I don't know if this is available or if its even possible but with the various HSDPA variants I would love to know which I was currently on.
Can a mod be written to change the H icon to either H H+ or H D-C depending on the signal you are on?
Pretty sure there are mods like this already, if not, flash AOKP/cm they both have the H,H+ etc

Is there and easy way to modify the bull**** that sprint now integrates into their android phone default theme. I want it to display the 1x icon and not the 3G icon when on 1x data. Also it would be cool if the 3G icon could be replaced by an Ev icon........would this be a theme setting. Is anyone working on this for a custom rom?
Im sure It will come with custom roms and themes.

Prolly a silly noob question, but is there a ROM/kernel that changes how the signal bars and icons look? When i'm in 4G mode, I like how the official 4G LTE logo comes on (a la HTC Thundebolt).
On my DInc I was using Cyanogen 7 and had custom Notification Bar Icons. I'd imagine Cyanogen 9 will natively support that and it's coming soon. I'm still too cautious to try any other ROMs yet.
Yes I would like to change the symbols too. The default GNex ones are not good. I prefer the Motorola ones.

You can change them yourself by editing images within your SystemUI apk.

Is there a mod available to change the H icon to 4G? I had this on my Sensation but cannot find anything for the Hox.

but, in ViperX rom, u have the options. lte, H, 4G, 3G, 3G+, H+... whatever u want.

I'm tried of seeing stupid "3G/H+" on my N4 and all previous devices. (I know those are T-Mobiles frequencies or whatever) and I was wondering how to change it to 4G/LTE. Just looks way better

Go into the ROM you're using and change the .png files located in system>app>system ui.apk>res>drawable-xhdpi

As subject says, how can I replace the stock Sprint LTE icon with the stock Verizon 4G LTE icon? The icon update looks horrible and cheap IMHO. Is it possible to replace it??

I believe rom toolbox app has that option to change status bar icons , or their was a xposed tweak
