JB 4.2.2 update - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

hi
my about phone looks like this:
Android version: 4.1.1
Baseband version: I9250XXLH1
Kenel version: 3.0.31-g6fb96c9
[email protected])
#1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jun 28 11:02:39 PDT 2012
Build number: JRO03C
I updated from stock ICS to JB 4.1.1 manually using bigxie maguro OTA JRO03C.
I wanna move to JB 4.2.2 manually.
Please help me out

Something about your setup isn't 100% 4.1.1. I am pretty sure XXLH1 is already a 4.2 baseband. There could be something else as well.

And why don't you want to fastboot JWR66V factory images?

that's in the wrong section.
but which rom are you using? easiest way would be to just flash a factory image where kernel is included.

[Q] Rooting/Unlocking?

Hello XDA,
I have a 1 year old AT&T Captivate Glide (Unrooted):
Model Number: SGH-I927
Android Version: 4.0.4
Baseband Version: I927UCLJ3
Kernel Version: 3.1.10-I927UCLJ3-CL970642 [email protected] #3 SMP PREEMPT Thu Oct 11 14:00:57 KST 2012
Build Number: IMM76D
It would be very helpful if somebody told me the difference between Rooting and Unlocking the phone.
Can you please also tell me the most reliable way to root it and the most stable kernel and ROM out there for this phone?
Thanks in advance.

I hope you have found your answer by now with a search. If not...
UNLOCKING allows you to take a GSM (SIM card) phone to any carrier
ROOTING allows you SuperUser (full administrative) access to your devices Android OS
You'll find that this phone is rather easy to root, let me know if you still need some help.

Custom rom for Samsung Galaxy S IV Clone

Hi everyone, I'm new here, so I appologize if I am in the wong section.
I have a (chinese?) Galaxy S IV Clone, and I'd really like to install a better rom if available, as the original is full of bloatware and has a poor memory management.
What I can get from the device:
Model number: GT-I9500
Android Version: 4.2.2
Baseband version: I9500XXUAMDE
Kernel Version: 3.0.31-310959 / [email protected]#1 / SMP PREEMPT Wed Oct 10 / 21:08:07 KST 2012
Compilation number: JDQ39.I9500XXUAMDE
Software version: V50.60
Serial Number: 0123456789ABCDEF
Thanks in advance for any help.
