with the differences being it was sleeping mostly the whole time in my holster. This seems like it's getting (from reading the post) 10% of USING it, and 45hours of standby, which is a HUGE difference.
thanks for the hard work
i'm definitely into trying this but i need to know
the difference of v4, v4 light and v4 fonts
sry if its silly to ask
So, This rom work with Raph800 ???
Can you advise me use any stable kernel ?
Thank for your help
No, haven't tried it yet on my raph800, but simply GUESSING it would since he's using viruscrazy's files from his thread, which does work on diamonds, raphs, etc. I will try it once i get a chance (or extra memory stick i don't mind making separate partitions), as right now i have 2.2(camera) and 2.3 install setup's (using images) as the way i have things done, i don't want to mess with making a separate ext2 partition to do this (reason i didn't do 2.3rom until they came out with the newer version setup with an image instead, like frx04 is done).
But when i get some time (or if someone ends up making the non-ext2 partition version on THIS build), i will shift some stuff around to make an extra partition for this as i would love to help test this out for raph800 users as well. I only have an 8gig, and have almost 7 gig's used, including both android versions, music, pictures (i take A LOT, and frequently)
Please delete mirrors of versions and let the guys fix the version 5..This versions contains warez apps..They delete the main mirrors until remove these apps and give back version 5 ..Thanks
By the way its the best build i saw untill now..

i have v5 huawei but problem is that my phone is heating after andriod installation ??
I have rooted my HTC One XT (S720t) to be at least allowed to do something with my device. China Mobile delivers the device totally locked up and hardly allows any useful software. Successfully installed Google market app but the ROM seems to have a feature to make sure it cannot be used (always crashed right after opening, others have also reported the same).
Unfortunately my company is bound to China Mobile so I was unable to buy a standard S720e if I want to enjoy 3G.
Rooting and and installing custom ROM was quite smooth and easy but it seems that the flashing the Android Revolution HD ROM has messed up my radio stack/baseband (at least within Android; bootloader still states the old correct radio stack).
I never had problems with the radio stack so I am quite new to this topic and have the following questions:
1. Do I have a problem or not?
2. I made a backup before flashing, will this also bring the radio stack back to normal? If yes, could I extract it from the backup and flash it manually via fastboot (device is rooted but S-ON)?
3. If 1 is not possible, can I flash the backup and then somehow dump the radio stack image?
4. Does anyone know where to get the shipped ROM for this device? S720t seems to be a very rare device and I cannot find anything. Have asked HTC but not sure if they will provide it to me to fix my device.
5. Does anyone know how to get this rubbbish China Mobile parallel market out of this phone and run the standard market (that would be already enough for me - I need Skype for my work). Full control for sure is always nicer.
Thanks for any comments...

Thanks Kluvj, was unaware of that website. As this website probably has more users I also might find some answers here by understanding the background better - that is easier than in Chinese. But I will definitely check it out...

Thanks, could you let me know why it will not work? Are the devices physically so different?
Have installed the ROM and everything looks fine besides the radio stack under Android stated as unknown. Bootloader states still the China Mobile radio stack (any idea how to backup this one so that I can flash back in case it is messed up?).
<Update>: Everything on the device works normally (also Wifi) BUT mobile is completely dead. After using recovery the old system is back but baseband still unknown and mobile network dead. So got myself a tablet for couch surfing now...

