Hi.
I left my Arc S went out of battery and now it doesn't boot.
I put it charging on my pc by usb and it turn the green led on. Pressing the power button, it does nothing at all. If I take the cable it when I press the power button it just blink the red led and doesn't boot.
I'm on trip and need my phone urgently. How can I fix this? Could the battery be dead? It shouldn't turn on just even without battery?
Thank you!!

Does it show the battery charging on the screen?
My arc shows the charging battery icon on screen when charging it while being off.
I think you might need to leave it charging for a while before powering it on. Another thing, try a charger instead of the pc.

Don't panic. Just connect it to the charger and wait for few minutes and see after a while it starts up or not. If it doesn't, if you can, try to turn it on with another battery.
Thanks a lot. It doesn't show the charger screen.
I don't have the charger with me, just the usb cable... :/
I'm on other island, where I'll stay until the end of the week...
So do you think that charging by USB it doesn't deliver the necessary power to boot the phone?
Thanks a lot!!
BTW, is the led turning green as soon as you connect it to the cable?

Yes!! On the begin it just blinks the red led, but in a few seconds it stabilize on the green one. Do you know what that means?
Take out battery
Hold powerbutton 30 sec
Insert battery
Connect it to the usb
Dont touch it at all and wait minimum 30 minutes
After 30 min, tap the homebutton.
Did it show the charging icon on display?
Sent from my LT15i using xda premium
Thanks to everyone people!!
I was able to find someone on the hotel with a micro-usb charger!! As you told, it worked like a charm!!
Thanks a lot!
hi dude
i wanna ask
yesterday i use my HOX till battery empty [die]
when 1st i connect to charger, Red LED blink
and i try to turn on but after that Red LED is gone
i had to charge my phone several hours and try to turn it on again but can't
so anyone can help me?
Plug it in the pc and check what happends, or leave it on the wall charger again for a full night. If it won't turn on after that with different button combinations like power and volume up/down then there is nothing we can do !

You get a replacement battery for under $10 already. Won't that help?
The G3 just dropped down on the floor with the circle case. Then It was working some minutes apparently with no problem, until I myself turn the phone off and restart it. Then the device just didn't turn on. The only thing is that the screen is black and the led notification blinking green and blue
when i connect the charger, the red led blinks once and then disappears, then after 30 seconds the red led appears which apparently shows that the phone is charging the battery. Also When I connect the phone to the PC, a sound of connection is heard from PC but the PC doesn't complete the device recognition process as no new device is found.
I tried to make a hard reset, but nothing happens when I press the power and volume down keys. Tried some other tricks with the battery and the hard keys on the phone but no result at all, as the same story just repeats. Does anybody have a solution for the problem? This devise is the only android device I have
Help
Please Help :crying:

Did you do anything else after/during the time that the phone was off? And is there no possibility that you cracked the LCD digitizer? I mean it might sound strange but this is what I had with my old phone. I dropped it, nothing serious but then I put it in my pocket and upon taking it out I noticed the screen not turning on. As stated above, my digitizer was broken and multiple people told me that the digitizer had a small crack which I didn't notice, then when I put it in my pocket I put too much pressure on the digitizer cracking it. The LED-light did work though, and this sounds very similar so my advise going to the store and asking wether they know what the problem might be.
(Hopefully this was helpfull hehe)

If you Don't see the LG splash screen when pressing the power button it seems like a screen or digitizer problem for sure.
BUT;
after you try turning it "on" let it sit a few minutes and see if you can call your self or send a text to see if it makes noise vibrates etc. to confirm a screen problem.
OR
Also you can try putting it into download mode.
Battery pull (don't turn on)
plug USB into phone but not computer
Hold volume down AND then plug usb into computer
if this comes up to a pic of something on the phone it will be software related. to get out of this mode you can do a battery pull.
Remember to always read up on topics and things you are doing. There are guides here on XDA to help you out.
Hope you get your phone working

I didn't do anything special after/during the time the phone was off. I checked the screen very carefully under a lamp. No particular sign of crack. Thank you very much for sharing ur experience.:good:

I tried to put it into download mode, but no result at all as no connection could also be made between the phone and PC. Moreover, I tried to make a text/call, but nothing is received by the phone. Thank you very much for ur suggestions.

Seems like the drop damaged the memory and the phone can't reload it, you will have to bring it in

Yeah that's plausible ! I'd bring it in too
Hope you fix your phone fast
Yeah... Probably it's a hardware problem. Someone who checked the phone in order to fix it, said that the problem had been with the device board. Even though I was satisfied with the phone, I have found out that the G3 is a sensitive device, as the height of the table from which it dropped down wasn't too much. So always take care of your G3 phone.
I keep an eye on a Xperia M in a very good price. Though after a full discharge while using it as a flashlight the owner cannot manage to turn it back on.
I've read a lot about this but his phone has one werid thing I cannot find any info about, the LED blinks just once after charger being plugged in.
Does anyone have any idea what that means? Is it safe to assume that Vol+ and Power button will revive it?
So I was talking on my Z2plus and I dropped the phone it was in its original case.
no physical damage to the phone.
but it won't power on now. tried all the button combination nothing works ,no vibration nothing.
When I connect it to the charger the notification LED blinks.
Connected it to my laptop too still nothing.
any idea what to do with it now?
UPDATE: saw this suggestion in the official lenovo forums to remove the back cover and unplug and plug back the battery.
tried it and it works.PHone has started .
UPDATE 2: The phone has shutdown again and unplugging and plugging the battery doesn't work any more. but notification light blink when connected to charger whether the battery is connected or not. so I think that battery might be at the fault here.cant do anything about it as lockdown is going on.will update once lockdown is over.
