Has anyone noticed that its pretty easy to pry the backing away from their nexus? For me its the top left corner while holding it portrait. Not sure if it's for ease of repairing or mine just is not snapping in tight enough. Let me know!
Mine does not, it doesn't budge at all.
I haven't spent any time trying to pry anything... Don't think I will.

Hi,
I replaced my screen after it got broken, and now after using the new one for a while, I noticed that it's little lifted from the device itself...
I added a screenshot for you to see.
Someone has this issue here also?
Should I be worried?
Thanks
Tom.
loose screw?
I had to check to make sure I wasn't in the nexus 7 section when I saw this topic lol.

I received my Gnex back from the repair centre after a screen replacement job and the bottom corner of the screen was slightly lifted. I just pushed it back in gently and it has remained in its place so far.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I've had my nexus since December and the screen hasn't lifted nor is there any dust under it. I'm happy, I wouldn't worry too much about if it is lifted.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Yeah try to snap it back in place or tighten the screw under that section and see if that helps. Or a decent case that wraps it round the edge would also help. I dont think the whole screen will just fall out so its more cosmetic than anything.

Yeah you just need to pop it back in place and tighten the screws in the back of the phone
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
housing not popped in correctly, loosen all the screws and pop it in ...
Thanks for the tips guys!

"With Google" was a prototype. I prefer the nexus logo.
Looks fairly similar to the current nexus

Dealbreaker will be the notification light and price of course. Let's do this
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
What do you mean notification light being a deal breaker? It was confirmed to have one weeks ago and if you don't want it, just disable it?
A notification light is far from anything that could deal break me.

Yes, lets use metal so I can have dents in my phone...
can't they make it even thinner? It looked so much like nexus, even with improved cpu it won't make it any smoother.

Dents is overrated. I'm not using them and my phone is running well.

Metal was so 2009. With newer, lighter and tougher materials like carbon fiber, you aren't going to see many more phones with any type of metal in them. Yes, regular "plastic" can have a cheap feel. But there are lots of newer process we are seeing on these materials that can give it a high quality look and even better feel than metal. Even so, I don't think the Nexus 4 displays much of a high quality look to it. My guess is Google is trying to keep the costs down to make it affordable in the Play Store.
headphone jack on the top? pooof mind bloooooown!

Its like a fat Galaxy Nexus, the current GN looks much cooler, but with the specs of the LG N4 you can forgive it

I love the idea of the c-pen.
Does anyone have any feedback?

Hopefully u don't use a screen protector. It makes it not work as well. Other than that I live mine. The only thing I don't like is the fact that its so big and I have to carry it around separately. I'm working on just using the tip in a smaller body with a clip that I can attach to the fold of the flip cover so that it doesn't interfere with it closing.
Other than that I love it. Oh yea, you can't use it on any other device.....

I like mine, but yea you have to press kind of hard if you have a screen protector,
Btw I can use my Cpen on wife's note 10.1
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I don't have have a note 10.1 to test.... I can see it working on that as the screen is similar to ours. Same with the note and note 2. As far as iphones, iPads, my transformer etc. It will work if u push extremely hard.... feels like I'll break the glass though if I do. Its because the tip is so fine, roughly half the size of a standard stylus
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
it's to my understanding that the reason the C-Pen won't work on most other devices is because the Galaxy S3 and a few other Samsung devices have a higher "resolution" (if you will) touch sensor. Basically it doesn't require as much of a contact patch to detect touch.
I need to get kickstand case asap cause im leaving USA next friday, and in my country no nexus accessories, so is there anyway getting kickstand case before leaving?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Not until they start manufacturing them. Shipping mid to late August IIRC.
I think your SOL. Make one out of paper clips, bull dog clips or card board. There are plenty of YouTube videos about making a tablet stand.
I have one from a DVD case. Works awesome.

That's my thoughts if this one dies. As long as the HDMI converter works on them. Haven't researched it yet though.

That galaxy 7" my mom picked to replace hers is doing nicely, I'm not sure it's a huge improvement but it runs well enough and probably lower in price now then it was a few months ago, especially with the first gen n7 coming down to $200 for 32gb. The screen alone would make it a better device then the a100 if nothing else.
OK. Asus memo pad. Its like $100 right now, and it has like a 5340ma battery, I'm all about that! Reportedly they're gonna come out with a new one for $150 though, and the Samsung one has an ir blaster built in, and multiwindow, and since it Samsung there should be a strong development forum to fallback on. Tough call.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Those look good but I'm not too concerned with the root ability ofy tablet, I'm more concerned on what it can do and if its smooth. If I go with the Samsung I'll want to mod the multi window so I can use any app with it though.