Finally managed to find the stock ROM, use the way described in the forum to get back to stock ROM and now everything is working again. Thanks, guys.
Main problem is, that the stock ROM phone is completely useless without apps. None of the apps that I have on my other phone are featured in the Chinese parallel market. No airline apps, no newsreaders, nothing. Just useless cute games and some standard apps and even the market application is in Chinese only.
A mighty phone - and nothing to do with it except listening to music, playing games and chatting. I am wondering how HTC can allow totally crippled phones like the S720t to be marketed. Crippled and no option to break out of the jail. Phone will go back to the shop tomorrow, even my Incredible S beats the S720t easily. This phone is a living brick.
i do have the same problem, could you help me, where you found stock kernel?
Sorry for the late reply, have been travelling...
I have downloaded a ROM from some Chinese filehosting websites (had to register first) and then got the file. Did a google check and cannot find my orginal DL-link anymore. Try to look for variations of ROM_ENDEAVOR_TD_ICS_40_HTCCN_CHS_CMCC_1.zip Can also upload the file somewhere; PM me how and then the phone can be brought back to original status again (check the stickies).
So far found no way to flash custom ROM (did not check for some weeks now). Easy solution to have access to software at least is to unlock the device and install the google app set manually, that will bring up the google market and that already made me happy.

I am in the same boat, i found this : http://bbs.gfan.com/mobile/android-4912638-1-1.html?extra=page%3D1%26amp%3Bfilter%3Dtype%26amp%3Btypeid%3D483
I initially tried to flash ARHD but it would not boot (bad boot.img i think), the ROM above works fine for now.
It is rooted and has Google Play.
If you flashed a wrong boot.img, that rom as the correct boot.img in the zip so you can extract and flash it.
Only downside is that it is slightly older (android 4.0.4, sense 4.0).
I will look for updates later as i just got the phone yesterday i haven't had time to properly look around.

Oh, thanks. That is actually the first custom ROM that I have seen.
Can you confirm that the radio stack is working/compatible?
I have Google Play installed now, just need to download the package and unzip it locally - but I would like to get rid off all this China Mobile rubbish and especially of their own app shop because it interferes with Google Play.
Might try that version later by myself (btw my original phone only came with Android 4.04. and Sense 4.0).

Yes all works fine and all the chinese crap is not there. only a Chinese webbrowser, but you can remove it and install what you want.
just before I installed the Rom I had the OTA which updates sense and the os, ARHD also has the updated software, but hopefully the guy will update the Rom soon .

This I understand but can't we just flash it with a different ROM from a different carrier? say UK ROM?
didnt he say he is running ARHD in the OP?
i didn't know this was released in china
is it confusing with all these different naming and devices for china?

Yes but he mentioned there was a problem with the radio stack/baseband therefore couldn't use his mobile.
From what I understand, the hardware for HTC One X and HTC One XT are pretty much the same. The only difference is the custom OS from each carrier.
So my question is, can I install any 1 of the custom ROMs from here for the One X on the One XT?
Any help would be great.
I think the HTC One XT uses another kind of mobile technology like SCDMA. Therefore, most ROMs here would work, but mobile wouldn't.

From what I understand, SCDMA is the Chinese variant of CDMA, and only works on China Mobile. You would have no luck trying to find a ROM here that supports SCDMA so try going on xda.cn

Hello there. If you'll follow me over to this thread and read for a bit you'll notice there are other users with the same issues and that it is due to some change in devices manufactured after the first quarter of this year.
For a currently unknown reason these new devices are incompatible with the kernel used by CM builds and thus recovery images. CM7 and CM9 kernels fail to properly handle the displays in these devices. ROMs based on stock kernels for gingerbread appear to lack the flaw an will initialise the display correctly.
If you could grab some logs from your broken CM7 install and post them it would REALLY help track down the issue and give the developers something tangible to fix. Ciao!

just go to the hardware info is just on top of the software info (the image that you took is from that tab) on the config app and you will see the model of your phone then just look for the ROM that matches it you can check here http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=41.
also remember that it´s very important to check if it´s a 16Gb model or a 32Gb model because the software changes depending on that too.

Actually, my phone have a problem on left ear channel and distortion occur when I was listen to the music using headphone/earphone. So, I think several possibility to solve this issue.
-First, install G3 tweaksbox and do audio tweak .
-Second attempt I will install custom rom if G3 tweaksbox fail to solve the audio distortion problem.
-If both method fail, i will demand replacement
