Hi all, I have a telus t989d that I want to return to factory settings (unroot) now I'm looking for the telus stock kernel but couldn't find it anywhere, can someone help me plz
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
just odin back to stock update 2.3.6
I have been looking for the Telus stock kernel as well. I know that there was a link to an unmodified kernel here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1325168
But the link isn't working anymore. I know -Mr. X- released a recompiled stock kernal (minus CIQ) in his tweaked ROM here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356739
Would that kernel be good enough (provided I flashed the stock ROM and recovery) if I had to return the phone somehow?
If not, does anyone have a working link to bubby323's stock kernel?
Thanks for any help (it probably goes without saying that I'm new).
Hey guys.
I am running a Samsung Galaxy S III i747m on Bell Mobility.
I am running Cyanogen mod and I would like to flash back to stock rom.
I know I need to download the stock rom but I am not sure which one.
I have found many "Bell Stock roms"
Could someone please post the direct link to the download?
Thanks!
There's more than one stock Bell image, as seen here.
If you're looking for the latest stock ROM, you want this one (taken from the above post).
thanks!
Hello,
Sorry for the Noob questions but here goes... Device info first, then the questions
Rooted T989 with Bombaridier ROM (from galaxys2root . com)
ROM Specifics -
Current Firmware Version (per Kies) - PDA:KID / PHONE:KID / CSC:KID
Android Version - 2.3.5
Baseband Version - UVKID
Kernel Version - 2.6.35.11 (Synergy kernel)
...and the questions
1. Can I update via Kies since ROM is not Stock and device is Rooted, or will it fail. ( I get prompted by Kies everytime I connect the phone, asking me if I want to upgrade the firmware version )
2. If successful, will I lose root after flashing
3. Will new ROM contain all the T-Mobile bloatware and other crap that I don't want or need
4. Does anyone know which Android version (4.?.?) was last released for this phone / correlates to this firmware that it will get updated to from Kies? PDA:MC6 / PHONE: MC6 / CSC:MC6 (TMB) is what Kies is offering
5. If answer to question #3 is "Yes, bloatware and other useless crap will be there", than would someone be so kind as to recommend a fast, stable, bug-free JB ROM with good battery life for this phone?
Many thanks in advance, and apologies for the multitide of questions.
Regards.

1. If your phone is detected by KIES, the phone should update no problem.
2. You will lose root but it is very easy to gain it back.
3. Yes it will contain bloatware. Currently I am using Speed Stock Reloaded.
4. The android version is 4.1.2
FYI...
Flashed the phone via Kies update with no problems. Lost root, but re-rooted. Used Titanium Backup to backup and delete all the crap that was not needed, and created a backup with ROM Manager. Phone was running great with Stock 4.1.2 but then flashed with SuperNexus ROM for a more vanilla Android experience since I was giving the phone to my wife. Very fast, stable and problem free ROM if anyone is interested.
Thanks for the information. Much obliged
HI guys,
desparately need a link to download stock ROM 4.1.1 for Rogers Galaxy S3
Links posted previously on XDA do not seem to work.
Appreciate if you let me know where I could find it.
Check samfirmware.com.
If you have a stock 4.3 ROM on your phone, do not try to install an older bootloader because it will brick your phone.

ATT Galaxy S III i747 WiFi Calling?
I have an i747 phone unlocked to T-mobile running cyanogenmod 11 4.4.4 kitkat. The Baseband version is i747UCUFNE4, which is the kitkat baseband. Can I install this rom and if so are there any specific steps I would have to follow? Would I have to somehow downgrade the baseband to the Jellybean one?
All I'm really after with this ROM is wifi calling, which I've read does work with an ATT phone on this ROM.
Quick question
I had original update from T-Mobile to 4.3 stock .... rooted and put on CM 11 M12 and added also OnePlusOne Theme ... if I want to switch to this ... do I still need to flash a modem ... I don't really know how that works ... or I just wipe and install this. Thanks
Question about Download
This may very well be a dumb question but why is it everytime I try to download a custom rom from Dev-Host file sharing system, the zip file downloads as an EXE file. Very suspicious of this, but what is it that I don't know because I've seen this on many download links for various roms!
Where's the zip file for this rom?
When I flash rom it flashes like a normal rom I get no aroma install or options for aroma, what am I doing wrong?

Hi I have a question on updating my bootloader on my phone. I have a t999l and I am running 4.1.2 my modem is UVUBNC1 I flashed the modem myself. I want to flash StockMod with TWRP that my phone already has. I was told in the main thread for this ROM that its in my best interest to update the bootloader. How do I do this without having to flash a 4.3 stock rom with odin? I'm trying not to have to re root my phone. I guess I'm just confused...lol

You have to. And re-rooting is way easier provided you have the TWRP .tar file and ODIN in hand along with the SuperSU flashable to enable root. Your model's latest ends with the letters NF4, click here for the ODIN firmware download.

That did the trick! I'm all set. Thank you!
Missing .tar file
I plan to do a ROM upgrade on my stock Samsung Galaxy S III SGH-T999 but after downloading the file twice, there was no .tar or md5 file on the zip folder to be used for ODIN to flash.
Below are the only files that was on the zip folder and the total size was over 1gb:
META-INF (Folder)
system (Folder)
boot (Image File)
I downloaded it from: http://d-h.st/atH. Was there another mirror link to get the correct ROM file?
I appreciate any help.
UPDATE: I figured this out by watching YT and using 7z.
Finally got it installed! Thanks Devs and for the help of DocHoliday777! Your inbox is full.
I have a question regarding this ROM.
1. Is there a way to remove some of the default system wallpapers?
2. Will i have ROM issues if i flash the latest firmware to UVUEOH1?
Look in /system/wallpaper
Thanks for the heads up on my inbox. Was gone a while and need to clean it out!
As for the firmware update, it may cause minor issues with flashing roms, but it should be just fine as far as functionality goes. Flashing roms may be an issue simply because the updater-script may not have been recently updated to include OH1 firmware.
I'll just stick with T999UVUENC2 until a new StockROM for the newer UVUEOH1 build.
