Beautiful and Superfast Moto X camera with great UI and animations. All credits to androidpolice.
Tested on Genxt 4.2.2 & CM 10.1, picture taking and everything works, but video fcs sometimes and works othertimes for me.
Should work on all (JB/4.1+) roms, but if not, you can simply install as it installs the camera as a seperate user apk
What works
The camera runs fine.
Tutorial.
Single shots.
Burst shots.
Video recording.
Front-facing camera toggle.
Swipe to open settings.
Swipe to open gallery, which asks which gallery app you want to launch.
Touch to focus toggle.
Flash mode toggle.
Shutter sound toggle.
Geo-tag toggle.
What doesn't work
Double-flick wrist gesture to launch the camera anytime.
Panorama mode currently crashes.
HDR mode is disabled and cannot be enabled.

just installed it, gonna test it soon.
Looks cool. My wife wants to know "how accurate is it"?
If you're the app dev, would like to know how it's calculating things. We're both university-trained amateur/hobby photographers and I'm a programmer, so i'm curious
It's quite accurate, but you have to understand the hardware limitations. This is a reflective light sensor, unlike incident light sensors used by companies like Sekonic. Stray light can put the sensor off by 2-3 stops.
The light sensor will output the amount of light detected in terms of lux. Using a few calculations, this is converted to an EV value. you can read more about this here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exposure_value#EV_as_a_measure_of_luminance_and_illuminance
With the EV value, this gives us the current exposure of the environment. Given a user selected ISO and aperture, it is then easy to calculate the required shutter speed for normal exposure.

Looks good thank you for sharing!
sky effect very well done :good:
Thanks, looks good.
Is there any way to use the telephoto lens without the annoying and fake blur effect?
It looks ok on portraits, but it makes impossible to take any other type of photography with that lens.
You can set the camera in manual mode and tap on lens to switch between the 2 cameras

You can also use it with normal camera mode and tap to zoom on the 1x to 2x, tada here it is you can use it now

That is digital zoom not the tele lens zoom.
Look at your camera when you press it.
You can see a physical movement of the lenses focussing when switching to the actual tele lens

It is digital soon unless there is enough light to switch to tele lens.
Hi guys,
I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this problem, but when my phone switches from the main photo sensor to the super macro, there is a clear difference. There is a shift and the colors are not the same.
Here a video to show the problem :/
New video by Céd Zhg
photos.app.goo.gl
Same moment, same distance but two photos very different :
the first one is the main camera, and second one is the super macro. The switch is not natural

It's a different camera on the phone isn't it? The switch would be expected. The phone isn't doing everything with just one camera/lens.

This is correct. Super macro mode uses the ultra wide camera. Every 'zoom level' in super macro mode just crops image from the ultra wide camera.
The difference would not be too noticeable? Especially in terms of colors and angle!
